Intermission part 4

"So do you want to say anything to the humans of the planet Earth?"-Laxy

"I wasn't expecting this"-Jack

"Oh, it's fine. we can move on if you want"-Laxy

"No...um I will try my best and make sure I survive for myself and humanity"-Jack

"Well, I'm sure they are routing for you to"-Laxy

"Now on to the next question, which is do you think you deserve to win?"-Laxy

"Excuse me?" -Jack

"Well, we mean no disrespect, but the candidates are from all over your planet with different personalities and experiences, so why should you win?"-Laxy

Jack had to quickly think because he had no great cause or reason for wanting to win, and he didn't want to be a hero or a villain he just wanted to survive.

"I..am, normal guy who just wants to survive and use the situation I have been given to my advantage to improve my life if possible."-Jack

"Well, I must say we all thought you would have some grand reason"-Laxy

"Why I'm just a person who was taken by aliens randomly and even if I did have some grand reason

it probably wouldn't last long in the game or after it"-Jack

"Well, I think we have all managed to have a closer look at each of the candidates and will now move on to the group interview"-Laxy

"We'll see you after the break"-Laxy

Once she was finished with the outro for the show, she then walked toward Jack as he stood up from the chair, but even then, she was taller than him.

Jack wasn't some ultra man-machine he was normally at 5'6 he wasn't tall, but he wasn't short either while laxy was 6'2, so he had to look up a bit.

Laxy shook his hand as she gave him the usual presenter smile with hers just being slightly scarier with the snakes for hair.

"Well done jack it was a pleasure interviewing you. I hope you do well in the game"-Laxy

"Did that go well? I was kinda weird, and I'm sure you're not meant to show favouritism, aren't you?"-Jack

"Well, I say good luck to everyone, and the other candidates were the same as you, just that some

of them were more...complicated during the interview"-Laxy

"Ah well, thanks. I guess it was a pleasure talking to such a...charming host"-Jack

"Truly, that means so much. I mean, you humans seem freaked out about my hair. I mean, what's the big deal? "-Laxy

"I'm sure we will get used to it in time"-Jack

"Yea, I heard you guys had some type of scary woman in your history that looked like us, so maybe one of

my kind crashed onto earth thousands of years ago"-Laxy

"Seriously?"-Jack

"Yea, it happens, but anyway, someone will escort you to the resting area where the other candidates

are and we have prepared some food from your planet"-Laxy

"You will break for a few minutes while we get set up for the next interview, and then we will start interviewing you all, okay?"-Laxy

"Sure, I got it"-Jack

Jack then was escorted back to the area he was in before with the other candidates and saw them all eating from a table that had human food.

Jack could see they were happy to eat normal food again, and as for what happened to the food, you don't need to worry about it.

Most of the candidates stayed to themselves more focused on eating or trying to calm themselves down, but it was obvious they were all looking at each other more.

Jack tried to stay away from everyone since he felt that the coming interview would get heated with some of the people around him.

Would either be killed by another or by him, and in the same way, round one of the candidates could kill him, so he felt the group interview would be the start.

Of the future conflicts and alliances as everyone would be able to see and understand each other more and pick a target and go for the kill.

Jack was trying to think of ways to make sure he looked strong but not arrogant and smart but not a genius, and the reason for this was quite simple.

If two guys are fighting and see one more join in who knows boxing, they will be much more likely to team up against the stronger person.

And the typical nail that sticks out shtick so Jack realized something which made him chuckle a bit, making others wonder what was so funny.

"I just need to be myself I don't need to pretend to be smarter or stronger than I am as long as I'm in the middle I'll do fine as others go for those at the top and bottom"-Jack

He was thinking this but also realized that Evaline was looking at him now and then so he could tell his plan wasn't off to a great start. But there was one good thing about Evaline being his enemy.

He knew what place and type of race she had, and it was unlikely they could survive on land and if they could only be for a certain time and would be weakened a lot because of it.

Also, as his rixis were now spread out and in different biomes such as the desert and mountains, I didn't feel any fear toward her races until later in the game.

"I've also got to think I don't want to make an enemy and find out they are right next to me but also just as bad is if they are far away"-Jack

"If they are close and stronger, then I'm in trouble, and if they are weaker but further away, they have time to get stronger and have the advantage of knowing the surrounding terrain"-Jack

Thank God Jack wasn't saying this out loud or he would be targeted by everyone as Jack was doing and thinking more in the future than they were.

Most still, we weren't sure if they made a good race or were not still worried about meeting the other candidates, but they couldn't show it.
