Chapter 2

I woke up in a dark place with chains all around me. It took me a bit to remember what happened but then it all came rushing back. I didn't feel anything. Does that make me a monster or is this perhaps just survival instinct. Well i don't have emotions to begin with so i wouldn't know. As i was in my thoughts, i heard the door opening and the sound of heavy steps coming towards me. I look up to see the leader looking down on me and grinning. Time for your branding to become one of us. He nodded and two people came in and dragged me out of the cage and pinned me down on the ground. They proceeded to place a brand on me resembling their emblem the symbol of Evilus .

They brand me on my right hand and one on my upper left arm. The leader watched with a sick fascinating grin on his face. "Excellent" He said. He then grabbed a paper and threw it at the boys face and said "Read This, It's your New Assignment". I looked at him and then the paper and read what it said. :Contract Type Assassination. : Target Ryuu Lion. :Payment 10M Valis. I look at the picture and remembered the info as well as the details. The leader spoke "Apparently one of their members survived long enough to give them this information and to place a bounty on her head. I figured why not and send you out as a test run. Let's see if your worth the investment". I just looked up and nodded. He told me that it takes place in 2 days so i should rest up even though i know he just wants to see how i performed. So that's why he is having me rested instead of being tortured or beaten. The guards dragged me back to my cell and left me there with some food and water and just left. I decided to train in my cage and get some rest for the next 2 days to get myself ready. After training for a while, i go and lay down and decided to go to sleep. I woke up and saw that today was the day i was going to go on my first assignment.

I did what i said and trained all day the last 2 days and rested enough. I was ready to complete my first assignment. After grabbing all my things that i needed i headed outside to the targets last known location, Orario. I had my real clothes tucked into my bag and decided to dress as a villager to get easier access to Orario. He saw a villager riding on a carriage and flagged him down. He explained to him what he wanted and handed him some money for transport and inconvenience. The trip itself took about a day and even then i did not feel exhausted at all. I again paid the man for bringing me here and saw a line waiting to enter the city and decided to line up as well. It took about 12 hours or so till it was my turn.

The guards look at me and asked for my Info. I handed him a piece of paper as well as some coins to pay for the fee. After a few minutes, the guard confirmed the info which was fake by the way and handed me a card and said "That is a temporary license to enter Orario. If you want to stay longer, you'll have to register yourself at the guild". I nodded and grabbed the card and headed inside the city and past the gates. I decided since i don't know how long it will take me to find her and this card was only for 2 days. That i would register with the guild to get a permanent license. It took me about 3 hours to find the guild even with instructions from the passerby's since the city was huge. Once inside he saw another line and luckily it wasn't very long so he decided to queue in and wait. It took about 30 Minutes for his turn to come but it did and now he is in front of a beautiful half elf. She wears glasses with brown hair and green eyes. Short but pointy ears and the typical outfit of the guild. She saw him standing there not saying anything so she decided to start the conversation. "Hello there, my name is Eina Tulle, How may i help you today".

The boy before her took out a piece of paper and wrote something. She was curious but decided not to say anything and wait for him. He handed her the paper and it said "Hello, i like to pay for a permanent license to stay inside Orario. She nodded and said "Sure i can do that for you one sec". She went through some papers and told him it would be 250 Valis. I nodded and handed her the money and then she counted it and gave me the license i needed. She ask me "is there anything else i can help you with". I shook my head no and left without waiting for a response. I was pretty hungry and since i was no longer confined into a dark and small place with barely any food. I decided to treat myself for once and headed towards a food cart that was selling what looked like crepes. The smell was intoxicating and unknowingly gulped when the smell hit him. He took a step forward and the stall owner said " How can i help you". I wrote something down and handed it to him. He read it and handed me to chocolate and vanilla crepes and i paid the man 150 Valis.

I left the stand and sat at a nearby bench and took my first bite. The instant the crepe enter my mouth, my taste buds exploded and i couldn't contain the energy and taste and immediately devoured the whole thing. I look at the other one and without hesitating devoured it as well. The taste was so good and surprising that he didn't even realize he had shed a few tears since he was too distracted. After that he clean up and decided to try to get some more info and learn about his targets whereabouts. He decided that the best way to get info is from the bar because alcohol lets loose people's lips. So that was what he did.

He went inside multiple different bars and spent about 2 hours each inside everyone and didn't find anything noteworthy about his target. Though he did learn about the big shots familia. He learned about the dungeon and how it works based on their info. The first 5 floors are the easiest but if one's not careful it could also be the most dangerous for rookies and newbies. He decided to get some rest an went to the poorer district since he doesn't care about comfort.

He never had it and so he decided to find a disclose but decent alleyway to take a nap. He wasn't exactly tired to be honest but he decided to rest anyways and enjoy what little freedom he has now. He swore that he will escape one day and get his revenge for all his fallen brethren that died because of them but for now he closed his eyes and figured he'll look for more information about his target.
