Sinlan:
As I neared Sie and Lane I felt a wave of concern from Sylvia. Was she nervous about tonight? The feeling didn't last long, she relaxed again quickly. I shifted back and turned to see the two men standing with their backs to the store plaza, their eyes searching the forest. "When was he last seen?"
Sie turned to face me, Lane walked to one of the trees at the forest edge and began to climb it for a better view. "He says he saw him about two hours ago circling by the house, he trailed his scent to here but no luck seeing him since." Sie threw me a pair of shorts and I nodded my thanks.
So he could still get through the new shields, it was unfortunate that they couldn't keep him out. I felt Sie's eagerness, his frustration at Fures taunting us. He couldn't go out on his own again, Sylvia needed him here, I needed him here. Our pack needed him focused. I couldn't afford to get angry either. Sylvia needed us to stay calm.
