Chapter 13

Jeong Seo Joon looked confused at the suddenly zoned-out woman beside him. Was he harsh? He didn't even raise his voice. Did he say something wrong? He turned around for help, but both his children were fast asleep.

He parked the car and decided to ask her if he did something wrong. But just as he opened his mouth, she hurriedly jumped out of the car and ran inside the house, instructing the guard she found on the way to bring the children in.

The sound of her name in his mouth was not the only reason for her to zone out, out of nowhere. In the few seconds after Jeong Seo Joon finished talking, she felt something on her lower body. Shit! She totally forgot about her period with all the things that were currently happening. They should reach the house as soon as possible to save her from embarrassment. That was the only thought she had until the moment Jeong Seo Joon parked the car, and she didn't waste any seconds jumping out of it.

Was not knowing that she was the reason for someone's sleep loss that night her mistake? She was in a dangerous situation, so it was not right to blame her, no?

Go A Yeong had trouble waking up the next day. The second days were the most painful for her, and she refused to do anything on that day, but not going to the office for a first-ever meeting as a Moonlight Agency's artist didn't sound right to her.

Jeong Seo Joon had already left, so she kissed her sleeping children goodbye and went to the garage to pick a car. Jeong Seo Joon gave her permission to pick whatever she liked, but she didn't want anyone to suspect her of having a sugar daddy. She didn't know much about cars, so she picked one that looked a little cheap compared to the other cars there.

Go A Yeong took a look around the office and was amazed by the surrounding. She pinched herself from time to time, reminding her that it wasn't a dream. A woman dressed in a black shirt and a white pencil skirt approached her and introduced herself. "Hello, Miss. Go A Yeong. I'm Song Ae Ra, your manager.".

Go A Yeong bowed to her, showing her respect. "There's no need for all of this. Focus on your work and avoid getting into trouble. That is all I require of you, Miss Go A Yeong.". "You can simply address me as Go A Yeong.". Song Ae Ra considered it and nodded her head. "Sure. We are of the same age, so you can be informal with me too.".

They entered a discussion room, and Song Ae Ra started to explain the company policies to her. The meeting went on for an hour, and it was already time for lunch by the time the meeting ended. "Read those scripts properly and tell me your decision by this Wednesday. You can either come to the office or call me.".

Go A Yeong gave a nod. "I have another meeting, so I should get going. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Go A Yeong.". "The feeling's mutual. Let's get along well in the future.".

On her way out, Go A Yeong was stopped by a man. He passed two big boxes to her, each filled with tons of files. "Bring this to the ninth floor. I'm late for my lunch.". Before she could explain herself, the man hurried away from there.
