Edward and Daisy both had trouble falling asleep that night. Edward was overly preoccupied with his interactions with Daisy today. Inside of him, a complex jumble of emotions emerge.
He was aware that Daisy had him in the palm of her hand without her being aware of it. She was so sensitive and innocent throughout the situation, which astounded him. Because of her ignorance, he had a moment of both happiness and sadness. Happy that someone so pure and kind may exist in such a harsh world as ours. His senses were sufficiently dulled by her finesse. But what really hurts him is that she was too gullible to realise that he too likes her after all this time. Yes, Edward was aware of Daisy's interest in him right away. His main source of sadness was the possibility that Daisy would have gone on without ever showing any sign of liking him.
Daisy, on the other hand, was baffled by Edward's recent behaviour. She had noticed that he had altered his conduct. She was aware that he was acting strangely. She was aware that Edward also likes her. However, she hesitated. unwilling to display any signs. notwithstanding how much more improved she feels when she is with him. regardless of what he does to her. She still lacked the bravery to express her emotions. She only wants to wait. Await the arrival of the right moment. She sincerely wants to avoid losing Edward at any costs. In order to find the partner she has always desired, she does not want to lose a friend like Edward.
That evening, they both thought back on those earlier times. They came to a conclusion as a result of their entire exchange of words and looks.
Daisy makes the decision to be patient. Wait until school is out. After a year, she will confess to Edward on the last day of school. Whether he liked her or not is irrelevant. If she is chosen, she will find the lover she has always desired, but if not, she will find someone else. Get rid of Edward. She will also lose a close friend. Because if she continues to be friends with Edward, her notion of love will not be supported. As,
"You were never in love if you stay friends with a lover,"
Daisy, though, was aware that she had loved Edward from the beginning. So it's best for both of them to move on. She understood that losing a friendship could save both of their lives. Daisy won't be able to see Edward with anybody other than her, so she won't feel jealous or uneasy. Edward, though, will be given his own space and won't worry about his friend, who he is aware is in love with him. She thinks that this is best for them both.
Edward, on the other hand, decided to make Daisy feel things. He was aware that he had been making the effort for far too long, but she mistook it for a pleasant gesture and ignored him. Deep down, he was also aware that Daisy had picked up on his preferences and had been touched by them. However, she was too timid to respond to anything. He was aware that she was waiting for him to do something as well. According to his idea of love,
"Girls always want boys to initiate contact with them."
Which Edward made a decision to do. He was aware, deep down, that sometimes his emotional outbursts were signals for her. Like when he would occasionally give Daisy a loving look, call her "little one," or give her a comforting nod when he wasn't speaking to a buddy. But the carnival activities he performed today involved a lover's mask. The hug he gave her, the way he held her hands in his, the way he went to a boring area simply to buy her a "Teddy Bear," the way he addressed her as "Love" all made her feel loved. He was too dang in love, he knew. But he only wished to arouse her emotions and make her aware of his feelings for her. His opinion of her worth. What damage her gaze caused to his wretched soul.
He wanted her to be at peace, though, in all honesty. He didn't want to rush them both into anything. Edward made the decision to wait till the proper moment. When Daisy will at last understand his possessive behaviour.
They both understood, deep down, that they were waiting for one another. They both peered at the moon through the bedroom window as if Daisy were in front of Edward and Edward were in front of Daisy. Both responded at once,
"Ah, the things you did to me"
They both grinned while sighing and continued,
"It's going to be difficult."
They each screamed out each other's names while being connected by an unseen string.
"Daisy..."
"Edward..."
"I"
Under a different roof but the same sky, they both smiled and flushed simultaneously.
"Nevermind"
