Chapter 65 Disciple (Rewritten)

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Chronos' laser gun fired wildly at Sara Lance. Diana stepped in front of her, waving her arms, and her silver guardian bracelet deflected the laser beams effortlessly.

"Is it bothering you?" Stephen chuckled, looking at the frightened Lilah.

Lilah opened her lips seductively and nodded blankly. The sight of Stephen punching through walls or facing armored villains was beyond her comprehension, leaving her unable to take any action. Diana, the Wonder Woman, reflected the lasers and looked heroic.

"Who... who are you?" Lilah asked instinctively.

"Who?" Stephen pondered for a moment, then smiled and replied, "Them, they don't matter. As for me, my name is Stephen. From now on, you should consider me your... Master?"

A dissatisfied Sara Lance yelled, "Aren't you going to help?" when she saw Stephen standing by, flirting with Lilah.

"I am much more interested in that," Stephen pointed to a black spaceship not far away, which belonged to Chronos.

As a time bounty hunter, Chronos' ship naturally had the ability to travel through time. Though not as grand and luxurious as the WaveRider, it lacked the artificial intelligence of Gideon. In other words, it was a time ship that could be easily seized.

The key was knowing how to operate it!

Seeing Stephen holding Lilah and heading towards the spaceship, Chronos hurriedly aimed his gun. At that moment, Sara Lance stopped hiding behind Diana. With a raised hand, she threw her dagger directly at Chronos' laser gun, knocking it to the ground. In the next moment, she pounced on him.

Sara Lance leaped high with her long, alluring legs, gripping Chronos' neck and throwing him to the ground. Just as Chronos grunted and tried to get up, Sara Lance pressed her knees against him, her dagger poised at his neck.

"Tell me, what happened to the others and the WaveRider?"

On the black spaceship, Stephen couldn't take his eyes off it, while Lilah's mind had gone blank upon entering the ship. This vessel was like a sparrow—small but fully equipped, lacking only artificial intelligence. Its weaponry even surpassed that of the WaveRider.

"From now on, this ship shall be called the Disciple," Stephen declared. (Get it? His powers come from the Marvel protégé, and he is naming the ship Disciple.)

"I have high hopes for our ship. I'll go out and take a look," Stephen said to Lilah, turning and making his way downstairs.

Chronos' helmet was removed, revealing the weathered and sturdy face of Mick Rory, also known as Heatwave. Sara Lance and Diana stood aside, surprised. Sara Lance especially didn't expect that the hunter who had been chasing them all along was actually Chronos, the same person who had tried to kill them on multiple occasions.

But Mick Rory was supposed to be on their side.

"Why is this?" Sara Lance quickly asked as Stephen approached.

"He's from another timeline," Stephen replied casually, glancing at Heatwave Mick Rory. "Is there an instruction manual for the ship?"

"This is the ship the Lord of Time gave me, you..."

Boom!

Before Heatwave Mick Rory could finish his sentence, Stephen promptly broke his leg. The excruciating pain caused Mick Rory to yell in agony.

"Yes or no?"

"No... no... yes..."

"Oh!"

Watching the pained expression on the alternate Heatwave's face, Stephen's hand crackled with electricity as he struck down with force.

Boom!

In a flash of blue light, Heatwave Mick Rory was reduced to a charred figure.

"What have you done?!" Sara Lance couldn't believe that Stephen had killed Mick Rory Heatwave directly. After all... After all, it was Mick Rory Heatwave, even if he came from another timeline, even if he had become Chronos who had hunted them. He was still their teammate, in a way.

"Were you planning on letting him meet the current Heatwave Mick Rory and creating a doppelgänger situation? Or did you intend to let him go and continue chasing all of you? Even if Heatwave Mick Rory didn't truly die, if you spared him, there would still be a chance for him to become Chronos in the future and resume the pursuit. It would create an endless loop of time paradox," Stephen sneered, his tone suggesting it was of no value to her. "Tell Rip Hunter that I have new toys, so he can continue saving the world or whatever."

"Are you going to fly that thing?" Sarah Lance asked, dazed.

"Well, I can learn," Stephen waved his hand dismissively and turned toward the ship.

Diana glanced at Sara Lance and followed suit.

Stephen eagerly studied the Disciple. While not the same as driving a car, it shouldn't be too difficult to learn. By the time Diana and Lilah entered the spacecraft and acquainted themselves, Stephen had already taken control and started the ship. The Disciple lifted off slowly, a bit unsteadily at first, then swiftly soared into the sky like a rocket.

Sara Lance stood there, staring blankly at the departing spaceship, suddenly feeling a sense of absurdity. He... just left?

She had been used as a hostage, a victim of the ship's invasion, and yet he dismissed it so easily.

As two flowers bloomed on separate branches, Sara Lance was about to return to the WaveRider while Stephen piloted the Disciple in the air. Although he hadn't figured out most of its functions yet, he could at least handle it like an airplane.

They flew for an unknown duration until the Disciple gently landed in a desert.

The hatch opened.

Stephen, Lilah, and Diana disembarked slowly.

Diana and Lilah looked surprised at the endless desert. It was their first time seeing such a landscape.

"Why are we here?" Diana asked curiously.

"Nothing significant, just here to watch the sunset!" Stephen chuckled, sitting on the edge of the cabin door and gazing at the distant horizon.

The setting sun cast a golden glow on the desert, creating a rare beauty.

Lilah and Diana couldn't help but sit beside Stephen, silently admiring the sunset. After some time, Stephen suddenly embraced them both and asked with a smile, "Alright, now that we've finished watching that day, let's go inside."

"I didn't challenge you today!" Diana instinctively evaded and replied.

"But you're still on my ship with me now. Shouldn't you pay a price?" Stephen retorted as expected.

"You stole this."

"I stole this ship using my abilities, so it's definitely mine. If you have the ability, you can try to take it."

"I'm not as shameless as you!"

Diana snorted and jumped off the ship, visibly disgruntled. Stephen curled his lips, hugged Lilah, and proceeded inside with her.
