Interrogation......Failed!!!

As the two vampires stared down at the supposed 'slayer' they couldn't help but frown. He was looking at the duo in disgust, like he couldn't tolerate the existence of them. In other words, he was a whit–COUGH– racist!

As they were silent, one of them needed to break it, to get this thing rolling. So, Marcellus decided to be the one to do it.

"So, how do we interrogate him?" asked Marcellus as he looked at Alica, he'd never done something like this before.

"..You think I know, I've never done something like this before" replied Alicia in a frozen tone and without even looking at Marcellus.

"Are you okay?" asked Marcellus after hearing Alica.

He hadn't ever heard her being so cold, did something happen? Also, he didn't think Alica had done something like this either. However, he was just helping her, meaning she made the rules right now.

"..." Alica just looked at him with the same expressionless face. Then looked back at the man.

Marcellus, taking the hint, just nodded slightly and gave a suggestion.

"Let's try compulsion?" Seeing Alicia nod, he walked closer to the man and looked him in the eyes.

"Answer me truthfully, why are you targeting Alicia, what do you know about her? Who sent you after her? Are there more coming?" asked Marcellus after using 'mind Compulsion'.

"I ain't telling you sh*t, bloodsucker" spat the man in disdain as he snorted.

Marcellus was extremely surprised when he heard that because he was sure he did it right.

Marcellus then looked at Alicia with question marks visible above his head, hoping she would know the answer.

"He might have vervain on him, or ingested in his system. For humans, it can prevent compulsion and make their blood toxic" explained Alicia as she frowned at the thought that she might have to torture and kill this human.

Alicia isn't bothered by the fact that she might have to kill him as she had done it before. One mustn't forget that she was born a vampire. Taught to treat humans as food, friends, and because of her noble status, lesser.

She is very kind, but if it was for survival, she wouldn't hesitate to kill. No, the reason she is hesitant is that this guy has information that she needs. Also, although she has killed for food, she has never killed for pleasure or anything other than immediate life or death.

A very kind soul indeed.

She is also upset because she knows Marcellus doesn't understand that yet. He was human, making him believe killing people is wrong no matter what. If she killed this man, would she lose her first friend?

She was snapped out of her thoughts as she heard Marcellus ask another question,"How do we get rid of the vervain then?" asked Marcellus with a frown.

Alicia just stood dumbstruck. Why hadn't she thought of that? But how…? After thinking for a bit she came up with a solution.

"We just check his body to see if he has any on him and then take it. And if he has ingested it, we simply keep him here and unfed until it passes through his system" said Alicia as she walked up to the man and started searching his body. He struggled but Alicia just held him.

"Not on him, so he must have ingested it, guess we need to decide shifts" sighed Alicia as she got back up after slamming the man on the ground hard enough to knock him unconscious.

"I'll take the first one" offered Marcellus.

"Fine, I'll go make sure nobody gets suspicious about our whereabouts, don't text or call anyone" ordered Alicia with a serious expression.

At first Marcellus was confused but soon understood. Leading him to reply, "Okay, but bring food and tell Arthur the truth please" Asked Marcellus in a knowing tone.

Alicia didn't like Arthur. Not because he was a bad person but because she felt like he knew too much for a human. She thought that if he saw the downsides of being a vampire that he would abandon Marcellus.

However, accepting that he was Marcellus' best friend, she tried her best to get along with him. While she still didn't like the fact he knew about vampires, it wasn't hard to get along with him. Arthurs so nice and cool, who wouldn't be able to get along with him?

So, hearing Marcellus' request, she reluctantly nodded her head and left. While Marcellus started scrolling through his phone to pass the time by.

A few hours later, she came back and told Marcellus that she told Arthur and gave him a 'slushie'. He drank it then left as it was Alicia's turn to guard the man.

The man woke up during Alicia's turn but didn't do anything because of Alicia's threat.

"You don't struggle, you stay awake. You struggle and the author will have to call you the unconscious man for the rest of the week" threatened Alicia as she stood next to the man.

'Author?' the man thought in confusion, however he stopped all plans of escape after he heard what she said next.

"I'm not as nice and naive as my partner. If you struggle, you die. If you sit like a good boy we will erase your memories and send you on your way" said Alicia as she sat back down. However, she didn't really care if the man took her seriously or not. It's not really her problem is it?

Four days passed and both Marcellus and Alicia were present to try to interrogate the man again. However, this time Alicia tried to use 'mind compulsion' on the man instead of Marcellus.

"Open your mouth and close it four times then leave it hanging open" ordered Alicia as she tested to see if it would work.

The man then followed Alicia's order to the letter! It worked!

"Hahaha, Lets try again" laughed Marcellus in relief. It was truly getting tiring to keep coming here to watch the man after all.
