BELIEVE THE UNBELIEVABLE

"GEUN!"

Oh Rami let out a string of profanities out of shock after Choi Doyun woke up while screaming His Royal Assface's name. "Goddammit, Choi Doyun. Can't you wake up normally, huh?"

Choi Doyun got up abruptly, then he blinked several times while looking at her. After that, he looked around. "The school clinic…?"

"Yes, we're in the school clinic," she said while sitting on the bed next to the bed that Choi Doyun occupied. "You fainted, remember?"

The jerk turned to her, confused. Then his face turned red.

[Ah, he probably remembered what happened earlier.]

"Are you not going to laugh at me?" Choi Doyun asked while giving her a doubtful look. "You always find ways to make fun of me, don't you?"

"I don't make fun of people's fears," she said in a serious tone. "And I only make fun of you for being Sun Geun-wook's number one fanboy."

The jerk glared at him, but his face soon turned pale. "The Sun Geun-wook that we met earlier…"

"That was his doppelganger."

She was free to say things like that because the school nurse left earlier to attend to a student who had to be moved to a hospital.

"Oh Rami, I know that you indulge Moon Yujin since she's the only person who thinks you're a good person–"

"Yah, do you want to die?"

"Do you really believe her?" he asked, frustrated. "I know that Moon Yujin is eccentric, but to say that Sun Geun-wook is gone and replaced by his "doppelganger" is too much!"

She understood where Choi Doyun was coming from.

[It's really hard to believe it, after all.]

If she didn't witness the things that she had seen while being friends with Moon Yujin all these years, then she wouldn't have believed in the existence of ghosts, too.

However, spending years with her best friend and Aunt Hayi opened her eyes.

"Choi Doyun, you saw what the doppelganger did earlier," Rami reminded him. "Do you think it's something a normal person could do?"

Choi Doyun opened his mouth to retort, but no words came out.

"Yep, that wasn't a dream," she said, nodding. "If I didn't see other scary stuff before, I would have fainted from shock, too."

The jerk remained silent, then his head drooped.

She knitted her eyebrows, confused.

[What's happening to him now?]

Soon, she realized what was up with the jerk.

Choi Doyun's shoulders trembled while sobbing. "If I accept that the person we saw earlier was Sun Geun-wook's doppelganger, then does it mean Geun… G-Geun is really… g-gone?"

Ah, he was crying.

Of course, he would, since Choi Doyun was Sun Geun-wook's number one fanboy and most trusted friend.

[I didn't expect Choi Doyun to cry in front of me, though.]

"G-Geun… you crazy bastard… I already told you that you'd die early because you're a lunatic… but I didn't expect you to really die young!"

Oh, god.

Choi Doyun was mourning while cursing at Sun Geun-wook.

[Yep, they're really friends.]

"Choi Doyun, stop crying–"

"Don't tell me to stop crying, Oh Rami!" Choi Doyun yelled at her, then he raised his head to glare at her while thumping his chest as if he was frustrated. "Who are you to stop me from mourning when you already know that Sun Geun-wook is my idol– I mean, friend?!"

[He admitted that he's Sun Geun-wook's fanboy…]

"How did he… die?" Choi Doyun asked, big drops of tears falling from his eyes. "Did that damned doppelganger kill him?"

"If I say yes, what will you do?" she asked, shaking her head. "Will you avenge Sun Geun-wook even though you know that you're facing a ghost?"

"Of course!"

She whistled, genuinely impressed by Choi Doyun's bravado. "You don't have to do that, though."

"If you're stopping me because it's dangerous, then forget it–"

"Sun Geun-wook is still alive."

Choi Doyun looked stupefied by what she said. "What?"

"I'm saying that Sun Geun-wook can still return to this world, but we must keep it a secret from the doppelganger," Rami said, standing up while stretching his arms. "If you want to know the details, talk to Moon Yujin in private later."

***

"WOOKIE, you can't do that," Yujin said to the doppelganger, then she crossed her arms over her chest. Oh Rami left to bring Choi Doyun to the clinic. Hence, only the two of them were left on the rooftop. "You can't show off your superhuman strength just like that. If people saw you, we'll be in trouble."

"It's alright, Yujinie."

"What do you mean by it's alright? It's not."

"It's alright," Wook said, smiling. Then he tilted his head to one side– a move that never failed to make him look innocent. "I can just bewitch them."

"Ghosts can bewitch or hypnotize humans."

Okay, that gave her goosebumps.

[He's really a ghost through and through.]

"But Yujinie…"

"Yeah?"

Wook looked at his hands as if he was confused. "I thought I'm going to lose all my powers when I became a full-fledged human." He looked at her as if he was searching for answers on her face. "But why am I still powerful, Yujinie?"

