The Welcoming

Sinlan:

"We should have marked her already. Why are we waiting?"

It was becoming harder to reason with my wolf. He wasn't wrong exactly, but we made an agreement. "We made a deal to do it together. We have roughly 30 hours to go." In addition to the bond growing the full moon approaching was putting all wolves on edge. Not the most peaceful time to be putting instincts on hold. Sylvia's words and tears had given me enough control for now. She meant her apology, it wouldn't happen again. I was walking into the hallway, my wolf still growling at postponing his mating bond being finalized. It would be here soon enough, the big baby.

"Call me that again!" I laughed silently to myself at his response. It was a short walk to the upper level where Silas was walking out of his room. Sylvia and her friend were still in her room. We leaned against the wall, waiting.
