Chapter four Life at the villa

She had survived the life at the mansion, though she acted cool and calm, but she promised herself that everything and everyone will get back what they deserved. She became a maid in that house, Joy said she was training her to be a filial wife. Those two weeks were one hell of a life she was supposed to live, even the servants criticized her, except John. Especially the time when that maid called Anita poured hot coffee on her and pretended it was a mistake, she had to run to the hospital for treatment after doing some first aid for herself. The main reason for her going to the hospital was to avoid the burning marks being left on her hands. The doctor said she had to go back after every two days for check up to avoid more damages. When Damian came, the story changed, the maid said she saw Sarah wanting to pour hot coffee on Anna and she hit the coffee cup, to save Anna, which mistakenly poured on Sarah 's hand.

Damian asked her why she wanted to burn Anna, and Sarah did not care to explain at all, because no one would believe her, on that day, Damian said, "I don't spend my money on useless and worthless people," that is after talking to Anna alone for sometimes. Anyway, Sarah did not care because she did not ask for his money.

Now they have been in the new villa for two days, so far, she hasn't seen Anna yet, but she knew that a lot is coming on her way.

And speaking of the devil, Damian walked in with Anna, she entered holding some shopping bags in her hands. 'Why did she enter with the bags here? Is she sleeping here? Sarah thought to herself, she couldn't ask out loud, since she was too lazy to argue with them.

"Oh, hi there Sarah. I didn't know you were at home today." Anna said sarcastically. Sarah did not even bother to look at her. She knew Anna just wanted to make her feel uncomfortable. Where would a lazy girl like her go except to guard the house. She even heard Damian tell his father that he did not want her in the company so as to avoid loss and mistakes.

Sarah just smiled and said, welcome, then stood up and started heading upstairs.

"I apologize if I disturbed you, but Damian insisted that I should come and he would be very bored here alone." she spoke as if she was guilty but to Sarah, she knew Anna was faking it.

"There is no problem, if you like you are welcomed to live here, he is your boyfriend he would not have a problem with that. As you called a while ago, `home' this is not my house, neither do I feel at home, I am just a passersby, don't mind me."

Sarah wanted to go and take a nap for a while and then come and cook something little for herself, she didn't like the food cooked by just anyone. At the mansion, she ate very little because she did not enjoy the meal.

She locked her room whenever she was outside, she did not like it when people invaded her privacy. She went straight to bed, put on her earphones then set an alarm and slowly closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep right away.

After two hours she woke up, washed her face and went to the kitchen downstairs. The house was so quiet, she checked the time, it was almost seven thirty o'clock. Maybe Damian had taken that noisy actress back.

She took some ingredients from the fridge and started preparing a simple dish. After she finished cooking, she served herself and ate at the kitchen counter quietly and still listening to the music. After she was done, she cleared the kitchen and then put the remaining food in the fridge, for late night incase she got hungry. She then went back to her room, switched off the music and started texting.

Damian just came back after sending Anna back to her house, she did not want to go, but Damian insisted that she goes back. If his father learned that Anna slept here, it won't be good.

He looked around and noticed that the place was quiet, as if no one was there. "As usual." he murmured to himself. He walked to the kitchen and found everything as tidy as it was before he left, he had ordered the hourly servants not to cook anything for Sarah, he wanted to see what she will do, "didn't this stupid girl eat anything? Where is this girl from, such a lazy girl how did she survive, because her family is not rich either! "
