Chapter 32: The bets begin

sophie was shocked by the sudden question, she quickly tried to free her hand silently but max held on tight, helpless she responded to lily

" nothing, it's just that you are blushing "

lily just looked at her suspiciously before deciding not to respond and just let it go, after all it was nothing of big concern she was just a bit curious

seeing that lily had turned her attention away and that the other people in the group did not notice or pay too much attention to her sophie was relieved

max was gripping onto her hand, their fingers intertwined he felt happy that she had give in and let him hold her, after lily turned away he could feel her resistance die down accepting her fate.

wayne looked reluctant " no no i don't, you always do this. no more bets how am i even supposed to win " he said quickly

" how about you fight her then " henry said speaking about wayne fighting sophie

" oh my god, we got max here now there is no need to pick on me. we all know that my ability has no combat value, like zero so leave me out of this "

" exactly, your ability has zero combat value so that means you need more training to make sure you don't die easily " sophie added

" i will not die, if anyone needs to practice so they won't die it will have to be Mr butler over here"

sophie looked at max, thinking about how he almost had her discovered by lily and put her in such a uncomfortable situation she felt that he needed to be taught a lesson

even if he could not, he could at least give the surrounding people into the game and take this chance to make some quick cash

" play, bet and set it up big. then i flip the coin then, voila we have money " wayne said with pride

max then realized, wayne can't lose with his ability he can just flip the coin to know which side will bring him good or bad luck then bet against it.
