"Very beautiful!" said Faerie as she viewed the scene of several small to medium-sized buildings that had been decorated as nicely as possible.
'It's considerably different from the condition of the outer city....' Faerie went silent when comparing the two.
Faerie was well aware that Sunset City had been purposefully designed in this way. According to the novel's description, which is fairly detailed.
So many parties, both inside and beyond the Empire, could come to the city of Sunset in the western border region, which held the Great Emperor Graham's Golden Celebration Rose as a symbol of pride, without having to worry about etiquette or anything.
"You could call it a tourism city."
Tourists who enjoy crowds and freedom will undoubtedly choose to explore and shop in the outer city. Meanwhile, tourists seeking peace, cleanliness, and comfort might opt for the inner city.
Nonetheless, the difference between the two made Faerie sigh.
The tents set up by the many merchants in the outer city were completely incomparable to the multi-story buildings in the inner city.
If it rains or storms heavily, the merchants will be unable to continue their business and would be forced to evacuate to a safe location. Meanwhile, merchants with luxurious and sturdy buildings do not need to do such things.
But it appears that people view it as a benefit and don't offer a solution for the outer section's merchants.
She was irritated and wanted to help the merchants, but on the other hand, she felt she had no obligation to do so.
Faerie was unsure she could help the merchants because she was in a difficult situation.
Faerie was frightened that if she intervened and helped the merchants in the city's outer section, she would draw the attention of the Berdandy family, the famous Marquess family in charge of supervising and guarding Sunset city as the rulers of the Empire's Western border territory.
Faerie wasn't ready to meet the Marquess, especially his successor, who was a close friend of the first Imperial Prince, the main character of this world.
If Faerie caught the attention of the young master of the Marquess family, who had been known for generations as the Emperor's right-hand man, then Faerie would only have to count the times the Imperial Prince's attention began to fall on her.
'At the very least, I'll try to help you without intervening directly!'
Faerie's attention was drawn to the large, paved road by several individuals passing by.
The majority of the people who walk around here are well-dressed and look to be well-educated individuals who respect tidiness and cleanliness.
Faerie admired the clothing style that was foreign to her eyes and Faerie rushed back into a small alley to shed her shabby robe.
"Yeah!"
Faerie took in her entire appearance, which appears simple and inexpensive but beautiful, and smiled with satisfaction.
A dress without a corset or extraneous lace, embroidery, or fashion accessories that add weight to the dress.
The dress Faerie was presently wearing didn't bloom like most of the other dresses, and it was also a dark blue color that fit her body so that her curves were faintly printed. But Faerie doesn't mind because she sees it as part of fashion.
Faerie whirled around briefly, and a sense of lightness and comfort wrapped her body through the dress she was now wearing. Faerie's smile broadened as she was pleased with her attractive appearance.
"Princess! Why are you dressed so thin and disrespectfully?!" Faerie imagined Meila, her maid, screaming wildly when uttering such things.
'Hahaha....' Faerie chose to disregard the thought of her maid's distress upon seeing their Princess's current appearance.
Right now, she'd be having fun before entering the battlefield, no, the storyline of the trashy novel while risking her life.
"All right, let's head into the dessert shop first!" Faerie started setting the first goal for her planned shopping trip today.
***
"Hello! I want to order this, please!" said a teenage girl, cheerfully showing the dessert menu she wanted to order.
"Please wrap it in plastic and this... so..." The girl continued to talk for a while, describing this and that.
When he spotted a beautifully smiling jet-black-haired girl arriving to order food at his workplace, the dessert shop employee subconsciously smiled.
It's the same for other customers who are placing orders at this particular dessert shop. They looked at the girl with long hair, captivated.
They have no idea what happened, but they were instantly enchanted after witnessing the charming smile of the girl who came from the Royal noble family.
"I've never seen a royal lady of the capital city with such lovely black hair." Whispers began to become louder and clearer.
"In that case, is Lady Noble from a border region who hasn't yet debuted?"
"... She might not be from the Moel Empire. Do you remember where this is?"
"Ah."
The whispers came to a halt as they returned their gaze to the teenage girl, who was assumed to be a noble lady from outside the Empire.
While being stared at, she could only curse her misfortune.
'Is black too much?' Faerie, the black-haired girl, moaned again in frustration in her heart.
Faerie realized she couldn't come out with this body's genuine appearance, so she disguised herself with a wig. Faerie herself picked a black wig. It was because it reminded her of the hair color she had seen so often on Earth.
