The passing years are unfavorable, and few are considered more unfortunate than the legendary team.
Soon after her debut, White Canary Sarah Lance almost left the team because her sister had an additional boyfriend. Fortunately, she managed to send the culprit to Paradise Island, ruled by the future Wonder Woman Diana and countless Amazon warriors. I expected as much. Time deviations can be corrected, but what about the outcome?
Although Sarah Lance stayed, the Bird of Prey team remained dormant. The only difference is that the Bird of Prey team, without Stephen, keeps a low profile. No one knows she's still alive. She still betrays the League of Assassins and wants to protect her family. She is killed and resurrected, and later joins the legendary team.
It can be said that apart from her history, nothing has changed. That's it. After all, she resolved the crisis of leaving the team. She wanted to kill Vandal Savage and bring Stephen back.
But the nickname "garbage dump team" isn't undeserved; Savage is still alive and well. They failed to eliminate him, and finally managed to escape danger. However, the time bounty hunter Cronus, sent by Rip Hunter's former boss, the Lord of Time, relentlessly pursued them like a mad dog.
What should they do?
Firstly, let's send Stephen back first and verify the outcome later.
With hard work, nothing is impossible to mess up.
Has the future Wonder Woman and the Paradise Island of countless brave Amazons been enslaved by Stephen? And these people didn't even try to resist.
Do you dare to believe it?
It's as ridiculous as them not being able to kill Vandal Savage, but then he suddenly dies by choking on water.
It's not that they don't understand; it's just that the world is changing too fast.
As they observe the Amazon warriors surrounding them and watch Stephen leading people onto the Wave Rider, Rip Hunter regrets his decisions.
On board the ship.
Artemis, Diana, and Hippolyta curiously examine the spaceship filled with futuristic technology.
"Does this... ship really travel through time?" Diana asks curiously.
Stephen waves his hand and doesn't answer. He's busy observing the situation between the Bird of Prey team and Helena.
After Stephen's "disappearance," Felicity takes the initiative to find Laurel and Catwoman and begins organizing a search. One wants to find her vanished boyfriend, one wants to discover the true culprit behind her sister's murder, and the other wants software to clear her criminal record.
During the search for Stephen, they also deal with criminals in the city, and the Bird of Prey team gradually takes shape. On the other side, evidence is being erased. Stephen and Helena, who have vanished from the world, are not idle. Do they want to find Stephen? What a coincidence, so does Helena! She goes directly to the Bird of Prey team to briefly explain the situation and presents them with two choices.
Either hand over Stephen or hand over the erased evidence.
Want Stephen? They're looking for him too. Want evidence? It's been erased.
It's a standoff.
Recovering the evidence proves too difficult, so Helena decides to take matters into her own hands as the Huntress. While Catwoman stays out of the situation, Laurel, who targets corrupt lawyers, and the kind and just Felicity, stop her.
The Huntress goes deeper and deeper. Although it doesn't reach the point of killing or death, tensions rise. The Bird of Prey team tries to stop the Huntress several times. However, she has already killed Frank, causing significant trouble for the Bird of Prey team. The solo vigilante experiences some setbacks, but overall, there are victories and losses on both sides.
Although it differs from Stephen's expectations, the Bird of Prey team and the Huntress become estranged, with no time to think about labeling themselves.
The goal is achieved.
"They've come to pick you up? Will you... go with them?" Diana asks as she approaches Stephen.
Artemis and Hippolyta look over as well.
"Do you want me to go?" Stephen smiles, reaching out to touch Diana's shoulder.
Diana snorts coldly and pushes Stephen's hand away. "Wherever you are, I will defeat you and make you pay."
"Sigh... Then you'll never forget me in your life."
Stephen chuckles dismissively. "Artemis, bring them here."
"Yes."
It doesn't take long for Artemis to respond and bring someone to the legendary team.
Stephen looks at the formidable legendary team and smiles. "The embankment is higher than the shore, and the waves will destroy it. You are those waves. Do you regret it now? Your operation is as fierce as a tiger, but when the result isn't satisfactory, it's because of you. Paradise Island was destroyed, and its inhabitants became my slaves. Even Wonder Woman was forced to dance the Devil's Tango with me. Can you fathom the consequences of this time deviation? What if Wonder Woman grows to hate men and refuses to join the Justice League in the future? Will the world retaliate against men? Do you feel that success isn't enough? Do you think that? Don't despair..."
Stephen smiles brilliantly. "Because at least your judgment is correct!"
"..."
"We'll send you back and then rectify this time deviation." Rip Hunter turns to Hippolyta and speaks earnestly. "I promise to undo all of this and make sure that what he did never happened."
"He... hehehehe..."
Stephen hears their words and bursts into laughter. The more he laughs, the louder it gets. He points his finger at each member of the legendary team, finally pointing at Hippolyta, taunting them arrogantly. "This will be fun. You know what? Even if you have this opportunity, even if I don't stop you, they... will definitely not agree!"
"Are you insane?" Hawkgirl Kendra Saunders couldn't help but shout.
"He's a lunatic; it's not surprising for him to speak madly," White Canary Sara Lance adds.
"Sometimes, if you don't work hard, you'll never know what despair feels like." Stephen smiles and asks Hippolyta, "As the queen of the Amazons who became my slave, tell them, do you want to change what happened?"
Change what happened? Then who will stop Eris, the goddess of strife?
"No!" Hippolyta solemnly declares.
"How can this be?" Hawkgirl exclaims, bewildered.
"You sacrificed your own Artemis to save the tribe. Are you willing to change everything that happened?" Stephen questions again.
"My Lord, anyone who wants to change all of this is my enemy!" Artemis declares, casting a sharp glance at the legendary team. She is now the goddess of strife.
Silence.
The legendary team can't comprehend why this is happening.
Seeing Stephen's gaze fixed on Diana, they can't help but raise their hopes. Diana, who has been replaced, would surely desire for this never to have happened, right?
