Chapter 142 Amanda Waller?

Chapter 142 Amanda Waller?

"Do you not recognize me? I'm... I'm Thea, Oliver's sister," Thea refrained from mentioning her last name, considering her background. She stared in surprise at this entirely different Laurel Lance. She wondered when she had developed a fascination with punk culture.

"No matter whom you believe me to be, you've identified the wrong person."

Black Siren shook her head at the realization that this girl had likely mistaken her for someone she knew on this Earth. Then she turned to Stephen. "What do you need me to do?"

"Wait a moment," Stephen said, rising to find clothes to put on. However, Black Siren proactively picked up the clothes and handed them to him.

Once dressed, Stephen turned his attention to his ship, the disciple and speed walk there.

After a while, He returned, and Thea had already left the living room, presumably to take a shower. Laurel tidied up the sofa and stood next to Black Siren.

"My collection room is quite empty. I want you can visit this location and retrieve the contents," Stephen handed Black Siren a piece of paper detailing a location and a plan. "This place is where Argus stores 'special' items. If you're caught, I won't waste my time rescuing you. Also, avoid tampering with the contents without good reason."

Black Siren accepted the paper, examining it carefully before asking cautiously, "Can I arrange for someone to assist? I've recently encountered a skilled thief, and she should be able to help me."

"That's up to you," Stephen replied nonchalantly.

"I'll get to it right away," Black Siren said as she collected the map and prepared to leave.

"Wait!" Stephen suddenly asked, his curiosity drawn to her nose ring. "Is this your only ring?"

Black Siren paused, offering a charming smile. "I have more than just this one. Do you want me to show you?"

"I'll savor the thrill of discovery when you return," Stephen said, his smile light.

With a graceful twist, Black Siren turned and walked away, the sound of her high heels fading.

A little while after Black Siren's departure, a car's engine noise echoed from the outside of the villa.

Curious, Stephen went outside and spotted two black SUVs entering the premises. The vehicles parked in the yard, and several individuals disembarked. Among them was someone he recognized—Laurel Lance's mother, Dinah Lance.

Beside her stood another woman.

This woman was tan-skinned and corpulent, exuding an air of longstanding authority. Dinah Lance stood to her left, while on the right was a casually dressed young woman in jeans and a T-shirt. As the trio got out of the car, the rear door of one SUV opened, and armed soldiers emerged, along with Betty, that bomb girl, around her neck she had distinctive device.

Upon seeing Stephen, Betty's expression turned apologetic.

"Amanda Waller!" The stout woman introduced herself with a toothy smile. "I've been wanting to meet you for a while now, but..."

Before she could finish speaking, a resounding slap interrupted her.

Amanda Waller's smile hadn't even faded when she received the abrupt slap across her face.

The suddenness of the slap left everyone in shock. After a moment, guns were pointed at Stephen.

"What's going on?" Dinah Lance asked, clearly bewildered.

Amanda Waller rubbed her cheek, her surprise turning to irritation. She had learned from various Argus reports that Stephen was elusive, but she hadn't anticipated him slapping her upon their meeting. Didn't he realize the gravity of his situation, with her people having him surrounded?

Her smile vanished, replaced by a cold gaze as she stared at Stephen.

"You had better have a good explanation."

"You look so intimidating, but you're nothing but hot air," Stephen retorted, narrowing his eyes and offering a faint smile. "I've wanted to do that for a while. Ah, it does feel good"

"You...!"

His arrogance was palpable, almost too much so. Amanda Waller was about to deliver an angry response, but before she could, she was slapped again.

Terrified!

Another slap followed, and Amanda Waller found herself sprawled on the ground, seeing stars.

"Moone!" Amanda Waller's voice thundered as she shouted at the slender woman standing beside her. She was well aware of Stephen's danger and couldn't afford to be unprepared.

June Moone was her trump card.

Amanda Waller aimed to let Stephen know that she possessed abilities. "I know you and your power, but I also have some one with powers!"

Nervously, Joan Moone nodded and was about to speak, but suddenly, a potent aura [Bloodlust] emanated from Stephen. It was a palpable sense of dread, as if he could unleash world-ending destruction. It was as though a active volcano had erupted in an instant.

In that moment, several soldiers armed with guns couldn't withstand the pressure and fell to their knees, trembling.

Stephen fixed his cold gaze on Joan Moone, his eyes icy. "Transform and I'll end you."

"You know me!" Joan Moone's legs gave way beneath her as she collapsed to the ground.

"Damn it!"

Seeing Joan Moone terrified by Stephen, Amanda Waller cursed aloud and swiftly took out a remote control button.

"Wait, If you do anything I'll press it, and Betty will die!" Amanda Waller clutched the remote tightly, her voice raised at Stephen.

"Go ahead, press it!" Stephen remained still, his hand extended towards Amanda Waller's throat, ready to strike.

Slap!

A resounding snap echoed.

"You—dare you! I will press it—"

Slap!

Another snap cut her off.

Slap!

"You—do you think I won't? You think I'm bluffing, that I won't press—"

Slap!

"She's ---!"

Slap! Slap! Slap! Slap!

With every utterance, Amanda Waller received a slap from Stephen.

Despite the series of slaps, Amanda Waller refrained from actually pressing the button. However, her swollen face became even more inflamed, her skin taking on a bright crimson hue. Several teeth had been dislodged, and blood trickled from her mouth's corners and nosebleed occurred.

"Stephen, stop this no--!"

Dinah Lance fought against her fear, attempting to halt Stephen. But when she turned her head to meet his gaze, her resolve crumbled. Instantly, the courage she had gathered dissipated, her legs giving way, and she fell to her knees.

"What? Not Gonna Press it. Need my assistance?" Stephen shifted his attention to Amanda Waller, who was holding the remote control. Amanda instinctively withdrew, hiding the remote behind her. "What do you want?"

"If you lack the courage to press it, don't bring it out to tease." Stephen removed his hand from her neck and pointed to June Moone. "You... continue slapping her."

"Me? Me?" June Moone was stunned, disbelieving.

"Dare you!" Amanda Waller's glare was directed at June Moone.

Stephen approached Joan Moone, his voice low as he leaned in to whisper in her ear. "Being threatened by others isn't easy. She's manipulating you through the witch within you. Don't you want revenge? This is a golden opportunity. No matter how displeased she may be, she won't harm you, because you're valuable."

June Moone trembled, her gaze shifting from Stephen to Amanda Waller. She stood up and approached her. "I'm sorry, I... have to."

With that, she raised her hand and moved it toward Amanda Waller.
