 It's been seven days since I decided to get us out of here and nothing.

 That's because in the early years when we had to blend in with the humans and others so as not to be discovered, the Ancestors gave up immortality to be able to walk in the sun. It's only the royal family, descendants of the Ancestors, that can walk in the sun and still have immortality.
