ARGH!!! My feet are burnt but I was able to get behind the hill when a huge surge of flames suddenly went after me. After healing my feet, I run away with haste. The fight between those two is very chaotic. If I want to help Zuriel, I will just get caught up in that fight and be destroyed without doing anything noteworthy.
Far into the distant air, they are inside their barriers. They cast tons of magic, making them look like stars but could not break each other's shields. There are two lights above them. They're amassing huge balls of energy! They're getting brighter, closing every eye in this domain. I too am closing my eyes but the brightness still goes through my eyelids.
It stops before a huge explosion happens. Everything standing on the ground is blown away. A mushroom cloud appears—something I didn't expect could happen in a world like this. Their fight is getting out of hand! Thank goodness that it's happening in this domain. Millions will die and everything will be destroyed if this fight occurred outside.
But maybe it's only in this domain that they have this great amount of power. Even so, I think this is the better place for them to fight.
"Get ready," someone whispers in my ear but I'm all alone around here. Wait, was that—
In mid-air, the All-Seer is in front of me and I couldn't think of anything but summon the Angel's Bane to stab him. I miss as he dodges to the side but I grazed his left wing. Then I instantly fall to the ground, back to where I came from.
It was Zuriel's doing! He teleported me! What the hell was he thinking?! I could've died!
"But you didn't," he says in my mind.
"Wait, how can you—"
"We can read your mind. So, don't think of anything stupid."
"What you did was something stupid!" He didn't say anything again.
This is weird, even my thoughts can't be hidden. Don't mind me here, then. I'm just gonna sit this one out and let you guys do your thing. I'm not cut out for this.
"After I get rid of this ally of yours, you're next," says the All-Seer.
"He's not my ally!"
"What are you talking about?" Zuriel enters the conversation. "We're both the husbands of Queen Zaori."
"That was before!" I argue. "We divorced!"
"All the same," says the All-Seer. "you're still his accomplice."
Argh! I wanna get out of here!
I get teleported in front of the All-Seer again, and this time, too close. I can't summon and hold the Angel's Bane in time! But eventually, I manage. Yes!
Huh? The tip of my dagger couldn't get through.
Wait, his skin suddenly turned black. I look up, and see his bug-like Daemon face! Then a punch from Zuriel blasts him away, crashing into the ground like a rolling meteorite.
I land on the ground and the domain is gone. We're back in this shady room again. Far away, the All-Seer is rising from the ground. His Daemonic face is shattered as he glares at us.
"That's the first time I used that," Zuriel says. "Phew! It takes a lot of mana to keep that domain. Shall we continue here?"
"Here?" I ask in concern. They'll destroy everything here and I have nowhere to get to cover.
"Yeah," he says. "this time, you'll help me. I barely have enough mana now."
"You're kidding, right?"
"I'm not and don't worry. He too used a lot of mana. All is according to plan. He thought he could finish me instantly with that Legendary Skill. Now, we're going to fight on the same terms. That's what he gets for using his trump card too early in the game."
"Silence!" the All-Seer spats. "I am the All-Seer! I shall never be defeated by someone like you!" He sounds desperate. He was a cool guy just minutes ago.
"Like me who's handsome, strong, and smart? Don't put me below you, soy boy."
Soy boy? What does that even mean?
The All-Seer shoots lightning bolts at us. He's not aiming well and is just ragingly casting destructive spells against us. Zuriel is so good at dodging and blocking that he's making gains to reach the All-Seer. Once he gets close enough, he shoots water jets from his palms, blasting the All-Seer through the wall of the building. The impact was so great that I can feel the building swaying a little.
I can see the city island and the dark shimmering sea through the hole.
"I thought this building is indestructible," I remark.
"Well, it was until he has no more mana to spare. He stopped feeding magic to this tower to conserve it. Let's get out of here. This thing is gonna collapse soon."
With our wings, we fly out of the hole and at the same time, the building became a tower of cheap junk. Then it collapses under its weight. Although the materials are lightweight, the whole city island is shaken. The tallest indestructible building has been brought down. The people in the always-crowded streets stop and look at it. For this doesn't happen every day.
"The Tower that can see everything is no more," Zuriel proclaims as we descend on the street where the All-Seer crashed.
The people are panicking away as the police control the situation. They're shooting at us but their bullet could not pierce through Zuriel's barrier.
He grabs the All-Seer by the neck and lifts him for his people to see. "Is this your All-Seer?" he laughs. "He's surprisingly weak! I even doubt that he's the real one! I take back what I said. I am so disappointed! I thought our fight was going to be spectacular. Well, I always tend to over-prepare."
But the All-Seer still has the guts to smirk while his face is all messed up. "You can't get away from this, you know," he says in a cracked voice. "As I said, I am the All-Seer. I am. . . invincible!"
I suddenly feel this heavy aura making the gravity stronger. My knees are shaking without reason, the people are screaming in fear, and Zuriel looks around confused. What is happening?
"We're in deep trouble, Cancer, my bro," he says before swallowing.
"What? Why? What is this heavy aura I'm feeling?"
The All-Seer laughs like mad. "Both of you are dead!"
"Shut up," says Zuriel.
He throws him to the ground, imbues his hand with magic shaped like a sword, and lunges it down to finish him off. The blast is so loud and powerful that I have to close my eyes.
Then. . . he failed to do that as a foot blocked his way, hovering inches above the cackling All-Seer.
"My boss said you can't do that," says the boy who stopped Zuriel.
This boy is short, has blood-red hair, brown skin, long ears, sleeveless clothes, baggy pants, oversized boots, and a huge sword on his back. His red eyebrows are slightly headbutting one another as he glares at Zuriel.
*Swallow*
Even if that glare was not for me, I still feel chills running down my spine. Zuriel retreats right away and the boy did not pursue. Instead, he helps the All-Seer stand up.
"Now what do we have here," Zuriel whispers beside me. "This is unprecedented. There is a Ringer in front of us."
"A Ringer?" I ask.
"Guys who have been in the Ring and doing the Divine Trinity Quest."
I look at the boy again. "But he's just a boy."
"Don't let appearances fool you, bro. That's gonna get you killed someday. And I have to tell you, Ringers usually have five or more Legendary Skills. They're very OP compared to us outsiders. So, don't do anything stupid."
"Kill them!" the All-Seer demands, pointing at us. "They are a nuisance that could ruin your boss's business."
"They are?" asks the boy innocently. I feel a surging fear once again as he looks at us. His hand is going for the hilt of his huge sword—that I'm wondering if he could lift it.
"Wait!" Zuriel says, showing his palms in submission. It stops the boy from touching the hilt. What is he gonna do? Fight or negotiate?
