PART 14

The sun rose over the hospital, putting an end to the tale. The hallways illuminated by the orange glow, the sounds of the building waking to another day filled the air. No time for sleep though. No time for dreams. For anything. J-JOE awoke to the sounds of reporters, each flocking to both him and the corpse of The Scar-Face Reaper.

He wanted to bathe in the glory, but was too injured from the night before. He was exhausted. He was worn out. Nothing was working.

He could barely move. He was in too much pain, too heavy, too much so that there was no way he was going to be able to walk. His body was no match for the pain. The only thing keeping him here was sheer determination. That, and the fact that his head was throbbing, his face was still sore, and his eye was missing.

This was the end. This was it. This was the beginning of his career. His life. Everything. This was the ultimate sacrifice.

J-JOE was escorted by staff to another room, they set him up in a hospital bed. Now he didn't have to worry about getting murdered or even assaulted. "I wonder what they're going to do with his body?" J-JOE thought about what they were going to do with Thomas's body. Where were they going to take him? He let his mind wander, thinking about everything from his new found fame, to his friendship with Thomas. He smiled, It was the same smile he had on his face when he first met Thomas. The smile he will never forget.

J-JOE leaned back in the bed, and closed his eyes, "I told him I could survive a horror movie." He laughed while he cried, but he will always cherish Thomas in his heart.
