Chapter 159 Meet Batman

Chapter 159 Meet Batman

...

Is it useful?

It's useless!

Not to mention Stephen's ability to neutralize Kryptonians, Mind Control alone is enough to render anything ineffective. Lois Lane can attest to this from personal experience.

Observing Stephen's enigmatic smile and General Swanwick's nervous, sweat-beaded face, Lois Lane approached Stephen and gently placed her hand on his arm. Stephen glanced at her, and Lois Lane subtly shook her head while pleading: "Shall we go now?"

"It's not over, is it? You must have a plan for dealing with the Kryptonian corpses, right? And... the female Kryptonian has disappeared. Don't you intend to find her?" Lois implored with a hint of determination in her eyes, fixing her gaze on Stephen. Stephen released General Swanwick with a bright smile.

"Well, after all, I'm a villain. So be it. It's not that easy for me to play the hero role." Stephen let go of General Swanwick and smiled warmly. "The matter is indeed not concluded, you may not die, but I promise you'll regret it!"

"What are you planning to do?" General Swanwick asked instinctively.

Stephen embraced Lois around her waist and soared away with a burst of speed.

General Swanwick paused and turned to observe Superman as he also flew away with a burst of speed.

"Okay, I guess I should leave after witnessing the excitement," Lex Luthor chuckled, turned, and departed.

The surroundings fell into an eerie silence, desolate...

"General," Carol Ferris hesitated.

General Swanwick shook his head. "I'm fine. Let's address the situation first."

Zod's spacecraft was obliterated by splitting the World Engine in two. Although a few smaller ships remained intact, they served little purpose.

To create the ultimate weapon called Doomsday, the nursery room of the Kryptonians, known as the Genesis chamber, was used. Through Kryptonian genetic technology, the remains of Kryptonians could be transformed into the ultimate destroyer: Doomsday. The only well-preserved asset is Superman's Fortress of Solitude.

Though he doesn't know where Superman placed the Fortress, finding it won't be too challenging.

...

Metropolis.

Chaos reigned, with buildings in ruins, abandoned vehicles strewn about, and people in disarray. Some celebrated their survival, while others mourned the loss of friends, colleagues, and loved ones.

Stephen activated his X-ray vision and began searching for Faora's whereabouts.

Scanning the entire metropolis with his extraordinary vision posed no difficulty.

"Running again?"

After completing a thorough scan, he failed to locate Faora. Stephen couldn't help but be surprised. Could Faora have escaped so easily? Despite not finding Faora, he made another discovery. He spotted Bruce Wayne, who was none other than Batman.

In the film, Bruce Wayne's company was destroyed in this incident, resulting in the loss of many innocent employees. This fueled Batman's resentment toward Superman, and under Lex Luthor's manipulations, it led to the battle of Batman vs. Superman.

As of now, Superman and Zod haven't engaged in a battle at all. He wasn't sure if Bruce Wayne would follow a similar path, but it was likely, considering that Superman's existence posed a substantial threat that warranted further investigation.

"Follow me to meet someone," Stephen smirked and walked toward Batman with Lois Lane.

It was unfortunate that he didn't initially encounter Batman in Gotham, but now he was eager to meet him.

"Is that Bruce Wayne?"

Lois Lane was initially curious about whom Stephen wanted to see, but it didn't take her long to spot Bruce Wayne. As a reporter, Lois Lane naturally recognized the prominent figure that was Bruce Wayne.

Before they reached him, Bruce Wayne had already recognized Stephen and Lois Lane. Bruce Wayne happened to be one of the shareholders of the Daily Planet, and he naturally knew Lois. However, when it came to Stephen, he had a deeper connection.

After recovering from the incident where Bane broke his back, Bruce Wayne had returned to Gotham and repeatedly heard Stephen's name. Stephen was the one who had defeated Bane, and both Barbara and Miranda Tate had mentioned him.

Their evaluations of Stephen varied, with Barbara holding a favorable impression. Though she would occasionally complain about him, Bruce Wayne could tell she had a positive view of Stephen.

However, his girlfriend Miranda Tate had a different perspective. Bruce Wayne was acutely aware of what Stephen had done to her and what he had taken away from her. Consequently, upon seeing Stephen, Bruce Wayne's expression darkened.

"Hi, Bruce," Stephen waved his hand and greeted him.

"Hello, Mr. Bruce Wayne," Lois followed up.

Bruce Wayne nodded and asked Stephen, "What brings you here?"

"It's nothing serious; it's rare to see you come over, and please give my regards to your girlfriend while you're at it," Stephen chuckled.

Bruce Wayne's countenance changed slightly, and then he forced a smile. "Sure, I'll pass along your message. We just met; shall we talk?"

"Okay!" Stephen patted Lois. "Dear go rest, I will come find you later." Lois nodded and turned to walk away.

...

Bruce Wayne was still smiling, but his tone became more somber. "Give them back."

He knew that Stephen was aware of his Batman persona.

"That won't work," Stephen smiled and shook his head. "Your girlfriend has such a fantastic body, and I'll take my time to appreciate it when I can."

"You're asking for trouble!" Bruce Wayne clenched his teeth.

"What are you going to kill me? Oh, but you can't, can you?" Stephen earnestly patted Bruce Wayne's shoulder. "If you can't handle it, maybe you should consider a breakup."

Bruce Wayne contemplated taking action, but he realized it wasn't the right move.

He took a deep breath and said, "Don't give me a reason to find one."

"You're good at issuing threats," Stephen nonchalantly dismissed Bruce Wayne's warning and chuckled. "Actually, I'm also pretty skilled in that department too. So, if you don't want your girlfriend to get hurt, I have a proposition."

Stephen paused, directing his gaze towards Lois Lane, who stood not far away. "Just hand over your shares of the Daily Planet."

"You..."

Bruce Wayne glared fiercely at Stephen.

"Don't be like this. After all, your superpower is being rich, and a share of the Daily Planet isn't worth much. Oh, and a little reminder, watch out for Superman!" Stephen continued with a smirk. "Lex Luthor almost conducted a dissection experiment on Superman. If he ever gets dissatisfied, you can only imagine the damage he could cause!"
