The Debt

Alpha Kai Point Of View

"ALASKA!" I growl. I do not want my mate to be in pain or scared. I have to protect her.

I begin running toward her. Wolves surround her, circling her. They are growling and howling. I grab one wolf and throw him behind me. He hits the ground, making a thumping noise and howling out in pain. I will kill them all.

I growl deeper as I stand in front of Alaska. "She is my mate. Back off now," I growl at the wolves.

The wolves start backing away as another more enormous wolf comes toward me. He is clicking his tongue and looking at Alaska. He thinks he is in control, but he is not. I will crush him.

"Perhaps you were unaware that Alaska and her family owe my family a great debt," the wolf says as he moves closer.

I growl, pushing Alaska behind me to protect her. I am the Alpha, and I will kill them all. "I do not care. Alaska is my mate, and I have marked her to be my LUNA!" I growl.

The wolf moves closer to me. The other wolves back away. "Perhaps we can come to some sort of understanding, Alpha. Perhaps the bitch could give us what she owes us first, and then you can have the leftovers," the wolf says.

His words infuriate me. I leap onto him. I hear my wolves howling as I pound the wolf into the ground. My Omega's and a few Beta Warriors did not go on the trip with Beta Finn. Those wolves heard my growl and came to help.

My wolves circle the wolves, waiting for my word to attack the wolves. "KILL THEM ALL!" I growl!

My wolves begin to take apart the other wolves, piece by piece. I slash into the wolf that infuriated me until he is not moving. I stand over him with his blood covering my paws. My wolves are growling as they take the other wolves apart. They erupt into a victorious howl as Alaska moves toward me. She is afraid. I hope not of me.

I look at Alaska. "What kind of trouble are you in, missy?" I ask her as I wipe some blood off my paws and return to my human form.

Alaska looks down, and then her eyes slowly look up at me. She seems upset and worried. "I told you. They will never stop. They want me to give them a child with Beta Finn. My family owes the Larringer Wolves a child," Alaska says. Her eyes are filling with tears.

I reach for her, pulling her into my arms. "I promise to take care of you, Alaska. There is nothing to worry about now," I say to her.

The other wolves are looking at me as I hold Alaska. I am sure they are wondering what the hell is going on right now. I look down at Alaska and then at my wolves. I have to tell them, so they understand why I am here. It will get out soon anyway. I wanted to tell Beta Finn first, but it does not look like that is the way this will go down after all.

"Alaska is my mate," I say. My wolves look a little shocked. This is not something I ever thought would happen. I did not want a mate, but something about her made me want to be with her. I know it is the right thing to do. I know I have to have her.

"I thought she was married to Beta Finn," Julie questions me. Julie crosses her arms and looks at me, concerned.

"No, they are not married. I have marked Alaska as my mate, and I plan to marry her," I say.

Alaska looks up at me. She is shocked. "You plan to marry me, now. Even after all of this?" she asks me, looking around at all the chaos.

"Yes, you are my mate, and I plan to take care of you. I will handle the Larringer wolves," I say.

My wolves come up to Alaska, smiling and happy. Each of the wolves hugs her and tells her how happy they are. I never thought me having a mate was something that my wolves were concerned about, but I guess it was.

"Hey, Alpha," Julie says. I turn to look at her.

"Yes, Julie," I say.

She touches my shoulder. "I am happy for you. Beta Finn is not going to be happy, and whoever these wolves belong to are not going to be happy, but I am positive the pack will back you and Alaska," Julie says.

I smile at her. "I think this is going to be a lot to deal with, but I have always been good at negotiating, " I say as I look at the bodies of bloody wolves everywhere.

"Help me," a tiny voice howls.

I walk over to the bodies of the Larringer wolves. There is one wolf still alive. "Get him up, heal him and send him back to his pack with a message to leave Alaska alone or we will kill them all," I say.

Two of my Beta and one female Omega rush over to get the wolf up and take care of him. I watch as the wolves hold the small Larringer wolf up. He looks over at me and smiles. "They will come for you. They will kill you and every member of your pack until that bitch comes back with us," the small wolf says.

"On second thought, he deserves to die too," I growl.

Before I can attack, Alaska rushes over to the small wolf. She begins hitting the wolf hard in the face, the stomach, and anywhere she can land a punch. "Die, you bastard, DIE!" she screams and cries out.

I grab Alaska and pull her toward me. "Stop," I say as I take her into my arms.

I look over at Julie. "Kill him," I say—no mercy for someone who wants to do Alaska harm.
