The Infected Town I

Freya patiently followed the commander until the two of them reached the glowing barrier that surrounded Laketown. At the barrier, the commander turned to look at her, and spoke, “I don’t think I need to remind you, but just in case, make sure you are not scratched or bit by the infected. Otherwise, we won’t allow you outside. We still aren't sure of the mode of infection, but be careful.”

“The source of infection is suspected to be the house of the town alchemist. It’s located in the very center of the town.” He continued, “Your task is only to find any research documents you find in there, and return safely. Avoid the infected as much as possible.”

“And also if you managed to find anything about the other adventurers, it would be greatly appreciated.”

Finally, the commander turned towards the barrier and pulled out a seal from his pocket. Freya instantly sensed a faint emission mana from the seal, marking it as a magic item.
