: Chapter 11

It was almost sunset. The sky was now getting dark. I look around and see a black shadow behind a tree but when I take a closer look I don't see it anymore.

'What was that,' I ask myself.

"I don't feel safe," I tell Blake who was walking in front of me.

"Come here," he says extending his hand.

I walk to his side and he puts his arm over my shoulders, "Better?," he asks me.

I nod slowly though the feeling was still there. We keep on walking and it seemed like we were walking in circles.

"Wait," I say grabbing him by the arm.

"What happened?," he asks me.

I stare at a strangely shaped stone. "Is it me or are we walking in circles?," I ask.

"No," he replies, "I have also noticed that every time we took a turn that silver stone is always there".

I think for a minute, "Wait," I whisper, "The stone is silver and if you look up close it doesn't seem like a stone. It's like it has...," I continue whispering.

"Fur!," Blake shouts.

We look at each other and I knew we were having the same thought -we had to run.

"Run back to the pack house!," Blake shouts as we watch the strange stone turn into a huge silver wolf.

"What about you?," I ask him.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. I'm also a wolf, an alpha, your alpha," he assures me.

"I'm going nowhere without you!" I tell him, "You think too highly of yourself, you think you can take down that thing alone!," I shout at him.

"So who is if not me? You? Stop being stubborn and run," he yells at me.

"Stubborn!? Who's the stubborn one here?," I yell back, "I'm your Luna, you're my alpha. I will be by your side til death do us part Blake".

"Yo...you actually agreed to be my Luna," he stutters with his eyes wide open in disbelief.

"Shut up. If we are fighting, we fight together, if we are running away, we run together and if we are going to die, we die together," I tell him.

"Damn, can't believe you're saying all this," he says glaring at the silver wolf which was now charging at him.

He runs to it and disappears into thin air. The last thing I hear is 'Stay away'. I see a wolf which was a bit smaller than the silver wolf. Its fur shiny black with aquamarine colored moon on his forehead just like Blake's.

'Blake? Is that really him? Damn' I say in my mind.

I watch him fight the silver wolf, giving each other turns to attack. I see blood coming out from the corner of Blake's mouth.

"Blake!," I whisper.

He hits the silver wolf knocking it down. He runs up to me and signals me to get on his back. I hope on and he sprints down the forests jumping over bushes, dodging trees and huge stones. Behind us the silver wolf was chasing us in a distance.

"Are you okay?," I ask but he avoids my question. "How are we going to escape from that thing?," I ask again.

'If you weren't stubborn you would have been safe,' his voice echoes in my head.

"Well if you hadn't dragged me into the forest, we wouldn't be in this mess," I tell him.

'I wanted you to stay away from Brooke plus I wanted some alone time alone with my Luna,' he says.

"Whatever," I whisper.

We run for some more minutes and from a car I could now spot the pack house.

"Wait," I whisper, "If we go there, aren't we putting the others in danger," I ask.

'Good point, run and get help, I'll try to distract it'.

"You..," I murmur.

'Go don't worry, I'll be okay,' he says slowing down.

"Fine! But..," I say before he cuts me off.

'Go, he's coming, I can smell him,' he tells me.

I run as fast as I can to the pack house. I enter the main room as I shout, "Mom...Dad," I couldn't stop the tears in my eyes from coming out. "B..B..B..Blake, a..silver wolf, fight. H..H..Help!," I say.

"Lu, sweetie, breath the speak," mother instruct me.

I breath in and out but I didn't want to delay Blake. "Blake is in danger!," I shout, "Help!".

I run out as the others follow behind me. We run to where Blake was and I freeze with terror. Blake was lying on the ground his black fur was now tinted red. He had scars everywhere but the silver wolf was nowhere to be seen -it was gone, just leaving behind a note that said: 'This is just the beginning'.

"Blake!" I shout running to him, "Blake, wake up, please, open your eyes. You are strong, you're an alpha, my alpha. Wake up! You promised you'd be fine".

"Go inform the pack doctor, hurry!," Bloom instructs the others, "Someone go get a sheet we need him to shift back and inform dad," she continues.

There was tension in the air, everyone was running to and fro. The man from last time, who I think is Blake's father, made him shift back to his human form and they carried him back to the pack house.

"Will he be okay?," I ask Brooke.

He puts his hand on my shoulder and assures me, "Don't worry. Blake is a strong guy".

I couldn't help but worry about him. Night approaches and mom tries to persuade me to go back home but I refused -I wanted to stay by Blake's side till he had recovered.
