Chapter Thirty-Three: A Cut Above the Rest

Evelyn:

Heading back to the table, random vampires fawned over us. Smiling warmly at them, I carried the conversation with ease. A distant look dimmed my eyes, this weekend was about Grappy and Bloodsworth. Playing with my food, Grappy wrapped around his arms around my shoulder, his chin resting on the top of my head. A sensation of peace washed over me, his presence relaxing me further. The death glare from Grappy sent them away, his sleeve tickling my face.

"I appreciate you just going along with everything. I am sorry about your hair. You must have loved the col-" He began sweetly, my hand raising. Flashing him my real smile, none of that mattered. In a sense I had felt free, the burden of my past a little less harder to bear. Cupping his hands, the twinkle in his eyes told me that this was the happiest he had ever been. Stealing me away from the party, his arm wrapped around my waist. Flying out the window, we landed gracefully on the roof. Motioning for me to sit, the two of us watched the party from a high point. Passing me an iced ginger tea, the ice clinked to the bottom. Condensation dripped down the side of the cup, his own hand nursing a cup of red wine. Fright lay beneath his kind eyes, a hiccup escaping his trembling lips.

"Are you scared about being accepted?" I queried softly, gazing up at the diamonds in the sky. "Or are you scared of being happy for once? I am scared to relax, often wondering if the next hour will bring me more pain if I let go of my anxiety." Resting his head on my shoulder, the quiet was a warm embrace for the two of us. Black bags hollowed out his eyes, his gentle snores echoing in my ear. Staying still, a gentle chuckle tumbled from my lips as I took his glass of wine. A drunken fever burned his cheeks, tossing him over my shoulder. Swinging into the resort, a seven foot vampire in a navy velvet tuxedo charged at us. A stunned look dawned on his face, the red wine staining his white shirt. Raising his growing claws near my face, my heel slammed into his chest. Crashing into the black marble wall of the hallway, he struggled to his feet. Tucking his hands into his pocket, a rival symbol glowed on his neck. Horror widened my eyes, his hand running through his shaggy blond hair. Red eyes glittered with excitement, setting Grappy down. Charging at me, a silver blade spun in his palm. Several masked figures gathered behind him, the wine drugged with the equivalent of Melatonin for an angel. Cursing to myself, my feet bounced off the walls. Screams erupted, my feet pounding back towards the party. A shocked cry burst from my lips, a silver blade quivering in my shoulder. Ignoring the burning sensation in my palm, my own blood splattered across my face as I ripped it out.

"Miss Evelyn, you don't disappoint." A cold male voice taunted cruelly, my hand tossing the silver blade aside. "You are stronger than you look. You are still weak without your bodyguard." Cold sweat dripped off my brow, my hand cupping my shoulder. He wasn't wrong, the energy field around the resort prevented any of my magic from working. The silver pumped through my veins, my vision blurring. Shifting around my boot, a silver antidote spun in my palm. Ripping off the cover, electrical pain jolted my body the moment I jammed the needle into my neck. Glass shattered on the floor, the empty needle crashing to my feet. There was no way these assholes would ruin my best friend's wedding, my direction changing towards the kitchen. The party went on as if nothing was happening, this was the way it needed to be. Kicking everyone out of the kitchen, my fingers wrapped around a silver pizza cutter. Climbing to the top of the humming silver fridges, my body trembled with a burning agony. Flipping off the top, black blood sprayed all over my face as several vampires fell prey to the pizza cutter in my hand. Small lines of blood dripped down their throats, the pizza cutter clattering to the ground.

"I refuse to let you fucking monster's ruin my best friend's wedding!" I shouted shrilly, pulling out an ancient vampire's dagger from my boots. "I have the last remaining blade that is able to kill you with one strike. Dead man's blood courses through this dagger, the very thing that is poison to your kind. Come at me with your finest silver, you fucking fools!" The wicked grin on my lips grew wider, my fingers wrapping around a steel tray. Several silver bullets indented the tray, my bad arm dangling limply. Holding the tray in my teeth, my feet crashed towards them. My speed proved unaffected, the wolf in me roaring to life. Using the dagger did come at a cost though, my left eye going red. The lot of them were blue blobs in a thermal camera view, the blood splattering the white black splash with each strike. Dodging every speck of silver, the vampires decayed to ash at my feet. Only the gang leader remained, cuts lining my arms. Cocking his gun in my direction, the trigger refused to move. Throwing the gun to the side, a wicked grin met mine. This eye was destroying my mind, my left kidney bursting. Coughing up blood, more of it poured from my nose. If this kept up, I was going to drain myself without his help.

"It appears we are going to have to fight the fun way." He gloated gleefully, evil laughter erupting from his lips. "Let's play, Miss Evelyn." Unable to move, his shadow linked mine. The red doors flew from their hinges, Grappy popping up behind me. Knocking me from the ground, the vampire blade broke under his heel. However my left eye remained red, the curse doomed to burn in my eye until my death. Raising his blade to the attack position, fresh vampire blood covered him from head to toe. Only his red glowing eyes stood out in the sea of blood, dark energy curled off of his back. Grinning wickedly, a much deeper voice thundered from his throat.