Ah, right.

Wook didn't know that he hadn't turned into a full-fledged human because Sun Geun-wook was still alive.

[And he must never know.]

Hence, she and Aunt Hayi had prepared a lie to deceive the doppelganger.

"Aunt Hayi said that you were a powerful doppelganger, hence your soul remains strong," she said vaguely. "That's probably why you can use your power even though you've already turned into a human."

Ouch.

Her conscience pricked her heart.

Even though she was doing that for Sun Geun-wook, she still felt bad for deceiving the doppelganger.

"Oh, I see," Wook said, his face beaming. "I'm glad then. I can protect Yujinie with this power."

Ouch again.

[Wookie's innocent face… and his faith in me… I'm a bad person.]

"Wookie, give me your hand."

The doppelganger extended his hand to her without questions.

[He really trusts me, huh?]

"Here," she said, putting a candy in Wook's hand. "I'll give you a candy because you listened well to me."

Wook smiled brightly at her. "Thank you, Yujinie!"

[Argh.]

Yujinie's conscience pricked her heart again.

[I'm sorry, Wookie.]

"IS IT true that Sun Geun-wook is still alive?"

Yujin was wondering why Choi Doyun, someone who didn't like her from the moment they met, asked to meet her behind the gymnasium after class.

It seemed like Oh Rami helped Choi Doyun, too.

After all, her best friend volunteered to "babysit" Wook who was waiting for her in her favorite café.

"Yes, Sun Geun-wook is still alive," Moon Yujin said to assure Choi Doyun that his best friend could still be saved. "My aunt is a good shaman."

"I know."

"Huh?" she asked, confused. "You know?"

Choi Doyun scratched his cheek while avoiding her gaze. "To be honest, my mother is a believer of the supernatural. And my mother knows your aunt since she's a famous shaman."

Ah, right.

[Aunt Hayi also does "normal" shaman works like fortune-telling and the likes.]

"Anyway, my aunt is devising a plan to rescue Sun Geun-wook who's current trapped in a strange world," she explained. "For now, she asked us to protect Wook since Sun Geun-wook would need his physical body when he returns."

"You said 'when' and not 'if,'" Choi Doyun said, then he turned to her. "Are you that confident we can bring the real Sun Geun-wook back to life?"

She nodded firmly. "I'll do anything and everything to bring him back."

After all, she felt like it was her fault Sun Geun-wook "died."

[If only Shin Aera and her gang didn't threaten me…]

"I will trust you this once, Moon Yujin."

"Thank you, Choi Doyun."

[He'll be a great help since he can protect Wook in my stead during the times I can't be with Wookie.]

"I just have one question, Moon Yujin."

"What is it?"

"What happened the night you sent me a message telling me to save Geun?" Choi Doyun asked seriously. "Does it have something to do with Sun Geun-wook's "death?""

[Ah, I can't lie to him since he already decided to trust me.]

"That's right," Yujin said, nodding. "To be honest, Shin Aera and her gang did something bad."

***

[CRAZY! CRAZY! CRAZY!]

Yujin regretted telling Choi Doyun about what Shin Aera did the night Sun Geun-wook "died."

[I should have just lied!]

As soon as she finished the story, Choi Doyun stormed off while saying he'd kill Shin Aera and her "little gang."

"Rami-ya, what should we do?" Yujin asked in a panic as soon as she met up with Oh Rami and Wook in front of the café. While she was on her way there, she called Oh Rami and explained what happened to her best friend. "Do you think Choi Doyun will really go to Shin Aera's school and pick a fight with her?"

"Yep," Oh Rami said calmly. "That sounds like something Choi Doyun will do."

That made her nervous even more.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of it," Oh Rami said, patting her shoulder. "Go home with Wook-ah. I'll call you later."

Oh?

[Rami has already warmed up to Wookie?]

After Oh Rami left, she turned to the doppelganger.

Wookie was sipping his iced coffee with an innocent look on his face. After taking a sip, he smiled at her. "Should we go home, Yujinie?"

Yujin nodded, and she was about to tell Wook that they should take a cab when she felt a sudden shift in the air.

The next thing she knew, everyone around them just disappeared!

Then Wook was sent flying until he hit the café's glass wall– breaking it as a result.

Yujin gasped, shocked. "Wookie!"

She was about to run to him when someone grabbed her arm. When she turned to her side, she was surprised to see a boy her age looking down at her with a blank look on his face.

"Moon Yujin, you are arrested for giving a doppelganger a name."

Yujin gulped when the realization hit her. "Uhm, are you a S-Sweeper?"

"That's right," the handsome boy who wore a different school uniform confirmed while nodding. "I'm Hong Rowoon, the captain of the Sweepers who has taken over Mir City starting today."
