Entering the Kingdom of Falmuth

Two weeks passed.

Lucas did as his mother had asked him to. He was always under her care whenever they ventured out. Lucy joined in as well some days but on the other days, she used to rest at home.

They lived at the outskirts of their own village, away from everyone else and rarely ever talked to the villagers. Nobody visited them and the area they were in, Leya had ensured to keep it safe and free of any monsters. It was thus quite safe to leave Lucy at home.

Lucas defeated many small monsters during their adventures and Leya basically had to do nothing to help him. She merely watched him and cooked food for him.

Lucas put away his relaxed attitude for these two weeks and seriously worked hard to prove to his mom that he could survive on his own if he were to ever venture outside. He also stopped her from making camp and cooking food and did it on his own.

Part of the reason was that he didn't want to see his mom work hard and another was to assure her that he could do things on his own.

The last few days, the two ventured deeper into monster territories near their kingdom's outskirts. The monster territory was on the border of the Kingdom of Siltrosso and Kingdom of Ingrasia. Adventurers used to venture here regularly to hunt monsters and collect their cores and other things to sell them.

Leya straightaway went to the deeper parts with Lucas and Lucas having good control over magic due to all the training he had done previously with his sister in this world, was able to survive well even in the deeper parts which was the last thing that Leya wanted to see to get assurance.

Lucas, when he reincarnated and saw his memories, he automatically was able to use the sword well and also magic. He didn't need to put any extra effort and so that was what made him strong enough to defeat monsters.

The monsters he defeated were all F, E, or D class ones and Leya knew about it.

But if Lucas were to go out anywhere, he would mostly only come across these types of monsters and coming across anyone of higher class was rare.

She thus finally felt assured that her son would be able to survive on his own if he ventured out. But of course, this still didn't make her stop being concerned about him. So she made up her mind to keep a watch over him from time to time to ensure his safety.

After the two weeks had passed, Lucas finally set off for his journey that would take who knows how long.

He said his goodbyes to his mother and sister and told them that he would be back within a week or two. Leya obviously refused to let him be out for two weeks but after a lot of convincing, kisses, hugs, and buttery words, he was able to convince her.

Lucy also protested but he applied the same tactic on her and convinced her. She may fight and banter with him, but she obviously loved and cared for him just as much as he did for her and he knew her concerns were fair and valid.

In the end, he ended up convincing the two and set off for his journey to meet Veldora, the storm dragon that was sealed in a cave in the Jura Forest.

The Jura Forest was too far away from Lucas's home.

He first had to travel into the Kingdom of Falmuth, then cross this whole kingdom and go to the Kingdom of Blumund. From Blumund, he had to make way towards the Cave of Imprisonment where Veldora was sealed.

This cave was well known by the adventurers of the Kingdom of Blumund and later in future when Veldora disappears, the Guildmaster Fuze would send Kaval's party to check what has happened there.

Lucas thus had to make his way towards the Free Guild branch in Blumund first and from there, ask where the Cave of Imprisonment was and move there.

He had to pass through many border patrols and guards as well as kill many monsters on the way. It was a difficult task, but he had to do it. There was no other way.

Lucas thankfully could use magic. His proficiency was good and he didn't need to cast spells to use them. His proficiency was so good, he could use the magicules in the surroundings to glide through air and travel almost at a very fast speed. He could easily cover a hundred kilometres in an hour with this speed.

The total distance, if Lucas wasn't wrong, was around 1500 kilometres from his home to the cave of imprisonment. It would take him fifteen hours roughly with this speed to reach there.

But he couldn't move with this speed for long durations. The magicules in his body were used to have him glide through the air.

He used the magicules from his body to make the magicules in the surroundings propel him forwards. There was consumption and since he only had 10,000 MP, he would need to rest and recover it.

Every hour, depending on the performance, 500-1000 magicules from his body were used. To recover that much amount back, he had to rest for an hour.

So in total, it would take him around a day and a half to reach that place.

He couldn't glide in the air since that would cause some people to get alerted and he would bring unnecessary attention onto him.

There were Demon Lords that ruled the lands herre and they weren't anyone weak. Lucas couldn't compete with them yet. He wasn't strong enough.

He thus had to glide just a few inches above ground and had to pass through cities and border security and stuff to get to Jura Forest, that would take him additional time.

Lucas was away from home already and he crossed the border of the Kingdom of Siltrosso and Kingdom of Falmuth. There was patrol in some areas, but he was able to sneak past them and enter without spending any money.

The patrol guards anyway were lazy and didn't care much about anyone. They only bullied the weak and lazed around.

After Lucas entered the kingdom, he made his way towards the Kingdom of Blumund.

Just as he was a few kilometres inside the kingdom, he saw a merchant caravan.

He stopped in his tracks and looking at them, thought to himself with a smile, 'what good luck do I have? If that caravan is of someone influential, I won't need to go through the hassle of border security and can bypass them easily.'

'Let me go check it.'
