Chapter thirty.

Elena and her friends had just gotten out of the elevator, and passed the waiter who had carried a tray full of drinks and opened a private room, "Cassie, do you have a date tonight, you are the one who has delayed us," Becky complained.

"I think she wants to look nice today, do you not know that Vintage club and Bay club are the top three clubs that entertain very important people?" Rita paused and then said, "I saw a handsome young man staring at Kalen a while ago."

"Do not even talk about it. That man who has dark sunglasses? I cannot even differentiate him with his bodyguards," Kalen complained, causing everyone to laugh, "I mean, the club is dark, there is no sun, apart from the blinking club lights that are not even bright, why would he put on dark sunglasses?"

"Maybe it is his style of fashion." Rita chimed in.

"Style of fashion my foot, I mean, there are those people who would look extremely good with it, but him!" Kalen could not finish the rest of the words.

"Just say, he is not your type, I do not see anything wrong with him, apart from that scar on his forehead," Cassie decided to speak up.

"Cassie, is he your type?" Elena could not hold back, "you should have told me earlier, I did not know you are into that type," she shrugged his shoulder, "you know, a gang leader thing. Your taste has really dropped."

Cassie slapped the back of Elena lightly, "he is not my type, and since you know him that well, it seems to me you are more interested in him than me."

Rita chuckled, Kalen made a disgusted face and Becky bent down and pretended to vomit, Elena laughed out loud, "who does not now him, he is the famous son of the Cobra gang," all the others stopped walking except Rita and Elena who continued walking without care.

They arrived at their room and Elena walked in while Rita turned around and looked at the three who were left behind, "are you ladies not coming in?" The three, who were frozen, quickly moved forward and entered the room in a fast pace.

"What is wrong, have you girls never heard of a gang before? Or have you never seen one before?" Elena asked.

"No, it is just that earlier today, I met him at the mall after leaving your office and he started flirting with me to the extent of spanking me," Kalen sat down, wiped the non existent sweat from her forehead and then continued to explain, "you know how irritating it is to be spanked, especially by a stranger and in a public place," she rubbed her thighs thoroughly and said, "so, I hit him with my bag and then slapped his face twice, and to make matters worse I cursed him and stepped on his foot!"

"Do not worry, your brother is a general in the army, and your friend Elena is also skilled. I believe you learned martial arts because if you went to Star Arts and Entertainment University, fighting should be your second hobby," after said the last part, everyone turned to look at Elena.

"What?" She asked.

"I mean, do you enjoy fighting that much?" Cassie asked her.

"In this world we are living, people are like animals and even worse than them. For example, if you become a top A list actress and you have a beef with your coworker, some will treat it lightly while some will take it to the next level, and if you cannot even defend yourself from a stupid gang or thief, you end up on the news." Elena explained.

Then they turned to look at Becky, "why did you freeze when you heard about him?"

"I just have a trauma with these people, my friend Bela dated one of the sons of the gang leader and ended up dying not long after and because I was a witness they have been hunting me down, but the good thing is that they only know my first name, and they do not know how I look like," she took a sip from the wine that the waiter had already poured for them, "I ended up searching for a hacker to erase all the information about me or any pictures of me and Bela."

"Wow, girl, you are in too deep." Kalen said, she stopped the waiter from pouring her wine and pointed at a bottle of vodka, "I would like that," after that, "have you reported to the police and get a witness protection?"

"No, she cannot go to the police, it will be more like giving her identity out to the gang," Elena spoke up for Becky.

Becky nodded vigorously, "at first, I had planned to go to the police, but then, I saw the one who Bela was dating speaking to them."

Kalen looked at Cassie, "and you, what grudge do you have with them? Your face seemed paler than the theirs."

Cassie could not find the words to explain, "I am a victim too," she turned to Becky, "the Bela you are talking about, did she have a birthmark at the back of her neck?" After Becky nodded to confirm, Cassie shivered and with tears starting to flow down her cheeks, she said, "we were both locked in the same room and Bela sacrificed herself to let me escape, she was even the one who scratched that man's face."

"Wait," the confused Kalen could not understand, "how did you become a witness if you were not there?"

"I received a message and a direction on my email, the sender had told me to come to the place and take my friend. When I arrived, I saw a figure running in an opposite direction," she also started crying, "at first, I thought it was Bela, when I was about to run to her, I saw another figure coming out and running to another direction and that was when I noticed it was Bela," she sniffed, "before she could even reach the fence, she was shot and I ended up screaming catching their attention, they started chasing after me. I did my best to loose them and parked my car in a dark underground of Way Mall and then took a taxi."

"So, it is from bad to worse to worst," Kalen said pointing at herself then to Becky and lastly Cassie. Elena stood up and followed the waiter who was leaving the room, and after a minute she came back, "I thought you went to the washrooms."

"No, I had gone to sedate that waiter and wipe his recent memories. Yours stories are too dangerous for someone like a waiter to know." Elena concluded, "we came out for a girls night, and Rita did not let us down, she cannot miss booking a Karaoke room, so why not let our guard down and drop all of our sorrows tonight and have a little fun, then tomorrow we can know how to go about it!"

Rita took the vodka and poured a shot for everyone, "we should keep wine for later after we get drunk, but right now, let us all cheer to coming back together," she said, raising her glass high.

Becky followed suit and said, "and to revenge."

Clinking their glasses together, they all said, to revenge and gulped down the shot, and it went on like that, "Elena how about you sing for us one song," Cassie scratched her head trying to remember the name of the song, and once she had figured it out, "the one, 'it shall be washed away.'
