Chapter 63 Money is not a problem, the problem is that there is no money (Rewritten)

"The New Pillow...Candidate?"

Diana briefly let go of Stephen's hand, momentarily taken aback by his statement.

"Some people and their bad habits," mocked White Canary Sara Lance as she stood up slowly. She looked at Diana and continued, "Still don't understand? It's simply using a woman as a pillow while sleeping, and maybe nothing more. It's despicable!"

"That's better than someone who can only do superficial tasks," Stephen casually replied, slapping her hand away without inquiring how she knew about his habit. He turned around and tapped on the console.

A moment later, information appeared on the screen.

"1871? Redemption Town in Dakota? What's there?" Sara Lance asked suspiciously, studying the information Stephen had pulled up.

"The candidate for the new pillow, but unfortunately, I could only find her name," Stephen mumbled, glancing at Rip Hunter, who reluctantly instructed Gideon to initiate time travel.

The Wave Rider crossed through time once again.

This time, Stephen didn't feel uncomfortable. Although Diana was initially nervous, she quickly shrugged it off. After all, she was a demigod.

In 1871, just outside Redemption Town.

The Wave Rider landed and entered stealth mode. Stephen smiled and said, "Hey, Canary, come with me. Everyone else is free to explore."

Rip Hunter hurriedly asked, "What the hell are you doing here? And how long will you stay?"

"Looking for a new pillow. As for how long I'll stay, it depends on when I find one," Stephen replied, hooking his arm with Sara Lance's and stepping off the Wave Rider.

Diana frowned but had no choice but to follow them.

After disembarking from the Wave Rider, Sara Lance patted Stephen's hand and asked with dissatisfaction, "Why did you bring me along?"

"As insurance," Stephen Lang replied matter-of-factly. "What if they try to escape on the Wave Rider?"

"I mean, why me?" Sara Lance irritably inquired.

"Because you have a generous bosom!" Stephen lowered his head and glanced at her. Although Sara Lance wasn't as delicate and beautiful as her sister, she had ample cleavage. "If I can't find a new pillow, you can be the replacement."

"Don't you have Wonder Woman, Diana?" Sara Lance looked at Diana, who was following them.

"Can I sleep while holding her?"

"What do you mean?" Sara Lance was stunned. "You can't sleep while holding her, but you can sleep while holding me? Are you saying I'm unattractive?"

"You know, your face would be perfect if it covered two places," Stephen remarked seriously.

"Perfect if it covered two places?" Sara Lance asked curiously. "Which two places?"

"The left half and the right half of your face."

"…"

Sara Lance took a deep breath, restraining the urge to punch this guy. So, you're basically saying I should cover my face to look perfect!

Redemption Town was small, somewhat desolate and backward.

Rows of wooden small buildings with horses tied to their front doors greeted them. Everyone in the town dressed like western cowboys, and they looked at the three individuals entering their town in strange outfits with surprise and wariness.

Stephen seemed unfazed.

Sara Lance wore her White Canary uniform, and Diana was even clad in Wonder Woman's armor. In this era, they were not only unconventional but also rather exposed.

"Excuse me," Stephen called out to a man on the side of the road, hooking his arm and pulling him over. The man approached cautiously, clearly taken aback. "Don't worry, I just want to ask if you know where the brothel is."

"The brothel?" Sara Lance stared at Stephen, her eyes widening.

The man was also stunned. Perhaps he didn't expect Stephen to be accompanied by two such beautiful women and ask for directions to a brothel? He secretly glanced at Diana and Sara Lance with envy and pointed towards a second-story building in the distance. "It's over there, but... I doubt you'll find anything more beautiful than the two you've brought with you."

"Life always holds surprises," Stephen smiled and headed straight for the second-story building.

Upon opening the door, they found themselves in a hall where several men and women were drinking. When the door swung open, all eyes turned instinctively to the newcomers. They were taken aback at the sight of Stephen accompanied by the two "extraordinarily" pretty girls, Sarah Lance and Diana.

"Who's in charge here?" Stephen scanned the room, raising his voice.

A woman who appeared motherly approached, and Stephen beamed at her. "Gather all the girls and let me make my selection."

The woman regarded Stephen with suspicion and hesitantly nodded.

After a while, she brought out numerous girls.

All the girls were summoned.

"No, no... not her," Stephen inspected each one, dismissing them with a wave of his hand. He turned to the old woman after examining the last girl. "Are you certain there are no other girls?"

"What? You aren't interested in any of these?" The old woman hesitated for a moment. "We just received another girl, but..."

"Money is not an issue!" Stephen interrupted. "Bring her out; I want to see her."

"Very well."

Soon after she left, she returned with a woman who still appeared disheveled, her clothing torn in places.

Stephen's eyes lit up.

"It's her!"

The old woman seemed surprised that the previously choosy customer had settled on her so quickly. She nodded, pushing the woman towards Stephen. "She's yours now."

"Thank you." Stephen smiled, placing his hands on the woman's shoulders and leading her away.

"Wait, the rooms are upstairs," the old woman hurriedly called out. "And since you said money isn't an issue, it would be best to pay upfront."

"Yes, money is not an issue." Stephen nodded and smiled at the old woman. "The problem is that I have no money."

"No money?!" The old woman was momentarily stunned. Money wasn't the problem, but there was no money?

"Are you playing a trick on me? Do you even know where you are?" the old woman exclaimed, and several burly men suddenly emerged from the side, rushing towards Stephen.

Stephen remained still, exchanging a knowing glance with Sara Lance, who greeted him with a wry smile.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Sara Lance, having been trained to perfection in the League of Assassins, swiftly incapacitated the attackers, leaving everyone else in awe.
