House in Barren Forest

"You were missing me, right?" that girl said with a smile.

"Please, no you cannot be Alizy, she died, who are you? What is happening with me?" he said and held his head with both his hands and bend down. He thought he will get mad. "Look, whoever you…" he said and lifted up his chin and there was no girl around. He looked around but found no one. He ran towards his car, opened the door, and immediately started the car.

It was still dark; he did not care about anything and just kept on driving without knowing where he is going. The sun rose and he was still driving the car, he saw the changing color of the sky. The sunlight made him able to realize that he is in a mountainous area. At a coffee shop, he stopped his car and got out to get some refreshing drinks. He went inside and it was almost empty. He ordered a cup of coffee and asked the owner of the shop, "Do you know any place, any rest area for passengers?"

"Sir, this area is not for passengers, it is for the tourist, obviously you will find a lot of hotels", he replied.

"Can you tell me the one with a cheaper price? As I didn't come up with my credit card, and I need to go back too, so I cannot spend on such expensive hotels", Jack said.

"Sir, in that case, there is a very small double-story house, the building is really old, and there is no necessary furniture, if you want to stay I can give you the address", the owner said.

"Who owned that house?" Jack asked.

"Sir, there is a family, an old man, and a woman, they built that house years ago, and they used to come here on vacations when they were young, then their children got married and they built a giant farmhouse nearby, one more thing is that near that small house, you will not find any other house it is in an uninhibited place, and if any passenger comes and he needs help then that family gives that house to that person", the owner said.

"So I need to seek permission first?" Jack asked.

"Ethically you should, but as you seem tired, I will tell that family about you, this is the address", the owner said and gave him a paper

"Thank you", Jack said, took the paper, and drove towards that place.

It was a peaceful place, with no disturbance, and no human beings around, the house was situated near a barren forest. He entered the house, the main gate was made of low-quality wood, and it was stuck, he managed to open the door, and soon after entering the house, there was a kitchen just in front of him and a staircase with was going upward. He went upstairs; there was just a single bed in rough condition, a sofa, and a rough carpet. He put his bag aside and laid himself on a bed, looked at the ceiling, and fell asleep.

He woke up in the evening, it was cold and he just brought one jacket so it was necessary to warm the house, he went outside and entered that barren forest, soon he saw some tools, which are used to cut the tree, he picked them up and started cutting some branches of a barren tree.

He went into the house after gathering the wood pieces. He took the matchbox out of the kitchen, lit the fire, and then sat down next to it because he was still exhausted and did not want to think. He just closed his eyes.

The next morning, a knock on the door woke him up, "who might be? Am I still dreaming?" he opened his eyes and looked around, there were just some coals and the sunlight was coming from the window, it was hard for him to open his eyes. He went downstairs, opened the door, and there was no one. He looked around and waited for a few seconds, and then he looked near his foot. There was a bucket, he took that bucket in, and walked towards the kitchen. There was bread, eggs, and a small jar of jam.

"Who sent me this? The owner of the coffee shop… or it is some kind of trap", he questioned himself.

Then he started putting the things in the kitchen slap, and in the end, there was an envelope, he opened that and it was written, "For our guest". He was really very hungry so instead of thinking who sent this food he preferred eating it first.

He tried to turn the stove on but there was no gas, so he went outside with the bucket, collected the wood, fried the eggs, and had breakfast.
