Two days later, since, Hanji, Levi and Pixis left, Shen was made the Supervising Commander. He assigned members for a venture outside the walls, however, he won't join them. Everyone was scared and didn't want to go, however, they can not deny the "Nature's Warrior' right?

So at the end, they were forced to leave. Every soldier was worried and scared for their life. They didn't take their training seriously ever since Shen joined, which resulted them in doing many careless mistakes.

However, Vine, who joined as well was directly trained by Shen, so she was hardly making any mistake. It was more like she was on a killing spree.

After killing a few Titans, she saw one of the soldiers got caught. She went near the Titan who was about to eat him. However, the soldier was still trying to fight hard, instead of giving up.

The moment the Titan's teeth were about to touch the soldier, they stopped.

"You all have passed soldiers!" a voice like Shen's announced.

The soldier looked at the source of the voice, along with everyone present on the ground.

"You have shown that one should never give up, even if you are about to die." Shen said to the soldier, while he was holding the upper jaw of the Titan while standing in his mouth. "Don't worry. You won't die today. No one will." Shen said, then kicked the soldier out of the Titan's mouth and jumped to its belly.

"Warrior's right. We won't die here. Not like this. Not here. Not today." The soldier screamed. Hearing his scream, every other soldier was energized, and started attacking the Titans with more aggression, defeating them more ferociously.

Suddenly, the Titan who ate Shen exploded in pieces, allowing Shen to come out.

"Gross." he said.

Vine scanned him from top to bottom, to notice he still was wearing her gifted scarf. She smiled to herself, and then went near him to aid him.

"Everyone. Start training seriously, a war is coming. And it would be more deadly. So be prepared." Shen said before leaving with Vine.

"Yes sir!" everyone screamed in unison, then resumed slaying Titans.
