The weekend was here before you knew it and it was coming down to crunch time. There had been a lot of movement in the last few days and everyone was on high alert. Stephanie’s court date was this Monday and she was having a hard time of it. I was hoping the party at Jake’s would go a long way to settling her down some. I wanted her to have as normal a time as possible before she was thrown into the bowels of hell in the next couple days.
I had a lot on my plate that I was juggling. There were other things going on that needed our attention at the moment, some of it too close for comfort. I had a neighborhood under siege by the criminal element that the cops couldn’t seem to get a handle on. One of the residents had put a bug in one of the crewmembers’ ear and we’d had a meet.
