“So, the attribute enhances the power of the spell, without using additional mana?” Freya asked her partner, “Then how does it achieve this? Surely, there must be a cost?”
“Of course, there is. Applying an attribute to even a lower circle spell needs the mage to expend mental energy. The more you use it, the more tired your mind gets. That is why you must be very careful when using attribute enhanced magic spells.” The ancient mage explained with a calm tone.
“So, I have to choose an attribute for each element?”
Art nodded at her question, “Yes, but remember once you choose it, it cannot be changed. So, choose wisely.”
“I would be easier to select attributes that blatantly describe the elements. Like burning for fire, or freezing for ice. They are the easiest to manifest, and require the lowest amount of mental power.”
