Leon became quite nervous. He doesn't know if this guy will make him stay here. He said. "Sir, sorry about that. I didn't actually want to make it happen."
"Hahaha... Don't be nervous. I am not gonna be serious about these little things." The man laughed.
"Come sit down. I can not let a guest stand all the time."
Leon also calmed down. He sat down on a chair in front of the desk.
Finally, he could see the face properly. The man had huge muscles, a big smile on his face, some scars on his face and arms, and his face looked carefree.
"Let me start by introducing myself. I am Banner, Commander of the 7th Legion. I am currently guarding this side of the border." The man introduced himself.
"I am Leon from Greenwood Village." Leon also introduced himself.
"Oh, you came from that small village. It is totally a surprise; a genius is born in a place where people didn't even have an interest in strength." Banner joked.
"Sir, I am not a genius. I just work hard." Leon became embarrassed. So he changed the topic. "Sir, can I have my stuff back?"
"Of course, wait." Banner went to the wardrobe on his right side and opened it. There seem to be many items in there. It was all in a jumble. His bag and sword were on top of the jumble.
He took Leon's items and handed them over to him. "Sorry, you have to see this mess. Many people die and are killed at the border. The stuff in my office is most important."
Leon nodded. He got his stuff back, so he stood up and said."Sir, thank you for letting me stay here, but I have to go."
Banner didn't mind him leaving; he had just sincerely asked. "You can have breakfast with us and then leave."
"No, sir, I can have it later. I don't want to trouble you anymore." But Leon denied it.
"Okay, then, have a safe journey."
"Thank you, sir. I will."
After that, Leon left the fortress. When he was out of the fortress, he didn't see the guard that tested him yesterday. 'Maybe he is on duty, I wanted to say farewell to him.'
Eventually, he left. On his way, he saw another fortress ahead. This one is just like the one he saw just the flag hanging on it had red color and many weapons crossed each other to make a star. This must be the Ashura kingdom's flag. The human kingdom's flag he saw was gray in color, with a bird flapping its wings as if it were soaring in the sky.
He came close to the fortress and saw a small queue; he lined up with no question asked.
After some time, his turn came.
A guard stood in front of him with red armor, He asked him. "Give 100 bronze coins."
Leon was shocked; he knew they would ask him for some toll fee, but it was too much. Grandpa Rick only saved 263 bronze coins and 2 silver coins. Leon saved 322 bronze coins and 5 silver coins with all the hard work and trying to spend close to none.
And now he was asked to give one-fifth of the total bronze he has now. He yelled. "You guys are robbing people!! That is too much. Is this a new method to kill people you guys have discovered?"
The guard also exploded. "Who told you we are robbing ! This price is already low. Look at the adventurers behind you. They have to give one silver coin each, and merchants have to give four silver coins per carriage."
Leon was dumbfounded. He felt he was on the right side when he said those words, but now he looked like he was totally wrong.
Leon embarrassingly said."Sorry about that, Sorry about that. Here is the fee."
After handing him the money, he quickly left.
Seeing that he was now quite a distance from the fortress, he sighed. "Poverty really shortened my vision."
Then he walked on the road, hoping to arrive at a town at least. While he was walking, he saw a group of people standing beside the road.
When he came close to them, he saw Layla among the group. With everyone's behavior, she looked like the leader of this group.
Layla was talking to his team about something when, suddenly, from the corner of her eye, she saw Leon walking toward them. She hurriedly walked out of the group and came forward.
Leon, seeing her coming, said."Big sis, I didn't expect to meet you here."
"If I wanted to, you couldn't ever find me. I was waiting for you." Layla said with a smile.
"Huh, waiting for me?" Leon was curious.
"Yes, waiting for you. I want to talk about something."
"Big sis, I don't think I am that much of an important figure that you can benefit from discussing with me."
"Not now, but you will be in the future, so I want to make sure to tell you something early," Layla said with a smile.
She walked close to him and leaned down. Her face was right in front of Leon. Layla was 1.8 meters. So Leon saw all the Inside of her sacred mountains from up close.
Leon's face became hot. He had never been this seductively seduced in his entire life; Aunty Halen did make fun of him, but not seductively.
Layla looked into his face and spoke with a soft voice. "I will tell you something now, and you have to promise not to break it."
Leon's hormones were dancing wildly now, and he nodded subconsciously.
She smiled at his reply and came close to his right ear, she said with a soft breath."You will be mine from now on; I will wait until you get old and then marry you. One more thing, My little friend down has to pure till now or I will not forgive you."
