The Morning Shock

The whole room was dark and cozy, just what Nivritti needed. Her medicine was working wonders. There was no dream, no nightmares, not even flashes of blurry picture in her mind. What she wanted, she got it, a peaceful night.

Her phone chimed once in the middle of the night, but she was too deep in her sleep. Comfortably tucked inside her blanket, she was floating calmly and quietly in sleepville. The medicine switched off her brain for the night.

Even in the morning, the sunlight tried to find even a small gap to enter her room to wake up, but she had closed all her curtains and tucked them into every little corner so that the room would be dark even during the day and she could sleep peacefully till late.
