Didn't even recognise his own daughter

Vijay with Hina sitting on the couch of the drawing hall was talking to Anand, Vijay's father on a phone call. "You took Roy's family with you?" Grandfather Anand asked Vijay.

Once his family reached Mallaya's mansion he got the information about their indirect misbehaviour of bringing other families with them for connection. He was disappointed and embarrassed too.

"Yes. They are our relatives."

"Not yet."

"But they will be."

No matter if it's with Pearl or with Sia, they are soon going to be in-laws. The only thing he did wrong was to bring Roy's other families with him. However, impressing and making Roy happy is also one important thing for the Sen family.

"Why were they there with you in the first place," Anand asked.

Roy doesn't visit Sen that much. And after Master Roy's death, and Pearl's absence, the reasons fell to almost zero. Why would they visit Sen when no one concerned to them is present there?

Vijay started sweating.

Telling his father about Sia's engagement, when it is still on hold by Roy's, is very deathly. His father would object, and that is inevitable.

However, if he has the support of Roy fully, he can manage most of the outbursts and stuff from his father. But now… he doesn't have that back.

"We were discussing...Amm... nothing much..."

"Engagement?" Anand asked again.

Vijay got stunned by his question. The question and his answer matched perfectly well.

The cold sweats started forming on his nape and forehead. Gulping hard he whispered. "Huh?... Yes. How..did… you" He stammered hard.

"...You knew Pearl was coming back?" Anand asked again.

Last time he said nothing about Pearl's coming back home because he thought when she would be back, things would come to light anyway.

But except him, no one knows about Pearl's coming back. That surprised him a little. Did his son contact his daughter? Or they met her? But before the funeral day it was impossible for them to meet. And they were discussing engagement before knowing anything about funerals.

Vijay's eyes widened in horror. He forgot to blink. Looking straight ahead he asked with another bewilderment.

"What? She is coming back?"

Anand said nothing. His question cleared a lot of questions. Neither his son knows anything about Pearl, nor did they meet yet.

"Whose engagement were you talking about then?" He coldly asked.

"We… Did... Nothing special." Vijay stammered again.

By his stammering, Anand felt his old headache coming back. Taking a deep breath, he changed the subject as he asked.

"You took care of things there at the funeral?" The last time on call, he ordered him to help the family as much as he can.

"Actually father. Uncle's distant granddaughter took care of everything. When we reached, everything was settled." Vijay confidently replied to that.

When he went to the funeral, he did ask Pearl if she needed any help, and she denied it completely. So there was no burden on him about that.

"Distant granddaughter?" Anand asked doubtfully.

"Yes. There was a girl wearing a family band with Mrs. Mallaya. She must be a granddaughter right?"

The more Anand heard him the more he was getting furious. Gritting his teeth he coldly replied to his son. "... Yes... she is their granddaughter."

The coldness was very much visible to Vijay. He concernedly asks. "Dad, what happened?"

Tut Tut Tut… Anand had already hung up the call.

"What happened?" Hina sitting beside her asks.

"He hung up."

"Is he angry with something?" She asked again. In their house, her father in law still exercises. She can't afford his anger.

"I don't know." Vijay said confusedly too.

He knows that his father is angry and also knows that the reason is somewhere behind the conversation they just had, but he couldn't pinpoint the reason behind it.

"He said something else too. What was it?" Hina worriedly asked.

When Vijay was talking on the phone, he talked about someone coming back. She didn't disturbed him at first but now she is bothered with who is coming back.

Vijay turned to Hina. After talking to his father the thing that bothered him the most was his daughter coming back.

After all these years he already forgot what daughter or feeling he has for her. However the news of her coming back brought lots of useless memories of her.

Massaging his forehead with tiredness he answered. "Well, he said that Pearl is coming back?"

Hina's mouth unknowingly gaped. Her leaned back straightened up from Vijay in horror. Looking at her husband with inexplicable feelings she asked in shock.

"What? When and Why? Is she already back?"

"I still don't know? She might be coming soon I think." Vijay said.

"Why?" She asked immediately.

"Ask her when she will be back." Vijay frustratingly said. His mind is already blown up with everything messing around. Taking a deep breath he said. "Anyway, ask someone to clean her room."

"We don't have her room. Did you forget that we combined her room with Sia's for Sia years ago?"

Once Pearl was sent abroad, they immediately combined the room for Sia's convenience.

Though Pearl's room wasn't big enough ever before. And the only thing that room helped Sia was her to have a big closet and washroom.

"Then where would she stay?"

"I don't know. I can ask someone to clean the storage room for her." Hina said in surrender.

Vijay scoffed. He doesn't care much about Pearl, but this treatment would be too much for Sen's daughter. "Storage room? Why don't you just clean panty room then."

"Stop shouting at me. It's not only my fault." Hina retorted back.

"You!" He got annoyed. By everyone's behaviour. With a sigh he accepted everything and said in surrender. "Do whatever you can. For now just call that girl and ask."

"I don't have her number."

"What kind of mother are you?"

"Oh really? Okay, I am a bad mother. Now you tell me her number?"

"Why would I have her number?"

"You- such a hypocrite."

"Leave. Where is Sia?" He asked as he looked around the hall.

"She went out with Yamini."

"Tell her to spend more time with Yash. She is marrying him not to his family. If he denies the engagement we will be left with nothing."

"Okay."

Hina and Vijay both saw Yash's ignorance towards Sia's demand and wish. It's not right for a boyfriend to ignore his girlfriend's behaviour and actions. It makes it look like that Sia is not his girlfriend but someone else's.

While they were talking to each other, footsteps ran downstairs before standing in front of them.

"I want to go to the Mallya mansion." Arush said to both Hina and Vijay.

"Sorry?" They both asked at once.

"Why would you go there, son?" Hina concernedly asked.

Arush licked his lower lips with hesitation and honestly said. "I think I left something there."

"What?" Vijay asked.

"Something important and personal. I need it." Arush answered honestly.

After coming back from Mallaya mansion, he looked forward to every day. He waited for the thirteenth day of the funeral.

It came and passed, but his sister didn't come. He thought she might need time to pack her stuff, but days passed and it never happened.

Now he has lost his patience. After meeting Pearl once, he can't wait or waste a single second in hope of meeting her again.

He knows where she lives and definitely will go after her if she won't come for him.

He understands if Pearl doesn't want her family, but won't accept if she doesn't want him too.

That's why he will hide the fact of her coming back and her identity to keep her just to himself.

"I will ask someone to bring it back for you." Vijay said.

"No. I need to bring it back carefully myself."
