Chapter one

Soms is the only son of mrs adaego obi and Brother to her six daughters, after her husband died he took care of her children herself but her husband didn't leave her empty handed,he owns many companies which he gifted to his kids, but Soms got the biggest company, "J Suit fashion company" they were celebrity designers, which means that they are very popular.

Soms got up very late as usual, the house was oddly quite, but he didn't seem to care,he first of all bushed his teeth and then had his bath,he dressed,he has always loved wearing suits, they made him look more handsome than he is,Soms is a very tall and muscled person,his looks are like that of a basketball player,he was a little light skinned and always keep his hair low and boy does his love boots.

He went downstairs but direct to the kitchen and had some tea, normal before he could wake the maid has already made him breakfast and brought it to his room but he didn't even care about the were about of the maid or even anyone because the house was as quite as a grave.

He walked through the yard,then got to the parking lot,

he got to his car, pressed the button and it open,he puts his hands on the door and opened it but immediately he saw his family members inside the car,of course it was a very big car,he knew what was about to happen but before he could run for it,"SPLASH" he heard a buket of water on him and then they yelled out"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" oh yes it was his birthday even himself had forgotten about his birthday.

Soms: Okay I love you all but ready (pointing to his wet clothes) now I will have to change again.

Zara : You do know that if you change we will have to pour you another water right.(zara was the last born in the obi's family).

Soms: Okay fine I will go like this to the office, but what will I tell my boss.

Mrs adaego: Are you trying to make me laugh (his mother said) So you are afraid of yourself.

Soms: Mother (he hugged her)

Mrs adaego: happy birthday my son (hugging him back)

Muna: Okay now,blow out your candles Mr birthday guy (muna was the first daughter of the obi's family)

Soms: But I don't see any candles(looking at the cake Muna was holding)

Muna: can't you just use your imagination (she suggested he blow out a made up candles)

Soms: okay fine (he then blew out the made up candles).

Mrs adaego: So before any other thing, how is my daughter in-law(she said with a big smile on her face)

Soms: Daughter in-law, when did that one happen(he said confused)

Mrs adaego: I am talking about the girl you said will be bringing to us as your wife (she said with curiosity on her face)

Soms stayed quiet for while,then immediately clapped his hands together and said

Soms:Oh my goodness, I have forgotten (with his face so serious)

Adure:Who did forget (adure is the second daughter of the obi's family)

Soms:No I forgot she was at the airport, I have to go and pick her up ( he said trying to enter into his car)

Mrs adaego: What's that name again.

Soms: It's rita Mom, Rita (he wanted to leave but was called back)

Muna: At least take a bite from the cake before going.

He entered his car,then Muna gave him a a piece of cake 🥧 and then he drove off as the gate keeper opened the gate for him.

But as adaego and her daughters wanted to go inside the house, adura got a message from an unknown number.

Adura: Wait oh a text just came Saying that the cake was poisoned.

Adaego: Poisoned how,somto just had that cake(she said fearing for her son's life) call him immediately,who sent it?

they all took their phone trying to call Soms, Just then another Text came again.

Adura: Wait it's another Text and it also reads unknown number

Adaego: Well hurry and read it (she panicking)

Adura: It says "Hey it's soms I don't know what I did to my phone, it's been reading unknown number,I just wanted to say don't eat the cake it tastes like poison, sorry for scaring you"

Adaego:(she signs a sign of relief) That boy can be stupid at times.

Adure's face was filled with angry.

Adure: How dare him call my cake poison (she said with anger)

Adaego: Don't get yourself worked up because of that Silly boy, let's go in I am starving.

Adure: Give me that cake (she took the cake from muna)

Adaego: What are you going to do with that and where are you going (Seeing that adure was heading outside the gate) let's go (they followed her)

When they got outside they found that Soms was still outside inside his car.

Adure: Perfect,his still here, it's time to give him a piece of my mind (She smiled evilly)

muna yelled soms name as she saw adure trying to throw the cake at som's car, Soms turned and saw what was about to happen but before he could drive off , adure has already threw the cake and it landed on the back of som's car and he drove off to avoid any other thing, they all laughed as they went back in .

In soms car as he was driving, he was singing to ckay's felony playing in his car,as his phone rings, he picked it up, it's was adebayo his best friend from birth.

Soms:My guy how far na (they spoke in pigeon english).

Bayo: My guy I dey oo, wait no ckay song be that?

Soms: His lastest song.

