The classroom slowly started to get crowded as students hurried into their classrooms. "How many minutes till class starts Rea?" Abby asked. "10 seconds." Treasure replied. "Well now we're late." Abby said. "Why are they following us?" Gina asked staring into the mirror she held in her hand. "Maybe we're in the same class?" Tia asked. "Hmm" hummed Regina. "Montez!!!" a few students who were familiar with them screamed once they entered the class. "Welcome back." Catherine, the class captain greeted Regina bowing slightly. A small smile that was barely visible appeared on Gina's lips. "Thanks Catty" Abby said with a broad smile.
"Settle down class!" a masculine voice exclaimed. "Ohhhh,... if it isn't the Montez girls. What a lovely surprise." the teacher named Mr Paul said as both girls had their seats. "I won't lie,... I missed you." "Awww,... we missed you too." Abby said blowing the teacher a kiss. "Speak for yourself." Regina said. "By the way Paul, we have new students." Abigail said nudging her chin in the direction of the door and ignoring her sister's words. "Okay, welcome. My name is Paul O'Bryan and I'm your English teacher. Now please introduce yourselves to the class."
The first boy with brown eyes and neatly combed hair said, "My name is Andre McDonald." "HA! And I'm Ariana Grande! Since when did Andre McDonald have brown eyes?" asked Morgana, a mean rich brat. "Andre looked like he was about to say something when he was held back by his twin brother whose hair was messy. Fixing the gaze of his brown eyes on the class, the other boy said, "Hello everyone, my name is Andrew McDonald and it's an honor being here today."
"Okay, boys have your seat behind the Montez girls." came the instruction from Paul which led to Gina coughing. Her gaze turned sharp as she stared at the teacher for a few seconds. "No? Ok, Jude and Bruce move the Montez girls to the back and place the new seats in their stead." After a few minutes of noisy chairs, the whole room fell silent as everyone had their seats. "Students today, you'll be learning how to write a report." said Mr Paul as the lesson began. After English was Maths. "Settle down!" the teacher shouted dropping her tablet on the desk.
"Good morning Ms Zeta." the whole class greeted. "Good morning. I see we have new students. Tell me what are your names?" asked Zeta. "I'm Andre McDonald and this is my younger brother Andrew." "We're the same age." Andrew deadpanned. "Sure we're." laughed Andre. "I'm Zeta O'Bryan. I'm sure you've met my husband." the teacher said.
"Ms Zeta please I'll do anything for you to dump that man. I can take better care of you than he ever will." said one of the male students in the back. "Really? Your 17 and graduating in a few months yet you want to marry me? How? By the way, I already have a child." Ms Zeta said making some kids laugh. "Alright, back to the lesson. I have a project for you to be submitted next week. Here are your partners." Zeta said tapping on the tablet.
Zeta said, "So it's gonna be Valerie Moore and Catherine Bliss, Tia Anderson and Bruce O'Bryan, Jude Quinn and Antonia Johnson, Anthony Johnson and Treasure Anderson, Simon Reign and Victor Davis, Chloe Butterfield and Luca Lynch, Tony Vern and Morgana Fiasco, Tim Vern and Layla Fiasco, Andre McDonald and Abigail Montez and lastly Andrew McDonald and Regina Montez. I hope that's understood." "Yes Ms Zeta." most of the students chorused.
"That's all for the day." Zeta said before the bell went off. All the students began filing out of the class and into the hallway. "What will you have for lunch?" Abby asked opening her locker. "Choose something nice for me." came Gina's reply before slamming the locker shut. "I'll be back." she said before disappearing into the crowd. "Chinese rise it is." Abby said to herself shutting the locker gently.
Making her way to the cafeteria, Abigail bumped into someone and spilled juice all over the person. "I'm so so-" She paused realizing who it was she hit. "Oh,... I take back my words." Abby said folding her arms against her chest. "Now that I think about it,... it must have been you who bumped into me." said Abigail. "What nonsense are you blabbing here? YOU clearly hit me and destroyed my outfit!" Layla whined flipping her brown hair behind her.
"I'm happy your outfit looks bad. Now what I want to know is why you try and keep up with me." said Abby looking at Layla who wore an annoyed expression on her face. "What rubbish are you talking? You are obviously the one copying me. Look you're even dressed up like me!" Layla exclaimed. "Actually, no..." Layla said making Abby raise her brow.
"...You're nothing like me! My clothes are original and classy but yours,... they're fake and trashy. Where did you find them? The gutters?!" laughed Layla. Abigail laughed, patted Layla's shoulder and said, "Try as much as possible to stop describing me as you." Abby's words were to the hearing of every single person in the cafeteria.
Layla's face flushed red in embarrassment then she shouted, "You're the one who lives in a bakery!" "Since you live in a bakery and the possibility of you paying for that dress is low, then you better apologize and not get yourself into financial difficulties." said a voice from behind Abigail. Turning around, her eyes met with Andre McDonald's green eyes.
Few minutes ago
"Dude, what exactly are you trying to do?" asked Andrew watching his brother remove the contact lenses he wore. "Didn't you hear how that girl mocked me because of these stupid lenses!" exclaimed Andre throwing the lenses on the ground and stamping on them. "I thought we agreed on keeping a low profile?" Andrew asked. "To hell with a 'low profile'. I'm not going to be mocked because of fake eyes." "Suit yourself." "And take that off. I can't have you around me looking like,...THAT." Andre said. Reluctantly, Andrew removed the lenses.
Back in the cafeteria
Abigail examined the boy before her closely. "So you really are Andre McDonald. When Morgana spoke up, I thought you were a fake but you're the real deal. I must say I was a big fan of you, until I found out you put your nose where it doesn't belong." Abby said. "I was just offering to help you, which I never do bu-"
"Who said I needed your help?" questioned Abigail. "I risked a lot advising you! I could have gotten sick! By the way, I'm allergic to paupers." Andre said. "Well that's a lie considering you were considered one two periods ago." smiled Abigail.
Andre was about to fight back when Abby's attention was shifted to her sister who called her. "Where's my food?" Gina asked. "I would have gotten it if these two didn't start wasting my time." Regina's gaze moved to look at Layla, who already started to back away. "Ignore her." came the blunt words from Regina. "If you need to be educated, interrupting a conversation is rude." Andre said to Regina. Regina's gaze slowly moved to meet the eyes of the boy standing behind her sister. Just as Andre was about to speak, Gina asked, "Who are you?" Andre's mouth hung slightly open in shock, hearing a question he never expected to hear in his lifetime. "Oh wait, I remember you." Regina said and Andre's expression was quick to change into one of utmost pride. But his expression returned to one of shock as he heard the girl say, "You're one of the new students,... am I right?"
