Meeting the Vixen Count

Ash along with others returned to the County after several hours. Since others were in no position to ask for reward, Ash went to the knight captain Borg and asked for the reward for three of them.

"Here's your reward. A total of 300000 gold and 500 diamonds" said Borg. "Thank you very much." said Ash smiling at the reward.

"One more thing. The Vixen Count Axel Vixen wishes to meet you." said Borg. Ash lifted one of his eyebrows of captain's words.

He smelled something troubling about what is about to happen, so he decided to enquiry much more.

"Why does he want to meet me? There are many adventurers who have participated in this dungeon break. He could have asked for them right?

"Well, it has nothing to do with the dungeon break. He is interested in you for some reason." said Borg.

"Look, if it is regarding any political nonsense, then please keep it away from me." Ash openly said those words.

"I do not know what he wishes to speak about, but we are obliged to bring you to him." said Borg bowing to Ash.

It is a tactic knight is using to put Ash in an awkward position. Ash is not even moved by his words and actions as this is the best way to fall into a trap.

Ash looked at Quinn and Rose. They both looked at him with a grin and gave their approval with a slight nod.

"Very well, when would I have to meet the Count?" asked Ash.

"In an hour, since Count is in a meeting with Viscount Erik." said Borg.

Ash widened his eyes on hearing the words "Viscount Erik" because he was a war hero and a commoner who rose to this position with efforts.

He is one of the examples that noble blood means nothing since Commoners can rise in ranks too with effort and willpower.

"I understand." said Ash and went back to Quinn and Rose who were being healed by the healers. Raven went to report about the dungeon break to the Count.

Ash decided to be careful because the reason any of the aristocrats call people like him to them is to use them and dispose of them when they are done using.

Ash decided to stand his ground because he is not a pushover. He is a free man and does whatever he wants to do.

He gave 100000 gold and 166 diamonds each to Quinn and Rose. They went to buy armor and supplies for the journey.

Ash laid on the bed in a room he was give and decided to do the thing he should have done a long time ago.

"System, open the shop." said Ash.

"Yes, host." said the system and opened the shop.

"He scrolled through the skills section and finally came across two teleportation skills.

[Anti Rune Teleportation]- 40000 gold

The teleportation skill is a short range teleportation skill, but it is immune to runes to affect this skill. It can allow 10 people to teleport with you

[Continental teleportation]-65000 gold

The teleportation skill is a skill which enables teleportation across continents, but runes affect this skill. It can allow ten people to teleport with you.

The two are a delight to Ash's eyes so he decided to buy both of them using the rewards he got.

Ash closed the window and slept for an hour. He woke up after an hour and asked Quinn and Rose to stand by in the Inn.

One of the knights in the County came and took Ash in a carriage to the Vixen Count. They arrived at the mansion in 15 minutes.

Ash saw the mansion made of white marble which reminded him of Taj Mahal in his world without any domes.

The knights escorted him to Count's room. The knight knocked when a voice came from inside "Who is it?"

"My Lord, we have brought Mr. Ash as you requested." said the knight.

"Okay, let him in." said the voice.

"Pardon" said Ash and entered.

As soon as he entered Ash surveyed the room and found runes embedded all over it. The room was decorated with red and orange carpets. He saw a antler's head on the wall.

"Welcome, Ash Randell or should I call you Ash Sullivan" said Axel Vixen.

Ash could hear the sarcasm in his voice and contempt in his voice.

Ash has already heard rumors' about Axel Vixen. He was a very shrewd man who is able to bring many people to first prince's side.

There is a war going on between siblings for the throne. Axel Vixen is on first prince's side from the start and also believes that legitimate children are far superior to illegitimate children.

Ash found it hard to believe that such person has requested for his presence. He already felt fishy since he heard the request from Knight captain.

He could have declined to meet the count, but he was concerned about Raven so he decided to meet the Count.