Bayo:Ckay na my guy.

Soms: You self,na every body be your guy.

Bayo: Leave that thing,I just call make I tell you happy birthday

Som's: Thanks man,oh boy this birthday na the same thing every year.

Bayo:Wetin happen, wait don't tell me it's your family again

Soms:Who else.

Bayo: You know what just come my office so we go talk.

Soms: okay I dey come (the call ended).

Soms arrived at bayo's office,he give his car to a worker there to help him park it,then he and the receptionist greeted and took the elevator and stopped at the second floor, that is bayo's office,as he came out of the elevator,he then saw girls lined up in front of bayo's office,they greeted him as he went into bayo's office,they both shook hands and soms sat down.

Soms: So what is happening out there.

Bayo:Oh you mean the girls, it's nothing I just needed few more models for my new collection that's it, wait make I tell them make em go, oh I need to hear your gist.

Bayo stood up behind his door as he opened it and said:

Bayo: That will be all for today girls but please do come tomorrow okay.

Girls:(they all said list they knew what to say) okay Mr bayo.

They all left,then bayo came in back to his office smiling.

Bayo:oh boy those girls fine.

Soms: Need I remind you that you are married man.

Bayo: Married, how ashame I am to answer a married man where my wife is fucking another.

Soms: Jesus, bayo watch what you say about your wife and what do you mean by fucking another?

Bayo: Yes my brother, wait soon you will see it yourself, she's been doing it with her boss in their office desk.

Soms: I can't believe this I thought titi is like the best wife anyone should ask for

Bayo: Me too.

Just then soms phone rang.

Soms:Oh shit is my mom, you need to tell her the girl left me for another man

Bayo: Wait what girl?

Soms: Just take it.

He forced bayo into taking the call.

Bayo: Hello good morning ma

Adaego: Who is this?

Bayo:Ma it's adebayo ma.

Adaego:Why are you answering my son's calls now,is he coming home with my daughter in-law?

Bayo:Am sorry ma but she's with another man now.

Adaego: What are you talking about, what do you mean?

Bayo: She got married to another.

Adaego:Chai my poor son must be so sad.

Bayo:Yes ma that is why I picked his calls, he's been crying endlessly.

Adaego: But did he actually see her.

Bayo:No but she called and said that herself, she said she was just kidding around when she said she was at the airport.

Adaego: Just let my son know that he isn't alone, women can be something else.

Bayo:Yes ma I will do just that

Adaego: Thank you for being a good friend.

Bayo:ah thank you ma.

The call ends.

Bayo:Dude your mother worries sick about you,e no dey hard just find a girl and get married already and make her happy, you know say she don old.

Soms: I can't just married anyone,I have to find the one I love.

Bayo:Oh shut up, you've been looking for the one you love for eges now.

Soms: And I will find love.

Bayo: Nonsense, do you want to tell me about the girl that got married to another guy.

Soms: There is no girl,I was just lying and by the way how did you know I said she's in the airport.

Just then bayo's personal phone rang,he didn't say much just "hello" and "okay bye".

Bayo: Now I will show you my friend that I do not lie.

Soms: What do you mean?

Bayo brought out a laptop from his bag open it and unlocked it.

Bayo:I had cctv planted in my wife's boss's office, so I can see them my self and behold.

He shows the laptop to his friend

Soms:Oh my goodness.

Bayo: You see it right.

Soms:Yes but why must titi do this.

Bayo:Titi is just a sex addict, She ask for it every day and I give it to her, but then she starts working in her new company and look her boss is fair which turned her on immediately, now this is happening.

Soms: I once had a girl that is also a sex addict, you remember her na.

Bayo:Yes chioma right

Soms:Yes I broke up with her the next week (They both laughed).

At soms home.

Adaego: I can't believe she made him wait all this years and then stood him up.

Nneka:If I were her I'll do the same.

Adaego: Why say so?

Nneka: Maybe she knows that sommy will never marry her.

Chizam: But she could have told brother, I know he will be so sad right now.

Muna:Yea and that is why I want us to throw him a surprise party.

Adaego:We do that every year, so it's no longer a surprise anymore.

Chizam: So we just need something to surprise him with.

Adaego: But what.

Just then a knock was heard on the door, then chinelo their maid went to the door and checked came.

Chinelo: Ma'am Someone is here looking for sir Soms.

Adaego: who is it?

Chinelo: Ma she said her name is Rita.