"You dare hurt my master!" He thundered snidely, watching the vampire tremble in front of him. "You will pay for your sins! Awaken dark angel powers! I have my master to protect! " His blade doubled in size, black feathers snowing around us. The ground shook, a mixer crashing onto my leg. The bone shattered instantly, my leg pinned down. The energy swelled around him, the two of them black flashes. My bad arm was the only one available, dooming me to my spot. Pausing for a moment above me, Grappy dropped a black velvet tablecloth over me.

"Any orders, master!" He growled hungrily, still fresh from the fight. "I will do anything." Quiet rage simmered in my eyes, the next order coming a little too easily. Gripping the velvet with each wave of pain, he deserved death. No other punishment would do, a deep growl rumbling in my throat.

"Kill him!" I uttered simply collapsing into a heap. Cold air lashed my cheeks, my vampire eye screaming out in agony as a bright light flooded through the thick velvet material. The light died down, Grappy scooping me up. Peeking out from the blanket, a terrified Bloodsworth blocked the doorway. Nothing remained of the kitchen, Grappy brushing past him. Chasing after us, blue rose cuff links shimmered in his palms. His face fell at the sight of my one red eye, guilt gnawing at him. Carrying me to the natural springs, black blood muddied the healing waters. Floating me on the surface, a steady stream of curse words flooded from my lips as bones and muscles became one once more. The blood floated off of our body, changing into a sea of white lily petals drifting aimlessly around the sterile white spa room. Splashing down next to me, Grappy returned to his normal self, regret dimming his eyes.

"You now have a vampire eye because of me. I failed you as your guardian. I accept your punishment." He blubbered uncontrollably, clutching me close to his chest. "Hudson is going to k-" Hudson stood in the doorway, his fuming face even making me want to run. Ripping me out of the water, he tossed me over his shoulders. Embarrassment burned my cheeks at the destroyed halls, the electronic card letting us into our suite. Hiding my red eye with my hair, his strong arms clutched me close to his chest. His heart was beating a mile a minute, the bright lights irritating my eyes. Moving my hair, my first instinct was to cower in his fuming fury. Surprise widened my eyes, his lips kissing the top of my head.

"I am just happy you are alive." He comforted me gently, examining my left eye closer. "This isn't a vampire eye, but a death eye. You can see people's lifespan if you ask it to. The dagger you used was made from actual reaper's bones. The light will only hurt temporarily, so be patient. In fact you can use this to your advantage." Unsure what to do with that information, the image of Grappy in his dark angel form caused me to shiver. Only his red eyes could be seen, the wicked grin and disregard for lives other than mine a bit of a shock. Pinning me against the bed, the reaper's dagger sat on the nightstand. Crashing to the floor, Grappy's boots had crushed it. Crashing into the hall, Hudson pounded after me. My wet hair clung to my face, Grappy turning around the corner. Smashing into his soaking wet body, surprise widened his eyes. Embracing him warmly, he rested his chin on my head.

"Thank you so much for saving me today. I love you so much." I proclaimed warmly, feeling wet tears soak the top of my head. "You are like the brother I never got to have. Don't you ever scare me like that again. I can't live without you in my life." Ruffling the top of my head, his finger lifted up my chin. Sticking out his tongue, my brow cocked. Theros peeked his head around the corner, death glares passing between the two of them. Feeling a bit like a toy that had been given to two brothers, his grip only grew stronger.

"I promise to watch you your whole life." He shouted loud enough for Theros to hear, a tender blush rising to my cheeks. "You really are like a little sister to me." Begging Hudson with my eyes, he peeled me from Grappy's arms. Tossing me over his shoulder, Theros and Grappy watched with puppy-like dismay in their eyes. Kissing the top of my hand, he pinned me to the bed. Brushing his lips against the nape of my neck, his strong hands peeled off the dress I was wearing. Ripping off his suit, he locked the door real quick. Sliding me further up the black silk sheets, his broad chest pressed against my ample breasts. My thighs rubbed together, his big hand tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. Grinning devilishly, his head stopped in between my legs. Waves of ecstasy crashed over me, his lips sucking on my swollen clit. Sliding in his fingers inside of me, his fingertips danced around my g-spot. Twitching with each suck, my hand grabbed his hair. Flicking his tongue faster, the rhythms syncing with each other. Lustful gasps escaped my lips, the pleasure almost getting to be too much.

"Stop it." I whined softly, biting my lips. "That feels so good. I am going to cum if you don't stop." My dripping turned to a flood, his fangs bit his lips. Flipping him over me, my tongue licked him all the way to his thick cock. Wrapping my sweet lips around him, the sucking making him scream out my name. Taking him all the way down my throat, my tongue flickered underneath his tip. Jerking with pleasure, his fingers buried themselves into my hair. Sucking faster, gruff groans poured from his lips.