"Greetings. You can call Ash Mr. Vixen." said Ash decently.

"You are an illegitimate child of Earl Randell who has given up his right so you should bow before me." said Count glaring at Ash.

"Not my style." said Ash with a psychotic smile.

"What?" shouted the Count and used magical pressure on Ash to make him bow.

Ash kept staring at nails while Count used pressure. The Count tried to use all the pressure on Ash but Ash looking at count sarcastically.

"Is this a joke Count? You call that pressure. Let me show you what the real magical pressure looks like." said Ash with a devilish smirk and released his pressure.

The pressure completely overwhelmed the Count and the Count fell down on his knees. Ash only used 1/4th of his power to make the Count kneel.

If he used much more, the Count will lose his mind. He kept the pressure for 2 minutes and stopped.

"Now, Is that enough?" asked Ash.

"How dare you?" said the count.

"That's enough." a voice came and a woman came in.

The way she dressed and the way she carries herself he thought she must be the Countess.

"Sorry Ash. The Count tried to test you, but it seems to have backfired." said that woman.

"Who are you, Madam?" asked Ash.

"Sorry for not introducing myself. I am Ginger Vixen, the first wife of Count Vixen." said the woman.

"Ash Sullivan, Nice to meet you." said Ash.

"I need to know why I was brought here?" asked Ash directly.

"Can we talk while we have tea?" asked Countess.

"No, thank you. I just want to hear what you have to say and give my answer." said Ash.

"You are definitely acting arrogant boy." said Ginger with serious eyes.

"You need to drop the act Madam, because you can't fool me." said Ash.

"You saw through me. Good." said Ginger with a crazed expression.

"Yeah" said Ash.

"Very well. Count please tell him the reason for him to be brought here." said Ginger.

"Boy, I want you to make those mana bombs for this County. You will be working for the County from now on." commanded the Count.

Ash was irritated beyond the line by his words. "You two can go fuck yourselves." said Ash with a wide grin.

The words hit the two of them hard that the expressions became dark and gloomy.

"Bring her." said Ginger and clapped her hands.

The knights brought a battered Raven into the room. Raven was barely able to keep her consciousness.

"This girl you adore so much will die if you don't work with us to help First Prince ascend the throne." said Ginger.

Ash looked at Raven and started laughing. The laugh has a psychotic rhythm in it.

Raven thought that he is going to abandon her based on the laugh. She knew that her father was treating her as pawn to be discarded but she was careless.

"And don't even try to escape boy. There are runes here that can stop you from escaping." said Axel with a evil grin.

"I thought you were a shrewd guy, but you were just a fool." said Ash.

"Show respect boy. Don't you want your precious Quinn and Rose alive." said Axel

"PFFF HAHAHA." Ash started laughing again. They could not understand his laugh.

"You think they need my protection? What a joke. I think your knights might be laying unconscious in the tavern." said Ash with a evil grin.

"What?" shouted the count.

"I have evidence to prove your actions now." said Ash and took out the orb.

The earlier scene played. The Count and the Countess were shocked on seeing the projection.

"I have made these devices for communication, but it also has a function to record. If I played it in front of all the people, you are literally fucked." said Ash smiling.

Ash looked at Raven and came near her. He glared at the knights. Ash put the orb in the inventory and adjusted the hair of Raven.

The knights released Raven and she fell down. The two knights tried to take out the swords but Ash used the Dark Chains to bind them. He also used it on the Count and Countess.

"I am taking Raven with me. If you try to do something a put a bounty or send assassins I will release this footage to the people." said Ash.

"You are not going to escape. This room is filled with Runes which block any kind of teleportation." said Ginger cruelly.

Ash lifted Raven as a princess and said "You dickheads have brains in your asses."

Ash willed the anti rune teleportation and he was teleported outside the mansion. The Count and the countess were surprised by what has happened. They thought Ash was trapped along with Raven but he escaped unscathed.
