Chapter 32 Bold girl (Rewritten)

The sun was scorching, casting a dazzling light in the sky.

Stephen, who had just stepped out of the hotel room, tilted his head slightly. The sun played upon Laurel's body, highlighting her long brown wavy hair. Her exquisite face displayed a slight blush on both cheeks, and a slightly lazy expression added to her captivating charm.

"Should we go back to the hotel?" Stephen suddenly asked.

"Go back? Didn't we just come out? The room we booked has already been checked out of." Laurel was taken aback and turned to look at Stephen.

As she turned her head, she found him gazing at her, his dark eyes filled with interest and possessiveness. It was a different look than the one he had while supervising her exercises before; now his eyes showed desire, the kind men have towards women when they desire private time together.

His direct gaze made Laurel instinctively avoid eye contact. Even though she was dressed modestly, she felt even shyer than when he looked at her naked during the exercise.

Laurel didn't know what to do in this situation.

If he had approached her when he first opened the hotel room door or immediately after the exercise, she might have felt resentful but submissive. But now, if Stephen asked her, she didn't know how she would respond.

"Forget it, let's save some excitement for later," Stephen said casually, noticing Laurel's embarrassment. "I won't supervise your afternoon exercise. Just do it on your own."

Laurel nodded instinctively and watched as Stephen, who had been standing there, walked away. Now, she was left there, dazed.

Not long after she walked away, she spotted her mother approaching with a worried and slightly angry expression. "Are you okay, dear? That guy didn't do anything to you, did he?"

Laurel shook her head.

"Really?" Dinah Lance seemed unconvinced.

She had brought her daughter to the hotel early in the morning. When Laurel came out, her cheeks were flushed, and her legs were shaky. Having experienced similar situations when she was younger, Dinah Lance couldn't help but think of certain intimate encounters.

Laurel nodded and assured her that nothing had happened inside the hotel room. Dinah Lance furrowed her brows. Stephen hadn't mentioned who was behind the incident, and he hadn't mistreated her daughter either. He had only supervised her exercise. Dinah Lance decided to observe the situation for now.

She had already reported the events of the previous night to headquarters. After all, the deaths of several agents were not trivial. The instructions from above were to gather as much intelligence on Stephen as possible for the time being.

After parting ways with Laurel, Stephen didn't return to the apartment. He aimlessly walked the streets, taking in the sights. What was essential for a hero's standard gear? Uniforms and equipment were necessary for training, as well as for Laurel to become Black Canary ahead of time.

Stephen had thought about this for a while. Where could he get the uniform? Obviously, it would come from Wayne Enterprises. After all, Talia Al Ghul's identity hadn't been exposed yet. She was currently the largest shareholder of Wayne Enterprises.

She could easily provide me with the uniform based on the photo I took. It should be simple, right? Regular equipment could also be obtained from Wayne Enterprises. As for the Black Canary's iconic special equipment, the sonic scream, I can go to Central City and find Cisco Ramon. We may not know each other, and I may not have money, but is it truly that important? No, it's not!

Unbeknownst to Stephen, he found himself in a park. Even though the sun was setting on the horizon, many people were having lunch or going on dates there.

He found a large shady tree and sat on the grass, looking around leisurely. He planned to wait for Felicity to return from work so she could help him contact Talia Al Ghul. The sunlight filtered through the branches, and suddenly, a woman emerged from behind the tree. She had long burgundy hair and was dressed in black. She seemed to be running away, looking back and forth as if someone was chasing her.

When she spotted Stephen sitting against the tree, her eyes instantly lit up with an idea.

She quickly walked towards him and sat directly on his lap, wrapping her arms around him. At the same time, her hands hooked around Stephen's neck, and she kissed him passionately.

She was bold, enthusiastic, and committed.

In the next moment, she pushed him to the ground while continuing to kiss him fervently.

Her movements were a bit awkward but filled with energy. She held Stephen tightly as if trying to merge with his body.

"Huh, huh?" She suddenly gasped and realized that he was holding her hand, causing her to roll off him. Now, she was the one lying on the ground. In the next moment, she felt him pressing down on her, his arms on either side of her shoulders. His other hand cradled her head as they kissed again.

Initially feeling a mix of anger and panic, she soon realized that this position provided more cover. After a momentary surprise, she relaxed and reciprocated, transitioning from pretense to genuine passion.

Footsteps could be heard approaching, and two men in black suits, black trousers, and sunglasses—dressed uniformly—ran over. They glanced at the affectionate couple on the ground, then quickly averted their eyes. Even in more open-minded places like parks, witnessing such intimacy made them slightly embarrassed, causing them to instinctively look away.

"Let's split up and cover more ground!"

Not finding their target in sight, the two men in black whispered to each other and separated, searching in different directions.
