Chapter 102 'Gift' for Barry Allen

City of Starling City.

In the basement of Felicity Villa, which serves as the base and command room for the Bird of Prey Squad, Felicity, Laurel Lance, and Selena Kyle are gathered around the computer, all dressed in cool pajamas of different colors. They are looking at an open email.

The email contained only one sentence: "Stephen appeared in Central City!"

Even though there was only one sentence, the three of them stared at it for a long time before Laurel Lance spoke up. "Could it be a trap set by the Huntress? A year ago, we gathered evidence to put her father, Frank, in prison, but the Huntress has been relentless in her pursuit to kill Frank. I received information that Frank applied for protection and medical treatment in prison. Could it be that the Huntress is using Stephen's news to lure us to Central City and take advantage of the situation?"

Catwoman Selena Kyle couldn't help but hum. "Even Batman has returned to Gotham City. He has been missing for so long without any news. If he does return, he would come back to Starling City. After all, Felicity is his girlfriend. How could he appear in Central City? It's not very credible!"

Felicity responded with a dark expression, pretending to be indifferent. "You don't know the Huntress. He only loves one woman. And after so long, he...he might have already moved on to a new girlfriend."

"So what? You two didn't break up after all!" Selena Kyle remarked.

"What difference does it make? It's just a name. Even if he didn't go missing, didn't he spend every day with the Huntress? Hasn't he touched her or seen her? Hasn't he taken advantage of you?" Selena Kyle and Laurel Lance chimed in.

"Only you have been taken advantage of the most!" Selena Kyle tossed the bag to her without hesitation.

Despite being together for a long time and even living together for convenience, the three of them have known about Stephen's situation for a while. But Laurel Lance changed the subject guiltily, knowing that Stephen took advantage of her more than Catwoman.

"Can you find out who sent this email?"

"The sender is very experienced and erased all traces after sending the email. I can only confirm that the email was indeed sent from Central City," Felicity said.

"Just check what the Huntress is up to."

"Alright!"

Felicity's fingers flew across the keyboard, and after twenty minutes, she had gathered information on the Huntress's whereabouts.

Turns out, she was still in Starling City, dealing with criminals on the streets.

"It's unlikely to be her."

"That doesn't rule out the possibility that she could have enlisted someone else's help."

"Let me handle it. Don't worry about it," Selena Kyle said solemnly. "Felicity, you can go to Central City directly to look for him. After all, you have a full set of tools as the Huntress. You can also provide remote assistance."

"Alright!"

After some thought, Felicity nodded, and so the decision was made.

Night gradually fell, and Stephen glanced at the time before saying to Laurie, "I'm going out for a trip, and I'm not sure when I'll be back. You can sleep in my room at night."

Laurie hesitated, but Stephen immediately used his super speed to leave.

The departure of Lilah and Valentina didn't affect Stephen. After they left, Stephen dragged Laurie over to study how to give her superpowers. However, he had no experience in this area, so there wasn't much progress in their studies. Just as he remembered to turn on his phone, he received a call from Caitlin Snow saying that Barry Allen wanted to meet with him.

Without hesitation, Stephen agreed.

The meeting place was the coffee shop where he saw Iris West working.

The coffee shop had not closed yet. Barry Allen and Caitlin Snow were sitting in the corner, drinking coffee and waiting for Stephen to arrive.

"Barry, are you nervous?" Caitlin Snow whispered, sitting across from Barry Allen. "Actually, he's very easy to get along with, and you all have superpowers, so don't be too nervous."

Barry Allen opened his mouth to speak, but suddenly saw a figure flash by, and in the next moment, there was another person standing beside Caitlin Snow.

"Stephen?" Caitlin Snow was stunned before reacting.

"Darling, no coffee for me?" Stephen glanced at the table and asked Caitlin Snow with a smile.

"I didn't know when you would arrive, what would you like to drink?" Caitlin Snow explained as she got up and went to the bar. "What would you like? I'll order for you."

"I'll have the same as you." Stephen said, watching Caitlin Snow get up and go to the bar. Then he turned to Barry Allen. "What do you want to ask?"

Seeing Stephen again, but not speaking as much as last time, Barry Allen hesitated for a moment before speaking. "When I was little, my mother..."

"Stop!" Stephen interrupted after just one sentence. "You're about to talk about your mother's death, so I hope I don't have to hear it every time. Simply put, I didn't kill your mother. Believe it or not."

"Why should I believe you? I've only seen one other speedster like me with the same speed and lightning!" Barry Allen looked at Stephen and asked in a deep voice.

Stephen shook his head slightly and instantly activated his super speed. Barry Allen was startled, thinking that Stephen was going to attack him, but he realized that Stephen wasn't running towards him, but...

"So fast!"

Barry Allen tried his best to keep up with Stephen's speed, but all he could see was red lightning. "He's at least twice as fast as me, if not...twice."

Frightened, Barry Allen thought Stephen had returned just as quickly as the thought crossed his mind.

"Open your hand." Stephen said to him.

"What?" Barry Allen was dumbfounded.

"Open your hand, and I'll give you a gift." Stephen raised the corner of his mouth.

Barry Allen put his hand on the table and opened it hesitantly, only to see Stephen place a 'cloth' thing in his palm.

"You..." Barry Allen looked at the black item that looked like girl's underwear, and his first instinct was to throw it away.

"This belongs to Iris. Are you sure you want to throw it away?" Stephen smirked. "I know you like Iris, but now she seems to have a boyfriend, and you still haven't confessed to her. So I'll give you a gift and you can do whatever you want with it!"

"You..." Barry Allen was not surprised, but angry. He couldn't believe he had taken Iris's...

Barry Allen unconsciously looked at Iris, who was still unaware, and rushed towards Stephen in anger.
