Chapter 161 Doomsday

Chapter 161 Doomsday

...

In an unfamiliar location.

Amidst a landscape dominated by ice and snow, the frigid wind howled relentlessly. There was no sight of any color other than the pure, snow-white surroundings.

Within this wintry expanse, a Kryptonian reconnaissance craft, reminiscent of a fortress, sat perched on the frozen terrain.

Boom!

Suddenly, Stephen plummeted from the sky, creating a seismic disturbance that sent snowflakes drifting in all directions.

Gazing at the imposing steel wall ahead, Stephen's body vibrated briefly before he phased through it effortlessly.

...

"You shouldn't have entered," a voice warned.

Startled by the sound, Stephen turned to find a middle-aged man clad in Kryptonian attire standing in a section of the corridor.

"Jor-El! Kal-El's father, right?" Stephen inquired with a smirk. "Care to tell me, Where is the genetic chamber?"

The Jor-El present here was no more than a holographic program housing genetic memories and thoughts, a mere virtual projection. His sole capability was that his program had been integrated into the Fortress of Solitude, granting him control.

"I can't disclose that information, and you shouldn't be here," Jor-El responded, shaking his head.

Stephen smiled wryly. "Why? Do I need to bring Zod's body here and usurp your genetic authority? If you cooperate, I only require access to the genetic chamber. If you don't, I'll destroy the ship and might harm your dear son."

Jor-El fell silent momentarily, then turned slowly.

Stephen raised an eyebrow and followed.

Winding through a labyrinthine passageway, they soon reached a door. Jor-El made a subtle gesture, and the door swung open.

Inside, they were greeted by an array of gene breeding equipment, with numerous branches and empty baby breeding pods suspended among them.

"Separate it. I intend to take it with me," Stephen instructed Jor-El.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Jor-El activated a mechanism, causing the Genetic Chamber's door to close and transform into a mobile vessel, which promptly materialized outside the Fortress of Solitude.

"Goodbye, and give my regards to Kal-El," Stephen waved before leaping into the mobile craft and flying away with it.

...

Upon returning to his central city villa, Stephen disembarked and removed Zod's fingerprints using a Kryptonite dagger. He then reentered the genetic room.

Applying Zod's fingerprint to the genetic room's console, a floating robot approached.

"Hello, General Zod of Kandor City," the mechanical voice intoned.

"Adjust the permissions for the genetic room and add Stephen to the authorization list," Stephen instructed, placing his fingerprints and genetic data.

"Hello, Mr. Stephen."

"Upgrade the genetic room's authority, with Stephen as the highest authority."

"Adjustment completed."

Satisfied with the outcome, Stephen nodded and exited the genetic room.

As he emerged, he spotted Laurie, Thea, and the Black Siren standing nearby.

"Go and retrieve the body of a Kryptonian," Stephen said in a casual tone.

The Black Siren, who was about to approach Laurie, appeared to recall something and took the lead. She swiftly returned with the Kryptonian corpse.

Stephen waved his hand, used Vibe to open a teleportation wormhole.

"Come with me," Stephen instructed, and the Black Siren followed him through the wormhole with the Kryptonian corpse in tow.

 ...

In LexCorp.

CEO Office.

Lex Luthor was awaiting the results of an analysis on his computer. Mercy Graves stood nearby, holding a document and waiting for Lex Luthor's signature.

Suddenly, a teleportation wormhole materialized in the office, prompting Mercy Graves to instinctively block Lex Luthor. Lex looked over with curiosity.

As Stephen and the Black Siren emerged from the wormhole, carrying the Kryptonian corpse, Lex Luthor smiled. He pushed Graves aside and greeted Stephen, "You've finally arrived."

"You knew I was coming?" Stephen inquired with a casual smile. "The bald head suits you."

Lex Luthor touched his bald head and responded with a smile, "Except for you nearly killing General Swanwick, I knew what you'd likely do. Even though I don't know the reason, it seems you've had your eye on me from the start, and it's not just because I'm a genius."

"What do you think is the reason?" Stephen asked with interest.

"The most probable reason is that you know the future, you're aware of Superman's existence, you knew Zod was coming, and you know why I was doing or will do what I do," Lex Luthor confidently replied.

Stephen smiled and remarked, "Bald Lex, you're indeed astute. No wonder the city collector, Brainiac, says you have a ninth-level intellect."

"What about him?" Lex Luthor wasn't surprised by Stephen's acknowledgment but was curious about the "level" and "collector" in the context of the city.

"Oh, he's at level twelve, almost the smartest in the universe."

"That sounds like quite a gap," Lex Luthor noted, then shifted his attention to the Kryptonian's body. "What do you need me to do?"

"Combine your genes with his to create a more formidable and intriguing being. Are you interested?" Stephen asked with a smile.

The combination of words raised eyebrows and perplexed expressions from Graves and the Black Siren. Combining genes with a deceased alien? It seemed rather unconventional, to say the least. Necrophilia?.

However, Lex Luthor remained composed and inquired, "Kryptonians' gene breeding technology is highly advanced. What do you aim to make by merging my genes with his?"

"Doomsday."

"It was initially a failed product of Kryptonian technology. Ugly and malevolent, yet incredibly powerful. It can be considered one of the universe's mightiest biological weapons. Super-regeneration ability, the capability to evolve in response to opponents in battle, and resurrection after death through a unique method."

"Are you interested?"

"Are you planning to destroy the world?" Lex Luthor asked in astonishment.

Stephen shrugged. "That mean, you don't want to?"

"F@ck, why not?" Lex Luthor laughed. "I genuinely hope that humanity can learn from the catastrophes that befall our world. Besides, if you're confident enough to unleash it upon the world, you must be equally confident in resolving it, don't you think?"

Stephen shrugged. "I don't know; that's what I aim to find out."

"So, do you want to replicate Doomsday's abilities?" Lex Luthor inquired.

Replicating the abilities of Doomsday wasn't Stephen's original intent. After all, his own abilities were already quite extraordinary, and he could achieve similar effects through his Infinite stacking Ability.

His goal to create Doomsday purely for amusement, and also to fully embracing the role of a true villain.

...

AN: PS: The Doomsday in the movie is the product of the gene combination of Zod's corpse and Baldly Lex. It is not similar to Comics, Doomsday's in the comics is still infinitely better. It is the strongest biological weapon in the universe along with Darkside's monster-like army.
