2.2 Confessional

A-Xuan sat all the way back to the couch and crossed his legs. He took a deep breath and lifted his head, gold eyes looked straight at the camera. His eyes were sparkling with unshed tears.

The youth looking at the camera was beautiful, he had almond-shaped eyes and bristly eyebrows. He seemed to have a devil-may-care outlook, but at this moment his golden eyes sparkled with sadness and disappointment.

His aura was that of an exhausted man, and seeing him anyone would feel the need to hold him in their arms.

A-Xuan blinked and tears ran down his face. He said, "I'm really tired, I've been tired for a while now but I can't rest. I promised my father on his deathbed that I would make him proud. I did for a little while at least."

The netizens watching:

@Heirlover: Oh my god, what is going on? Why does A-Xuan seem so pitiful?

@Yourstruly: I know, right? I genuinely feel pain for him and I never thought I would sympathize with him.

@Frenchlover: He's probably crying because he knows the whole world hates him for being a terrible person. If you act terribly, you need to assume everything that comes after.

@Yawenisthebest: I know, right? I mean you all heard Yawen telling the truth about who he is.

@Aboveyou: Right now the whole world knows his true face, he can only cry.

@Margot: No, this time he truly looks different, I mean you can feel it.

@Artlover: He indeed seems a bit different, let's just keep watching.

Confessional Room:

A-Xuan was overwhelmed, and it seemed like he couldn't speak. After taking a few deep breaths and wiping his tears, he said, "Yawen was my friend, I considered him my second best friend, the first was my father. I was homeschooled by him, he couldn't bear the thought of having me out of his sight for too long."

At that, A-Xuan smiled like he remembered a beautiful memory.

After a while, his eyes turned sad again.

"My mother died in childbirth, so I was all he had, and he was all I had. I met Yawen when Nie Tencent and Zhu Corporation became partners. We became friends and were always together. When I turned 15, my father passed away, and that's when Zhu Zhanjie invited me to stay at his house instead of being alone in a big house. I foolishly agreed, and everything went fine until I turned 17. We went out for my birthday, and we came back early and caught Zhu Zhanjie cheating on his wife. He made us swear we wouldn't say a word. Two days after that, the news of his adultery was made public. Father and son immediately thought I was responsible. Why would I do something that would make me lose the only family I had left?"

At that, A-Xuan's tears kept falling and never seemed to stop. After a while, he said:

"They tossed me out of Zhu's mansion and severed the partnership between the two companies. I was back home alone again. I felt miserable being alone in this house without my best friend, so I focused all my energy on fulfilling the promise that I made to him. I succeeded but there were people who couldn't accept that and decided to destroy all my hard work. Lying, spreading rumors, and suppressing me in every way."

A-Xuan wiped his tears again and said:

"I came here so I can win and fulfill the promise I made to my dad, but it wasn't enough for Yawen to destroy my life outside, he also had to do it here."

A-Xuan laughed as tears kept raining down his face. His laugh was the kind a person who gave up and had no more strength to fight would have.

He wiped his tears and smiled sadly, saying:

"Sorry, I don't know why I'm saying all of this now. I know it's not going to change anything. I've been keeping everything in for a long time and like I said, my best friend passed away so I have no one to talk to. Since I know that no one is going to watch this, it makes it easier for me to let everything out."

A-Xuan got up and went to the door. He bowed his head and seemed to take a deep breath before going out. "This should be enough to clear my reputation," he thought. He walked directly to the dormitory. He lay in his bed and put the cover over his head.

The Netizens watching:

@Thetemptress: Oh my god no A-Xuan you're not alone, I'm here.

@Sonia: Yeah, we're all here, don't cry anymore.

@Kalel: I feel so heartbroken for him, Yawen dared to say that his father raised him when that's not even true. You could feel the love he had for his father when he talked about how he raised him.

@Jakey: I know, right? I mean there are a lot of things that Yawen said that don't add up.

@Shoppaholic: Just because he cried and made a sad speech doesn't mean he's telling the truth.

@Besmart: If it was the truth, why didn't he come forward before? Why wait until he was in a TV reality show, huh?

@Ginnie: His timing is indeed suspect.

A-Xuan read the comments on the system and smiled. The reason the original never said anything about what happened is because he promised his father that he would always treat Zhus as his family, no matter how they treated him.

So all the while they were destroying his company, he said nothing, but the day he lost it was the day Yawen plagiarized all his hard work.

Even when he destroyed his reputation in the house, he never even gave him the time of day, only insulting him in the confessional room.

Reversing the original's public opinion should be easy, he just needs to find evidence of the claim he made and the whole world will see how Yawen is a liar.

After doing some research, A-Xuan found the letter signed by Zhu Zhanjie asking to terminate the partnership. After that, he hacked the Zhu mansion security and recuperated two videos.

One was the one where Zhu Zhanjie was threatening the original to not say a word of what he saw, and the other was him and Yawen insulting him and throwing him out of the house.

A-Xuan dug deeper and found the person responsible for leaking Zhu Zhanjie's affair, turns out the Omega he slept with sold the story for a lot of money. After doing some work, A-Xuan closed his eyes and went to sleep.
