It has been four days since the rainy season began. The sky was covered with dark clouds, and the sound of heavy rain could be heard.
Under a tree beside the muddy road, Leon was standing for shelter.
Leon looked at the rain and thought. 'Why is it raining heavily these days? My rice hat could only save my upper body from being wet. My pants are getting wet every time it rains heavily like this.'
'I don't know what are they doing in the village. Did Aunty clean the house nicely?'
'Ahhh...I am hungry. I want to eat something. Why the hell does this rain Do Not Stop!?'
.
.
As Leon was having a bunch of useless thoughts, the rain finally stopped.
He went on the road again. But first, he went on a rabbit hunt.
When he came to this world, he thought there would only be monsters all around, because in the village everyone warned him not to go too deep inside the forest, and people also eat big-sized cows, pigs, boars, etc. as food.
But as he went on his way along this road, he hunted many basic animals for food, such as rabbits, buffalos, deer, etc.
Hunting down three rabbits he ate one and the rest was kept as ration.
On this daily routine, two more days went by.
Today, he saw a road getting connected from the right side to his own road. There are many caravans being pulled by horses, sometimes beasts, and people on their feet. The caravan has many designs. People wore many types of clothes, and the common theme was that the people on feet or on horses were in a group. Most of them have a weapon on their back, in their hand, or on their waist.
Leon first questioned himself upon seeing this. 'Why are most people coming from that road and no one from this one?'
After some thinking, he found out the reason. 'Is it possible that our road to the other sides is cut off? For this reason, no merchant or adventurer comes to our village. Our village also has no specialties that can attract people.'
He eventually also followed the crowd. After some walking, he saw a big fort. The fort was gray in color. There appear to be people standing on it, guarding and occasionally checking the surroundings.
There seem to be three lanes into the fort, two lanes are basically queues for people going to the other side of the fort, and on the other lane, people are coming from the other side. On that side, people are mixed with caravans and horses. The first queue is made up of people on foot and horses, while the second is mostly made up of caravans.
Leon had decided to explore the world. Basically, he was an adventurer. He stood on the queue of without caravans. He knew it from the start when he saw this, one lane was for merchants, and the other was for adventurers.
While standing in the queue, which was moving rather quickly, he looked around and saw people with red hair.
He couldn't help but blurt out when he saw these people. "Who are those guys?"
A girl behind him who was in her 20s, had a ponytail, with nice body proportions, a below-average beauty, and with a stern face, said to him."Hey kid, you do not know them?"
"I do not know. I am out of my village for the first time." Leon replied.
The girl was curious."Which village are you from?"
"Greenwood Village."
"Oh, that's why. This sister will then tell you about them." The girl said it in a teaching manner.
She decided to do it because she knew about his village. This village is basically trapped. Their knowledge of the outside world is basically nonexistent. Not only Leon's village but there are also many villages that are abandoned by people for having no use.
"Thank you, Big Sis." Leon was grateful, and he also wants to know about them.
"Listen, these red-haired guys are Ashura. Their people are born with a better physique than us, humans. Ashuras are born to fight. They are known as the best fighters on the entire continent. They are also weapon masters. If you can get on their good side, they will never forget about you, they will sometimes treat you as their family." The girl said it in awe.
Leon was also in awe. 'These guys are basically monsters themselves. But are they still the most powerful ones?'
So he asked. "Big sis are they at the top of the continent?"
The girl pondered for a moment and said."I don't know about that but I know or basically everyone knows Ashura's are among the top 3 races."
Leon, hearing this, guessed. 'I seem to underestimate them. To be in the top 3, these may have pulled themselves into the ranking with only their racial talent, the Born Fighters. These guys' fighting talent seems to be off the charts.'
The more he guessed, the more shocked he became. 'Ashura's seem to be a headache to battle with.'
After all these inner thoughts he said to the girl."Thank you, Big Sis, for the lessons."
"No..no..no, you do not have to thank me, you should have known this by yourself at any time. These are wildly known by all firstly." The girl didn't take the credit; rather, she asked. "What is your name?"
"My name is Leon. Big sis, what is yours?" Leon politely said.
"Mine is Layla. You seemed to be going on an adventure at this age."
"Yes, I want to explore the whole world. So I embarked on the journey to see it."
"Then I wish you the best of luck. Do not die too early; there are many big and scary monsters."
"Thank you; I will keep it in mind."
After their chat, they went silent, standing in the queue. Leon's turn is almost coming.
After going through this, he will come to a whole new place.
