As the days went by, Leon, through his training, could fully focus on both things simultaneously.
Half a month has passed since the practice began.
Today he will go to the forest to fight the wolf. So he didn't do any work today. After having breakfast he set out to his destination.
It took nearly twenty minutes to arrive near the place where he saw the wolf killed by the adventurers.
When he was going through the forest he cautiously walked and checked his nearby. He didn't even leave the newbie village, he doesn't want to fight a boss now.
Arriving at the place, he saw nothing. He didn't immediately get disappointed. He knew these guys may be nearby. So he went to search his surroundings.
Crunch.
He suddenly heard the sound of bones being crushed. He went to the source of the sound and saw an orange-colored wolf eating a small white rabbit.
This wolf had an orange body and a tangerine-colored fluffy tail. Its height was 80 cm, and its width was 55 cm. It had white eyebrows and brown eyes. On top of its head, it had hair that looked like orange spikes. Its name was Brown Earth Wolf.
But Leon didn't know anything about it, his only activity area was Greenwood Village. So his knowledge was also limited.
Leon was sure when he saw this monster that those adventurers didn't kill this wolf. They killed a gray-ish-colored wolf. Still, he couldn't feel that type of danger and threat when he saw that gray wolf but this one still made him feel a little threat, While he now knowing how to fight.
No matter what, he will fight his guy, only by fighting can he become stronger; otherwise, he will always be like a greenhouse plant.
He held the sword handle with his right hand and propped himself up to launch towards it.
Adjusting his breath and calming down his agitated heart, he focused on the wolf and his sword.
When done, he dashed towards the wolf. Noticing someone approaching, the wolf turned his head at Leon.
Leon drew his sword with his right hand and held it with both while dashing. Seeing the wolf turn its head at him, he focused on its neck, where it is most vulnerable and easy to kill if a clean cut is made.
The wolf lifted itself with its rear legs as if it were standing. It then went down and pressed against the ground with its front legs.
Leon was always focusing on it. He saw all of this and knew it making a move. He took his focus off his sword. Instead, he focused on his surroundings.
He can at most focus on two things or two places now. So he had to fight efficiently.
He stopped and didn't rush forward. While focusing on his surroundings, he saw rocks sprouting from the bottom of his feet. He immediately dodged to the right. He saw a rock spike come out of the soil where he was.
[ Rock Spikes ]
He couldn't even have the time to relax after dodging that. He saw another rock sprouting from the soil. He didn't have much time to dodge this, so he got a cut on his left hand.
But he didn't care about it now, whenever he was stepping to dodge, a rock spike would sprout out. After eleven or thirteen rock spikes came out, the attack stopped.
Leon had many cuts and scars on his hands and legs. He was breathing heavily. He tried to protect his body the most, because an injury in this place can be very damaging.
The wolf also didn't seem to do well. It was also taking long breaths.
Leon knew he couldn't drag out this fight. Monsters have a natural advantage in physical strength. It seems to be gasping for breath now, but it still has good strength in its tanks.
Leon rushed towards it with full focus. When he was face to face with it, he saw the wolf swing its left paw. He jumped hard to evade it, and he saw that he was floating on top of its head. He didn't miss this moment, he slashed its neck.
Puch.
When he was about to go deep, he was too far from its neck by now. He safely landed on the ground behind it. He didn't feel sad about not killing it in one shot, he saw it as a success. The wolf was wailing in pain.
It had become totally enraged now. It rushed at him with redness in its eyes.
Seeing it rushing towards him madly, he knew his chance came.
Leon adjusted his breath and held his sword with both hands, which was pointing diagonally in the sky. The wolf came close to him, jumped, and tried to bite his head.
When its mouth was close to his sword, he dodged to the left and turned right to make a vertical slash at the place where it had a deep cut.
The wolf was going forward in motion; it was like a moving object, like the fallen leaves he practiced with.
This is what 'Focus Art' is for. Focusing on an object, he can match its rhythm or predict its path while still not having the same speed as the object.
When Leon took the vertical slash position, he entered a state where everything started slowing down. In both places he focused, he saw the wolf going slowly through the air, and his sword started to come down slowly.
He knew where he had to swing his sword now. So he swung his sword in full force at the position where the wolf would be at the time his sword came down.
SLASH.
A white arc flashed. His sword was also close to touching the ground.
On his right side, the wolf's head separated from its body. Its body smashed into a tree, and its head rolled into the distance.
