Chapter 37

We arrive home and I silently get out of the car. We silently take our bags and go inside. No one talked to the other. We enter the house and when Liana sees me her face lights up and a smile appears on her face. "Luna!" she screams running at me.

I put my bags down knowing I was going to fall. She comes to me and gives me a big hug causing me to fall back. "I missed you, Luna," she whispers.

"I missed you too Liana," I reply putting my arms around her.

She gets off me and helps me stand up. "How is the new school, I heard there are hot witches there," she says with a mischievous look on her face.

"You haven't changed at all, have you?" I say, "Don't you have a mate?".

"Correction, I have changed I can now defend myself," she says in a proud tone as she lifts her head proudly.

"I heard you finally said something to that ass of a child," I say.

"Yep, and it felt good," she says.

"I want to hear everything," I say.

"Sure but first let's get you to your room. I cleaned it for you. Then we will go see mom and dad and Nana. Then I will tell you everything," she quickly says everything.

"Woah, still talkative I see," I say.

We laugh as she helps me carry my bags. I look back to see a depressed Blake just standing there. I felt guilty for all the words I had said to him. 'Sorry,' I tell him through mind link, 'I...I was too skeptical of the words I was saying'.

He looks at me and gives me a slight smile, 'I understand Luna, you are having a tough time,' he says.

I whisper to Liana telling her we are leaving Blake alone unattended. "Come on brother-in-law. Don't just stand there like a statue," she yells.

He picks up his bags and follows us upstairs.

We settle and I decide to take a little shower before going downstairs to meet the others. I grab my bath gown and go inside the bathroom.

After the shower, I wear my pajamas and go out. I walk to the stairs and meet up with Blake. I smile at him and it seems like it makes him feel at ease. We go downstairs to the dining table. Mother was seated at her usual place next to father. Nana was seated across from mother and next to Nana was Liana. I go sit beside mother who stands up and gives me a big hug. I sit down and Blake sits next to me.

"Ah, Luna, you're back," father says, "How is your new school?" he asks.

"It's okay. I made really great friends," I tell him.

I look at Liana who was staring at my neck in shock and then looks at me smirking. She raises her eyebrows up and down as she smirks at me. She was...teasing me. I roll my eyes at her and continue talking to dad. I could catch him glaring at Blake here and there, but I don't think it bothered him that much. He was talking to Liana and Nana. I finally get the curiosity to ask her who her mate is and when I'll meet him.

"Oh Luna, you have met him," she tells me.

"Really? Did I learn with him?" I ask then remember Zane had said he was a newbie, "Right, he's new".

"It's Blake's twin, Brooke," she finally tells me and my fork falls back onto my plate.

I look at her and then at Blake who had the same expression on his face. "Brooke?" we both ask her.

She giggles and nods, "Yes, Brooke".

I couldn't believe it. We were now sisters-in-law and sisters at the same time.

"Wow, didn't expect that," I whisper.

"I know," Blake replies.

"At least he's not an asshole," I say.

Mom coughs and says, "Luna, language, please".

I roll my eyes and ignore what she said. I was still angry at her tho. "Where is he?" I ask.

"Right across the street," she replies pointing outside.

"Oh," I say, "That reminds me, don't we need to go see your parents Blake?" I ask him.

"Yeah, we do," he replies.

I stand up with my plate in my hands and I go to the kitchen. Blake follows and we say our goodbyes to mom and dad before we head to meet Blake's family. "I don't want to go in first," he says.

"Why?" I ask.

"Luke and Kay," he whispers.

"You're afraid of kids," I say as I let out a laugh.

"Hey, you've never been through what I've been through," he says, "You go in first then".

"Okay," I reply.

I knew what was going to happen next so I used one of the magic tricks I had learned from the book Sabrina had given me. I walk in and keep the bucket from falling on me. I look at Blake and tell him nothing's wrong. He looked confused and walked in looking up. Exactly when he stepped on the spot where the bucket was meant to fall I let it fall on him and I burst out laughing.

"Luna! You too!" he yells angrily.

Luke and Kay come out laughing their lungs out. "Good one," Kay says giving me a high-five.

"Learnt from the best," I say as we continue laughing.

"Haha very funny. Wait until I catch the three of you," he says removing the bucket from his head.

"Really?" I say, "Try it".

I challenge him and I see a smirk on his face. Luke and Kay run away and Blake stares at me as if trying to study my moves. He launches at me and I dodge as quickly as possible, thanks to my vampire powers. He looks at me shocked and he tries again. Every attempt was a failure. He starts chasing me and I run as fast as possible losing him in seconds. I find myself in the back garden and minutes later Blake comes panting.

"How....did...you start...running like that?" he asks.

"Magic," I say.

"Mom and dad are looking for you," he tells me and begins to walk back in.

"Okay," I say and I run to his side.

As we walk he holds me tight and carries me back to the garden. There was a puddle of mud there and I knew what he was about I do. "Don't You Dare," I say.

"Watch me," he says.

He throws me in the mud and grabs the hose and starts pouring water on me.

"Oh you didn't," I whisper.

I flip my hand and he comes falling in the mud too. I start controlling the hose with my eyes as I had learned and I pour the water on him. I stand up and shake the dirt off me. I snap my finger and I'm wearing new clothes.

I stop the hose and Blake sits there looking at me. "How do you do that?" he asks.

"My vampire powers," I tell him.

"Oh," he says looking down as his expression changes. He looks dismal now.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"That explains you no more feeling Minsi," he says.

"What do you mean by that?" I ask him.

"You have been improving your vampire powers and your werewolf genes are being overpowered and soon you will lose Minsi," he explains.

I was going to lose Minsi? This was too much to take in.

I pass out.