"Careful, Evie." He moaned huskily, my brow cocking. "I am about to lose control if you don't slow down." Licking his length, the mattress creaked as I crawled on top of him. Sinking down on top of him, my walls hugged his thick girth. Riding up and down, his big hands squeezed my breasts roughly. Pale tissue oozed from in between his fingers, his free arm wrapping around my waist. Sucking my nipples, his name exploded from my trembling lips. Goosebumps popped up, his sucking getting harder. Biting my lips, his loving eyes stared hungrily up at me. A strange popping noise echoed in the room, white wolf ears appeared on my head. A tail wagged behind me, my red eye stinging a bit too much for my liking. A tender blush rose to my cheeks, his brow twitched.

"Can you take me, master?" I pleaded cutely, hopping off of him. "Don't you like the view?" Coming up behind me, he jammed himself into me. Yanking on my tail, a new level of ecstasy shot through me. Every pull made me cry out his name, his hips bucking wildly. Grinding against his hips, both of us only grew louder. My fingers grasped the sheets, his hands cupping my bump. Sitting down on his haunches, his hand slid down to my hips. My ears flattened, his strong arms lifting me up and down. Lustful gasps burst from my lips, our hips dancing to the same song. Leaning back into his neck, my fangs brushed his neck. Goosebumps dotted my skin, his fangs tracing the nape of my neck. Breaking each other's skin at the same time, we melted into each other's arms. Pinning me to the bed, his strong hand held me down. Sliding his hands up my thighs, he slid my ankles onto his shoulders. My trembling hand shoved him in, his erratic rhythm sending my nerves into a frenzy. Screaming louder with each thrust, the steel bed frame squeaking. Lowering my legs, he clutched me close to his chest. Wrapping my legs around his waist, his lips kissed me hungrily. Refusing to let go, our tongues danced in each other's mouths. Our hips ground to the same rhythm, the two of us getting closer to our climax. Tracing his fangs along my skin, biting me all over. His love bites only made our hips move rougher. Unable to contain ourselves any longer, we both screamed as he filled me with his hot seed. Collapsing next to me, his strong arm pulling me on top of his chest. Blood dripped from his bites, his fingers playing with my ears. A rosy tint burned my cheeks, dread bubbling in my stomach. Of all weekends, my ears and tails decided to pop up.

"Kind of a shitty weekend for this to happen." Hudson joked sensually, stroking my tail. "At least it will be fun." Rolling my eyes, this was going to be awkward. A shrill alarm burst from my phone, shattering the still air. Flying off the bed, it was Grappy's tuxedo fitting. Hudson watched with a wicked grin, my trembling fingers clasping on my scarlet lace bra. The soft wool of the scarlet sweater dress felt nice against my skin, the deep v-neck exposing my cleavage. Wrapping his arm around my waist, he stroked my tail slowly. Shivers of pleasure shook my body, his black jeans rubbing against my bare legs. Grappy popped his head in, his eyes narrowing. My jaw dropped to the ground, his cut hair looking impeccable. A wild mop of black hair hung over his eyes, sharp words waiting on the tip of his tongue.

"Would it kill you not to bite your wife right before a ceremony?" He demanded hotly, waving his hands around. "You two will be the ones standing next to me. Now I have to change your outfit." My eyebrows twitched, the corner of my lip quivering. Clenching my fists, my bedroom activities were none of his business. Taking a deep breath, Theros popped his head in as well. A wide grin brightened his face, Theros rushing over to play with my ears and tail. Embracing me tightly, Grappy snatched my free arm. Ripping me in either direction, my temper flared up.

"You only cut your hair because it looked like Theros, and Theros you have seen my ears and tails before." I threatened icily, both of them backing off. "Let's all go get our outfits. By the fucking way, a sister can have two brothers. Hudson, can you carry me since people can't seem to share." Placing me on his back, Theros and Grappy sulked in front of us. Following them down the hall to a dressing room, Bloodsworth rolled out a cart of sparkling clothes.

"Do you like his hair?" He asked dutifully, ruffling Grappy's hair. "I felt like he needed a change. I personally think it fits his personality a lot better. So these are your guys' options. God damn it! Did you have to bite her?" Evil laughter erupted from Hudson's lips, all four of them watching me as I hopped off of his back. Scanning the wrack, my finger settled on a scarlet number. Taking it into the simple oak dressing room, a sudden sadness poisoned my mood. Peeling off my dress, the ruby covered ball gown hugged my top, the simple silk bottom cascading over my bump. Stepping out of the dressing room, gasps of wonder erupted around me. The room spun, my red eye glitching. Crashing to the ground, a bout of nausea wracked my body. A reaper hung in the corner, the dagger in his hand. His black robes fluttered around him, his yellowed bony hand tossing me the dagger.

"That must never leave your side, or you will get very sick." The icy male voice warned darkly, cupping my hands. "It clouds when your inner circle will die. Upon death, you will become a reaper. Don't worry, you will still go back home to your family in Heaven at the end of the day. Little werewolf girl, remember the dagger found you. I look forward to working with you." Cold sweat dripped off of my brow, my quaking fingers placing the blade into my boots. Silent tears streamed down my cheeks, all of my friends shaking my shoulder. Collapsing into a heap, sweet slumber took me into her gentle embrace.
