I just don't understand some trainers at times, I mean the kid brought a flying type to the one electric type gym in the whole region. Well, his circumstances are different though, but I would at least remember a typing disadvantage. It's public knowledge that flying is weak to electric.
The only thing not public information yet are fairy types and maybe ghosts as you can't really guess their weaknesses.

Entering the gym, I immediately spot two people in front of the entrance.
"Hey boss, it seems to be your lucky day." a man snickers
"Another chump wants to battle you." a woman says right after
Ignoring the two, I spot a giant clocking in at the height of 8ft behind the two, starting to stand up.
"It looks like I get to get back to back fights guys, the last trainer didn't get last too long against my Raichu." He says laughing
'Well, thanks for the info I guess.' I grin
"Lets get a move on into the gym now, I want to finish up this battle right now." Lt. Surge says as he makes his way to the opposite side of the arena.
Heading over to the battling area, I start to look at my surroundings at it looks familiar. They didn't show off this gym much untill Pokemon Journeys, so this gym looks pretty similar to how they designed it in the future.
They are just missing a front desk, I mean it's not like the man needs it anyways. He just battles anyone that comes along to challenge them and send them packing.
"Okay kid choose your Pokemon." Lt. Surge says as he throws a Poke ball.
"Raichu!"
Seeing the Raichu, I first scanned his Pokemon.

Ability: Static (When hit with a physical move there's a chance for the opponent to be paralysed)
Basic Information: This Raichu, is well trained and has seemed to have been fed some of the best resources and has grown to the best it possibly can, It's currently still trying to stabilise its condition as there is still energy swirling around itself. It's 1.4 times the size of the average Raichu in the wild.]

Its stats are complete bull. It's level 30 which is amazing in itself with decent stats overall, but its move pool is complete garbage. I mean what is this guy gonna do when someone uses their brain and brings a ground type?
Use Slam?
Well, that was exactly what he spammed against Ash and co anyways.
'Has this man not seen a single ground type' I groan
Taking out Onix's Poke Ball, I sent him out.
"Onix!"
Crystal Onix using Intimidate, starts to secretly without anyone knowing, lower the morale of Raichu just before battle.
"The Pokemon battle may begin, only one Pokemon will be used. The gym leader Lt. Surge has chosen Raichu, while the opposing trainer Colson chooses Onix.
There's no time limit, let the battle begin!" a voice says through the speakers of the gym
"Onix, Rock throw!"
"Raichu, agility."
Crystal Onix, quickly making use of the rocky field in an electric type gym, hits the ground with its tail and starts to hurl rocks by hitting the rocks with its tail sending them at fast speeds with precise aim.
Raichu not wanting to get hit uses agility dodging most of the rocks until the fourth one hits the side of its body, making it slow down.
"Onix, Rock Polish."
"Raichu, use slam!"
Onix using Raichu's injured state to its advantage quickly uses Rock Polish as Raichu gets in close and Slams itself against Onix dealing a minimal amount of damage.
"Onix, Dragon tail!"
"Quick Raichu, use agility!" Lt. Surge shouts
Unfortunately for Raichu however, because of the Rock Polish and its own injuries, Onix can now out speed the Raichu. Onix quickly doing a little spin, quickly slams its tail full of dragon energy against Raichu sending it down to the ground.
"Onix, finish this with Head Smash!" I shout
Lt. Surge, now speechless can only watch as his Raichu gets pummelled to the ground by Onix's Head Smash.
'That Raichu might be dead man.' I snicker to myself
Onix, now finished letting out its anger starts to leave Raichu alone. Exposing a fainted overgrown mouse with swirls in its eyes.
"Winner. Colson from Pallet Town!" The voice from the speakers announces
While everyone was still in a state of surprise, I retrieved Onix and went to the man who was supposed to be at the front desk and took my third gym badge and made my way out of the gym.
'Oh that was gold, a four level difference but because of how bad his move pool is he couldn't do anything against Raich.'
Now with a gym badge in hand, I start to head to the Pokecentre to heal my Onix.
I'm honestly not sure how Ash won his gym badge against Lt. Surge. In the anime apparently Surge's Raichu wasn't able to use Lightning attacks after a while because of it being tired.
So it might have been only doing back to back battles this whole time. That would make sense seeing that his Raichu's Core Potency was way higher than the capacity, which isn't exactly ideal, but to be fair. The Raichu was still absorbing some resources while fighting.
Not like it would have made a difference anyways.
Entering the Pokecentre, I head over to the front counter where Nurse Joy is and get my Pokemon healed after getting a surprised look after everyone when I showed off my gym badge.
I spent the rest of the day texting Gary as he is currently catching a Magmar, which is a Pokemon I cant seem to remember.
