A debate that has always been in the minds of German people ever since the idea of nationalism and unity is instill in the minds and hearts of every Germans.


A dream of a united Germany under one flag and nation.


For now, Germany has been divided into three states – the German Empire, the Austrian Empire, and the South German Confederation. From hundreds of different empires, kingdoms, princedoms, dukedoms and city states into three major states.


This is the best alternative that the other European powers would allow – divide it into three to keep the balance of power. If one of the three becomes stronger, the two would ally with each other to curb its desire of invading others.
