It's a trade secret
"Everyone's gone now, wifey. You can stop hugging me."
Just as Lucas said that…
"Oww! Oww." He cried out in pain.
Elmesia had backed off and pinched Lucas's stomach. It wasn't a light pinch, but a strong one, causing Lucas to yell out in pain.
"Who is your wife!?" Elmesia shouted while still retaining the blush on her face.
She may be an Empress and she may be much much older than Lucas, but she was still a person who hasn't been in contact with a person of opposite sex. She was a virgin through and through and it was no doubt that she would feel flustered like that.
It was her first time hugging someone of the opposite sex and she was bound to feel this way.
Before, she had only hugged people in her family, and they too were all females since she was a very conservative person.
But now, Lucas hugging her was something she never expected he would do. It was totally out of her mind that he may use such a tactic.
Thus, experiencing a hug from a man for the first time was bound to make her blush and flustered.
But since she was a mature lady, she controlled all of these and hid it behind the slight blush she had on her face, making Lucas not notice the myriad of emotions she was going through.
"Feeling pained?" Elmesia asked, looking at the suffering Lucas in front of her.
"Of course. If you pinch any harder than that, I am 100% sure my skin will come off." Lucas said with visible pain on his face.
Elmesia loosened her hold on Lucas as she heard that. She didn't know why she did that but she felt like not hurting him now.
"Thanks." Lucas said to her and rubbed his stomach, trying to ease the pain and shoving her hands off of him.
"Humph." Elmesia took her hands back and pouted.
Lucas looked at her pout again and was about to call her out again for it, but this time he noticed that her pout was genuine and she didn't seem angry but…
Embarrassed?
Lucas was surprised looking at the change in her expression. Why was she embarrassed?
Lucas was about to think more over this topic when he felt the sting from his stomach. It pained him and so his focus shifted onto that.
He put his hand above the place he had just got pinched and using the magicules in his body, he tried to heal that place by making the magicules act as a catalyst in his body and speed up his body's natural repair process.
Elmesia felt the magicule fluctuations and she turned towards that place and saw Lucas healing his wound.
She became surprised watching what he was doing and also felt more interested.
Lucas, because of the pain, forgot that he was standing in front of one of the world's strongest sorcerer and accidentally ended up revealing his prowess a bit.
Elmesia closed in on him and bent down to look at his wound closely.
She saw it! She saw the wound getting repaired with her own eyes and it was happening at a very fast rate.
What was more amazing was the fact that she could sense nothing about a spell being cast and what she felt was that she was looking at the body's natural repairing process.
Lucas noticed Elmesia looking at his wound and realized that he just revealed his prowess to her a bit.
But instead of panicking, he continued to heal himself and a few seconds later, his wound on the stomach got healed.
Lucas looked down at Elmesia and said, "stop staring at my body. I called you my wife to get out of the problematic situation. Don't act like one now."
"What!?" Elmesia was surprised hearing that and said in reflex.
How was she acting like a wife now? And also, what the hell did he mean by that!?
She knitted her brows and said, "aren't you getting ahead of yourself?"
Lucas shook his head and said, "you were the one staring at my body."
Elmesia wanted to retort but she couldn't. What Lucas said was true. But just then…
'Wait a minute! Why am I, the great Empress of the Sorcerer's Dynasty Sarion, getting played around like a little girl in front of this guy?' Elmesia became self-conscious and thought to herself.
She also just realized that all this while, for some reason, she didn't act like an Empress at all but as a normal girl in front of Lucas.
This has been going on ever since the time she met him in the jungle. She wondered why such a thing happened.
But then, she let go of these thoughts as she thought of something important.
Elmesia looked at Lucas and asked, "how did you do that?"
"Do what?" Lucas asked, knowing full well what she was asking.
"How did you heal your wound without casting any spell?" Elmesia asked.
Lucas shrugged and said, "who knows."
"You!" Elmesia became annoyed as she heard that. She was going to hit him but she controlled herself as doing so would only result in Lucas turning the situation over and causing more problems for her.
Elmesia, instead of using brute force, racked her brain and thought of something to get Lucas to speak. She suddenly remembered that Lucas worked well if there were deals.
She looked at him and said, "what would you need in exchange for answering me about that?"
Lucas raised an eyebrow in surprise. Since when did this lady in front of him become so smart as to understand what negotiations were?
Looking at Lucas's expression, Elmesia could tell what he was thinking of. She knitted her brows and said, "I was always smart. It's you who annoyed me so much that I wasn't able to think straight."
Lucas ignored her words and said, "I won't answer you that. It's a trade secret."
Elmesia frowned. But she still said, "state the price. There's no such thing as a secret that can't be brought."
Lucas smiled hearing that. So the lady in front was indeed not that stupid.
"I'll not teach you how to heal wounds but I can only teach you a small mechanism of how I was able to heal my wounds. You'll pay me ten gold coins for it… and also, you won't ask me about any such secrets anymore. This will be the first and the last time."
Emilia frowned again. This was such a bad deal! But she knew Lucas would choose to not tell her at all if she negotiated too much.
She looked at him and said, "ten gold coins and you'll teach me the whole mechanism. I'll not ask you for your secrets anymore as well."
Lucas thought about it for a few seconds. He didn't want to reveal to her his secrets but well, this healing thing wasn't too big and he would immediately get ten gold coins as well.
He smiled and said to her, "deal."