But who would have guessed that black hair was so uncommon in this novel world?!
"Here's your order, Miss. Did you want it wrapped instead of eating it right away?" An employee of a dessert shop came up with a brown plastic that appeared to be effective at absorbing steam and oil.
After following Faerie's detailed instructions, the young employee successfully wrapped the plastic carrying the pastries she had ordered.
"By the way, this method of wrapping is quite useful. Miss, do you have any experience with this kind of work?" The employee appeared to be impressed to have learned such essential information from a noble lady who never seemed to work hard to make ends meet.
Moments afterward, he realized that he had behaved impolitely and promptly bowed to Faerie. "I-I'm sorry, Miss! I didn't mean to insult you!"
"Aha.. haha...." Faerie laughed stiffly as the employee bowed in front of the other customers. "Please stop." Faerie was grieving on the inside after becoming the center of attention in the dessert shop.
After the misunderstanding has been cleared up. With a scowl on her face, Faerie finally left the dessert shop.
Though she fantasized about a scene in which she could eat sweets inside a dessert shop while seeing the outside world through a glass window.
However, due to the misunderstanding earlier, Faerie tried to leave as quickly as possible before people's interest turned to curiosity which caused the information to spread widely and reach the Imperial Prince's ears.
'...' Faerie touched her neck, which gave her goosebumps just thinking about it.
Faerie chose to continue her stroll down this nice shopping street.
Even though Faerie was unable to enjoy the sweets in the shop while admiring the surroundings, she still had other plans.
"Florist!" Faerie exclaimed excitedly as soon as she noticed the flower shop, whose front of the shop was already filled with a variety of flowers.
Even though Faerie was tired of gazing at flowers, given that her mansion had a large yard loaded with flower gardens of all kinds, Faerie was looking forward to this flower shop.
"Welcome!" Faerie was greeted warmly by a girl her age. "Ah, what a lovely girl!" she said as she took in Faerie's entire appearance.
"Would you prefer to see the flowers first? Did you immediately order the flowers you desired?" The girl looked at Faerie for a few seconds before smiling enthusiastically. "Or would you like me to recommend flowers?"
Faerie blushed nervously as she faced a young girl who was full of energy. "Oh, I'd want to take a look. However, if you have a flower that you think would suit me, I would be delighted to consider it," said Faerie with a beautiful smile on her bright pink lips.
Because Faerie was unable to raise or grow flowers while on Earth, she could only learn the basic concepts of flowers.
But Faerie could guess that the flower shop employee would suggest flowers that matched her current appearance.
'Black Flowers, hmmm... Black Cat Petunias, Black Star Lilies, Black Irises, and Fritillaria persica are all beautiful flowers. But I want to see Onyx Odyssey Hellebore blossoms....'
The Onyx Odyssey Hellebore flower has a multi-layered crown that makes it appear lovely and graceful; nonetheless, this flower contains toxins that are dangerous to both humans and animals. Faerie was certain that this flower wouldn't be available at the flower shop as a result.
"There are just 5 options then, huh, maybe there are other kinds of black flowers I'm not aware of?"
When Faerie began to ponder the possibility of a flower she didn't know existed in the world of this novel, she was interrupted by the kind girl's voice.
"You look lovely on the Lily of the Valley!" she said as she handed Faerie a bouquet of Lily of the Valley flowers.
"Huh?" Faerie blinked, surprised.
Isn't it the flower the first Empire's Queen liked?
"Do you mean that white, small, lovely, and beautiful flower looks good with my black hair?"
Like the Golden Celebration Rose, which had a vibrant color that complemented the great Emperor Graham's magnificent beauty.
The Queen's favorite Lily of the Valley was a flower that looked just like her because the first Queen of the Empire had pure white hair and a small body, much like the Lily of the Valley flower itself.
"No no! Flowers aren't picked out based on how someone looks, Miss!"
Even still, Faerie couldn't help but be cautious when comparing this body's original appearance, which likewise had bright white hair and a tiny body.
Faerie lowered her voice and asked, "Really?"
'Is this the kind of intuition that only flower enthusiasts have?'
'Or perhaps she's another important character?'
'But who? I don't recall any character involved with flowers....'
'Ah... There is, but he's a man....' When Faerie became concerned, the girl abruptly ended her daydream.
"Yeah, Miss!" The girl happily nodded as she handed her a bouquet.
With a wide smile, she said, "A treat for being a beautiful girl!"
Her genuine smile and words swiftly melted Faerie's caution.
