From the way Clara greeted the kiss, Samuel knew that the girl still didn't know how to kiss.

"You don't even know how to kiss properly," complained Samuel as he walked away in annoyance. "Are you sure you want to continue this?"

Clara fell silent. She nodded slowly. "Su—sure."

"Ah, that's right! You don't know what you're getting into. The first time is painful," Samuel objected. "I can't bear to do it with a virgin. Your painful expression will haunt me every night. I will never sleep well after tonight."

"Please! Teach me how to do it properly," pleaded Clara. She pulled Samuel's hand who was about to move away from him.

"Why do you want to make love to me so badly?" asked Samuel curiously. "I already gave you a warning. Even for the second time."

Clara stopped pleading. She then sat on the edge of the bed. "I'm going to be betrothed to a man six years older than me. It was a marriage of convenience," Clara whispered.
