Battle

The four-wheel-drive military vehicles came and went without stopping. They quickly rushed to the front gate area and the two lights in front of the vehicles were like needles probing into the darkness.

Magnus clenched the rifle in his hands, and as the sound of the gate opening in front of the military vehicle became clearer, his heartbeat and adrenaline continued to rise.

"I don't seem to be afraid, but vaguely excited?" Magnus murmured to himself. He had gained many abilities that helped him deal with negative emotions and kept his mental state at optimal condition.

'Forget it; let's not divert my attention and focus on the task at hand."

Magnus's eyes fell on the supply vehicle,

Magnus hesitated for a moment, but then, with a determined heart, he started shooting. A sudden burst of intense gunfire broke out. After the driver of the military vehicle let out a scream, the vehicle swayed violently and slammed into some obstacles, which stopped it.

"Enemy attack!"

Magnus reaction was extremely fast, and his body was immediately tense. He quietly squatted down against the back wall of the car compartment with a gun and raised his ears to listen to the sounds outside.

'tap tap'

His eyes seemed to glisten a light green as he held the gun in his right hand and quietly lifted his left hand into the air.

"Be careful; go take a look."

"Don't let your guard down."

The two soldiers were whispering in German and trotted closer to the rear compartment of the military vehicle, covered by a green awning. Just as they were about to open the door using a rifle with its bayonet end, a black and rounded ball appeared. These metal objects were thrown out from the inside.

"Hide, it's a grenade!"

"Lie down!"

As soon as their words fell, the bodies of the two Hydra soldiers in front were directly torn apart by the bombing. As the gravel and flesh splashed the ground in the night, a figure rushed out of the rear compartment of the car.

"There are enemies ahead!" The remaining three German soldiers, who were on guard not far away, shouted. The area behind the car erupted in fire. They fired bullets, hitting the areas where their fellow soldiers lay.

"He's way too fast!"

Under the cover of night and high-explosive grenades, they didn't have time to see Magnus at all. By the time they reacted and looked for it, Magnus counterattack had already begun.

"Bang!"

High gunshots sounded from the darkness, and a Hydra soldier at the front was shot directly in the middle of his eyebrows by the bullet. The blood and brain matter splashed back on the other two Hydra soldiers.

The two soldiers were too frightened to confirm the direction of the shooter, and then two more shots sounded.

No more, no less—all adding up to exactly three shots—the sound of the gunshots was like a decree of death, and the remaining Hydra soldiers soon also became corpses lying on the ground.

"Not bad." Magnus came out from behind a tree in the night and glanced at the bodies of the soldiers who fell in a pool of blood.

While he was just rushing out from the back of the car just now, Magnus glanced to confirm the position of the enemy and waited for the first wave of fierce bullets to stop before shooting accurately with his gun.

The first real battle of his in this new life, a one-on-five without any serious injury, was perfect.

"This is my first time trying to kill someone in this life." Magnus looked at a nearby corpse of a Hydra soldier, its eyes wide open.

He was not confused, after killing someone, as he did when he killed for the first time in his previous life, he only felt that he was now in a situation where he had to try harder to survive. There was neither joy nor sorrow on his face, just a calm expression.

Magnus thought that he would at least feel a little dizzy after experiencing his first murder in this life, coupled with the extremely bloody scene in front of him.

'I'm just here for myself. And on the premise of being able to live in this world, I must stand firm and achieve something no one else has attempted.' Magnus thought.

After the short battle with more than 25 Hydra soldiers.

Magnus sat in a dirt pit with a tired face; his body was covered with blood and mud, and the experience of this night was something unprecedented.

Although he has the skill level of a sharpshooter, a bullet can take anyone's life, but the harsh living environment of the battlefield, coupled with the continuous influx of enemy soldiers, has given him a huge pressure of death.

Just like a tug-of-war against death, a body will be under constant tension, and as long as it becomes a little loose, the enemy's bullets may open a bloody hole in any part of the body.

This is the definition of war!

It was not until all the Hydra soldiers were dead that Magnus threw away his firearm with a red barrel on the ground; it was his rifle that was sizzling with smoke and was going to be scrapped after completing his mission.

1st POV

After killing all the Hydra soldiers, I started walking and entered the base, then continued walking and left the base through a secret tunnel. Although it was a secret tunnel, it is not a secret to me.

Because I had already gone on a stealth mission and stolen some information about this base, it was encrypted with a tough code for ordinary people or even some experts, but it was not for me because

I already knew many languages and had the skill [Language Expert] available to crack it easily. I was here on a mission—a particular item that I needed to go into space. Fortunately, it was under Hydra, so I don't have any scruples about killing them.

This helped me a lot, as I not only gained the item I needed but also got into my form of killing once again.
