014 - Daily Life Of The Hidden Princess (1)

"Your Highness, are you okay?"

For the umpteenth time, Meila, Princess Faerie's maid, asked the same question over and over again.

Faerie couldn't help but smile full of compulsion in response to the excessive worry.

It's not that Faerie doesn't understand how worried this maid named Meila is when she sees the Princess, whom she loves with all her heart, soul, and body, suddenly outside the mansion and in a very messy state, both in terms of her nightgown and her silvery white hair.

Therefore, Faerie didn't answer her question with comforting words at all, but only with a sweet smile full of tenderness.

But actually... There is another reason why Faerie can only smile sweetly.

'I don't know how 'Princess Faerie' behaves as usual!' Faerie screamed hysterically in her mind.

Faerie forgot about the fact that she knew nothing about this character called Princess Faerie. All Faerie knew was the fact that 'Faerie' was the poor Princess who was hidden and had the fate of dying by the sword of the First Imperial Prince.

As if that wasn't enough, now Faerie was faced with another problem.

'How can I change the storyline of this trash novel if I'm hidden on an island in the middle of nowhere?!'

While cursing in her heart, Faerie gripped the brooch in the shape of an oak tree which she was still holding tightly.

Having the brooch in her hand meant that her encounter with God at the holy temple had indeed happened.

That means God is watching over Faerie and won't let Faerie die as long as Faerie doesn't do anything to ruin the world of this novel.

"Uuu...." Faerie grimaced softly without realizing it. The maid beside Faerie turned around with a worried expression on her face when she heard Faerie's soft sobs.

Faerie didn't understand God's intention in that last conversation either.

-"I will never let you die unless it's time you are fated to die."

'Does that mean if I'm fated to die then God won't want to help me, right?!'

"I should have just hit it then...." Faerie mumbled back unconsciously.

"Excuse me? H-Hit? Hit w-who?" The short shoulder-length brown-haired maid was agitated when she heard Faerie's surprising words.

"No! That's no!" Faerie quickly refuted while shaking her head.

Faerie began to inhale and exhale slowly. This is Faerie's habit since childhood so that her heart can beat regularly.

Meila, a young maid girl who seemed to be the same age as Faerie, looked at Faerie, the Princess she was caring for with worried eyes.

"Princess...." She called out in a barely audible voice.

Faerie couldn't help but smile in response as she felt uncomfortable when she heard someone calling her 'Princess'.

While Faerie was thinking hard about where to start with the 'change-world-for-the-better' plan, Faerie's stomach rumbled loudly in her spacious and quiet room.

"A... ahaha...." Faerie scratched the back of her head, embarrassed.

'My stomach! Why are you beeping?! Don't you remember that you ate all the food and drink God gave you?!' Faerie thought scolding her stomach.

She did not expect the stomach capacity of the body she entered so easily hungry even though it looks very small.

Meila smiled cheerfully when she heard the rumbling sound of the Princess' stomach. "Whoa! Princess, are you hungry?!"

Faerie nodded her head, embarrassed.

'If your stomach rumbles that much, isn't it obvious you're hungry?' Faerie was surprised to see the reaction of the maid who was quite excited just because she was hungry.

'Wait... Maybe this maid is surprised because there's no way a Princess could rumble that loud, right?'

'Did I just ruin the Princess's good image?'

When Faerie's mind began to fill with panic thoughts, Meila the maid was already standing with a happy expression.

"I will immediately ask head chef Mona to cook your favorite food, Princess!" After saying that, the short-haired maid immediately ran out of Faerie's room.

'Isn't that an overreaction?' Faerie thought to herself, confused.

However, she decided to just ignore it because there were still other important matters.

"Okay...." Faerie took off the blue shawl she had tied tightly around her neck to cover the obvious marks and bruises on her neck, then threw herself onto the wide and soft bed.

Faerie closed her eyes and she tried to remember any conversation she had with God.

A few hours ago...

"So I entered the poor Princess's body?"

The God nodded in response.

"Allow me to protest then." Faerie was blatantly glaring at God.

The God laughed seeing Faerie dare to treat a God, with disrespect. "Aren't you exaggerating?"

"No. I think you went too far." Faerie answered, still with her eyes wide open.

"Well, it looks like you're right."

God laughed and responded to Faerie in a friendly manner, instead of punishing the lowly human who dared to treat God with such disrespectful behavior.

It was because both sides knew.

God couldn't punish Faerie, on the contrary, God needed Faerie to change that trash world for the better.

Meanwhile, Faerie needs God's help so she can live again in her original life, on earth.

They need each other.

'Though I don't know why God chose me out of so many people on earth. But I will make good use of this situation!'

"So what kind of protest do you want to say, my beloved contractor?"

Faerie put down the teacup and looked at God who still had the light covering God's face.

"This is all bullshit," said Faerie directly.

"Yes, bullsh- Huh?"

"How can you tell me to fix a trash plot, ah, I mean, help your world to be better if you put me in the body of a Princess hidden alone on an island in the middle of nowhere?!" Faerie said in a tone that showed that she felt the actions of God before she was foolish.

