Chapter 129 Earth 2
Although Gideon is an interactive artificial intelligence, it is still just artificial intelligence and cannot answer Stephen's question.
"If you don't answer me, I will take it as a your acceptance." Stephen walked over with a chuckle, unloaded Gideon, and didn't say anything to Caitlin Snow. He took Gideon away from S.T.A.R. Labs and returned to the lab, Inside his ship, The Disciple.
Loading Gideon onto the disciple made many tasks easier to handle. For example, finding someone!
"Gideon, help me check what Brie Larvan is up to," Stephen said softly as he leaned back in his chair.
Soon, Gideon displayed information about Brie Larvan's activities on the operation desk.
Just like in the original timeline, the notorious Brie Larvan was planning to use robot bees for revenge.
After reading about Brie Larvan's situation, Stephen curiously asked Gideon about the speed and methods required to travel through time and space. After all, Gideon was originally associated with the Reverse Flash, so they should have some understanding of the speed force.
Gideon provided a truthful answer.
One question and one answer addressed many of Stephen's doubts. That's the difference between experience and inexperience. It made him suddenly grasp many things.
"It's easier to travel through time than through space, but I don't need to travel through time now, so... let's see if I can travel through space," Gideon helped him clarify his doubts. Stephen was eager to test whether he could succeed.
Huh!
The lightning flashed, and Stephen emerged from the disciple, running swiftly.
"The speed is about a thousand miles per hour. This speed is sufficient for time travel, but space... it's not enough!"
Stephen started stacking his abilities to increase his speed, running faster and faster. The lightning seemed to merge with his body, making it difficult to discern whether it was the lightning he generated or the natural lightning. He didn't think about controlling the wind around him or paying attention to his surroundings. He focused completely, entering an ethereal state. The energy of the speed force permeated every cell of his body. Stephen even felt like he no longer existed, only the speed force remained.
Boom!
A light blue wormhole, resembling a swirling cloud, suddenly formed in front of him, and Stephen rushed into it.
It was similar to the time stream but different.
The time stream was green, but here it was blue.
Images surrounded him, flashing by.
Past, present, future—all moments in time were present.
Stephen glanced at them but didn't focus too much because he sensed that if he became too absorbed, he would appear at that specific point in time. This kind of traversal was more idealistic, focusing that at any moment, and would traverse to a certain time. The path seemed endless, and Stephen ran for a while before increasing his speed once more.
Huh!
The speed of the yellow lightning increased again—twice, four times... ten times.
Stephen didn't know how fast he was going; he simply thought of Dr. Harrison Wells from Earth II in his mind.
Running on and on, the surroundings suddenly brightened. With a swish, Stephen rushed out.
He took a few steps forward and stopped, realizing that he was in a particular office. When he turned his head, Stephen saw a bespectacled man aiming an energy gun at him.
"Who are you?" the man demanded, his eyes fixed on Stephen with the gun.
Stephen looked at the man in front of him and chuckled softly. "It's indeed quite similar, but it's a shame you're not the Dr. Harrison Wells I know!"
"Answer my question. Who are you?" Dr. Harrison Wells's gun emitted a blue light, as if charged with a bullet.
"Before I answer, tell me, who is the mayor of Central City?" Stephen replied without answering.
Boom! Harrison Wells fired his weapon.
The energy blast hit the wall, and Harrison Wells realized his gun had been dismantled. He threw it on the ground.
"You..." Before he could utter another word, Stephen grabbed Harrison Wells by the neck, holding him with one hand and pulling him closer. Stephen smiled and asked, "Answer my question. Who is the mayor of Central City?"
"Snart," Harrison Wells replied in pain.
"Oh, Captain Cold?" Stephen chuckled and continued, "Your daughter's name is Jesse, right?"
Harrison Wells's expression abruptly changed. "Who are you? How do you know my daughter..."
"Don't rush to ask questions. Answer mine first!" Stephen casually released his grip on Harrison Wells, who was rubbing his own neck, and keeping a wary eye on him. "Does this world have The Flash? Is his name Jay Garrick? And is there another person faster than him called Zoom?"
When super speed was mentioned, Harrison Wells's eyes showed a distinct flicker.
"Did Zoom take your daughter? That doesn't make sense. The explosion didn't create a breach between the two Earths yet. Zoom shouldn't have the idea of targeting another Earth. How could he have kidnapped your daughter?" Stephen asked somewhat unexpectedly.
"Are you from another Earth?" Harrison Wells muttered, looking at Stephen in surprise. "So the theory of parallel universes is true, and the concept of super speed is correct!"
"What do you think?" Stephen asked casually.
"He took Jesse and threaten me to study how to open the portals to parallel worlds. He intends to eliminate the speedsters in other worlds!" Harrison Wells stared at Stephen eagerly. "How did you do it? You're also a speedster. Do you use the Speed Force? Does that mean you can travel through time and space even faster? Your speed must exceed other speedster!"
"No matter what you plan to do in this world, if it helps me save my daughter, I'll do whatever it takes," Harrison Wells pleaded anxiously. He almost forgot that Harrison Wells of Earth II was a overprotective father and could do anything for his daughter Jesse.
In the original timeline, he came to Earth and sought out The Flash, Barry Allen, to defeat Zoom and rescue his daughter. Despite the subsequent betrayal and confession to The Flash due to guilt, he would do anything for his daughter.
Speaking of his daughter, she was also a member of the Flash family and later became the renowned Jessie Quick.
