Thank you

Emmett came back with the maids carrying their dinner. Knocking once on the door he waited for the reply.

"Come in."

With that Emmett walked in. Seeing Pearl in her nightdress, he took the dinner trolley from the maid and asked the maid to leave first.

"You changed properly?"

"What?" Pearl instantly frowned.

"Your wounds didn't open right?"

"... No." Pearl replied with a pause.

"You sure Noodles?" Emmett asked again.

Pearl gave a fiendish smile. Turning to him properly he asked. "Senior you wanna check?"

"Don't try to be smart, just answer." Emmett warned.

Pearl sighed. Just when she thought that she would play little, she got cut off. With a sigh she shook her head in denial. "Yes. Although I can't be sure about later tonight."

"I'll take care of that part. Now come and eat." Saying that Emmett went to the couch and served their dinner on a plate.

Pearl was about to move when she remembered something. "Where is my bag?"

"On the corner chair." He answered.

Pearl hurriedly turned. Taking the bag from the chair she checked the contents. Taking her gun out of it, she put it under her pillow.

Once done with that, she went to the couch. However before taking her seat she called him. "Amm. Senior."

"Hmm?" Emmett unhurriedly looked up.

Pearl hesitated a little. Rolling her tongue, she took a deep breath and spoke. "I wanted to thank you for everything you did for me. Thank you for taking care of me after the accident. And also for my....brother. Thanks for that."

She knows that Emmett specifically went for Arush. He had no reason to take care of a boy's stubbornness, but Emmett did for her. She is grateful to him. Not to forget, how he also took care of her in hospital and after that.

Emmett quietly waited for her to finish. This is Pearl's first time that she thanked him for something. Did he feel anything? No. He didn't do anything for sorry or thanks but just for her and definitely for himself too.

With a blank face he seriously asked. "Done?"

To his question, Pearl firmly nodded too. "Yeah."

"Then come and eat." He pushed one plate to his left.

While having their dinner, Pearl frowned few times. It was hard for her to bend or to use her left hand because of elbow injury.

After ten minutes Pearl couldn't help but grumbled hard. "It smells."

"What? Your bandages?" He asked.

"Hmm."

Seeing her with bandages on her forehead, elbow, knees, he couldn't help but frown too. It was very annoying to his eyes. He wanted to smack that head of her's but...

"Why are you always getting hurt?" He seriously asked.

"I don't."

"Can you stop being clumsy?"

"I am not."

"Yes you are. Now stop being grumpy about it."

"I am not."

Emmett sighed. "Eat."

"I am doing so. You are the one who is bothering me." She complained.

After another twenty minutes both were done with their dinner. While Emmett cleaned the table, Pearl went to wash her hands and face. By the time she came back, Emmett already made the helpers clear the room.

While he was putting pillows on the couch, Emmett noticed Pearl's wet hairs on her side face. Leaving both the pillow and comfort on the couch he went towards her.

Pearl was sitting on bed, taking her medicines, when Emmett came to her. She got puzzled and looked at him with a questionable gaze.

"What?"

"Your hair. Let me tie it for you."

"You know how to do it?" She suspiciously asked.

Her hair was actually bothering her a lot. Because of her elbow she couldn't tie it. While washing her face, she felt like she was at war with her hairs. And in the end they won over her too.

"No. But I'll manage to do something with it."

"You don't tie a knot."

"...i know."

"Clutcher is over there."