"Why don't you put me in one of the side character bodies, or maybe in one of the bodies of important characters living near the Empire so that I can easily fulfill your wish to make this trash world a better world?!" Faerie kept spitting out whatever she wanted to say without the slightest fear.

"..."

Instead of answering Faerie's protest, God asked for something else.

"Aren't you wondering if this Princess's parents left their beloved Princess alone on an island in the middle of nowhere? With no one to look after this island?"

"It is because...!"

Before Faerie could answer, God took out a large round mirror that looked magical because it could float in the air. The magic mirror shows glimpses of the state of the various shores and corners of this island in the middle of nowhere.

Then, God snapped the finger of the God, which made 10 people suddenly appear in positions in several places by the magic mirror.

"Hmm... It seems they are using a wide area type magic tool, which is so expensive that they can hide the presence of 10 people." said the God.

Faerie was astonished to know the truth.

'Then why didn't anyone answer my calls when I was going down the road at the foot of the mountain earlier?'

When Faerie wanted to ask that, God had already continued her sentence first.

"Likewise, the mansion you live in is equipped with various expensive magic tools. Ah, you also have three maids."

"Hoo!~ The three of them seem talented in certain areas...." the God muttered which Faerie didn't hear. It was because Faerie was busy thinking about something.

"...Then did the 10 guards move from the island to the Kingdom by ship? Wouldn't that make their movements easy for the Empire to suspect?"

'Is it because of that, the second Imperial Prince was able to easily find the location of this poor Princess?'

Faerie couldn't help but curse the damned Prince who had dragged the poor innocent Princess into the Empire to death.

"As for the guards, yes, they move every 6 months to change shifts."

Faerie nodded hearing this important information.

Truly, having an omniscient God is indeed more advantageous than anything else!

"But not for your three maids."

"Oh? Then how did they...?" Faerie tilted her head.

"They borrowed the fairy power given by the Queen, the mother of the body you are currently in. That way, they can move between locations no matter if they are far from the intended location."

The God further explained that the three maids wore crystal stone necklaces containing the fairy power of Princess Faerie's Mother, which allowed them to switch locations without difficulty.

Of course, the necklace can only be used once a year. The maids usually use it to replenish the mansion's supplies and the Princess' necessities or to report on the poor Princess's activities.

Faerie narrowed her eyes. "Fairy?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Right."

'Aren't fairies a mythical creatures deliberately made up for children's fairy tales? It turns out that in this world fairies are real?!' Faerie's eyes lit up with interest.

As the name itself, Faerie had been fond of creatures created in fairy tale worlds called fairies since she was a child, but now she was too old to like let alone trust mythical creatures from mere fairy tales.

"Aren't there no fairies in trash novel-, ah, I mean, your great world, Lord God?"

God sighed ignoring Faerie who subconsciously said that this world was a trash world. "That body you possess is a direct fairy descendant. It has a repeat of the qualities of both appearance and strength from its ancestor (atavism), who is a descendant of the supreme fairy."

Faerie looked at her body from top to bottom. "Princess Faerie? A descendant of a fairy?" she repeated in a surprised voice.

"Your mother, Queen Angelina of a small Kingdom called Randell, had a mother who was a supreme fairy who later fled from the fairy world to marry a human child."

"Se-Seriously?" asked Faerie stuttering, while God only nodded briefly in response.

"Hahaha...." Faerie laughed awkwardly. She didn't expect a character who only appeared once to die by the main character's sword and had a 'wow' background story for the size of an insignificant character.

Besides feeling amazed, Faerie also felt sad.

The owner of this body died without knowing her background.

'Don't worry Princess Faerie! I won't let you become an insignificant character that appears once just for the sake of progressing the development of the storyline, but make you a hidden character who is very important to this ugly novel world!'

Faerie was fiery when she thought about what she would do in the future when she met the other important supporting characters, apart from the main character, of course.

'I have to avoid the main character!'

'Then I have to sort out which supporting characters are harmless for me to approach....' Faerie started to think seriously as she became firmer about the things she should prioritize and the things she should avoid.

"In short," God's voice interrupted Faerie's thoughts, "you inherited the power of a supreme fairy so you can move between spaces easily."

"So you understand what I mean to go to the trouble of explaining this at length?" the God propped their chins in a sitting position that looked very lazy. God's tone also sounded like God was being weighed down by Faerie who seemed clueless about the world she was in. But Faerie certainly didn't care about things that didn't concern her.

Faerie smiled. She smiled so beautifully that God was sure, a human male who saw her smiling would immediately be captivated by her very alluring charm and appearance like an angel.

"I love you, Lord God!"

Faerie who was busy cursing God is no longer there, now there is only Faerie who wants to kiss God's cheek until she is satisfied.

Back to the present...

"Since I'm a direct fairy descendant, then I don't need a tool like the power-filled crystal stone necklace that maids use, right?" Faerie muttered as she recalled the necklace worn by the maid named Meila earlier.

"Hmmm... Should I try it now?" Faerie was tempted to try her fairy powers. However, she had to stop her intention as her stomach rumbled again louder.

Faerie shouted with a flushed face. "Yes-yes! Let's fill our stomachs first!"
